Nox Hotel Galway

The staff at reception, serving staff and both night porters were so helpful, friendly, nothing too much bother, kind and professional. Lobby area open, airy, and well decorated with plenty of casual seating as well as big terrace area with plenty of outdoor furniture. Sun umbrellas with heaters . The ATM in the lobby is very handy. Good breakfast choices and excellent lunch afternoon menu to 5pm. Overall a very welcoming and attentive service was appreciated. Late night bar for residents open until 3am.

Room a bit dark and cramped with 3 beds when we booked a 2 singje beds only room, but clean. Mattresses very light, and provided very poor support. Distance from city centre meant hiring taxis to and from hotel costing between €8-€10 per journey.

Loved the decor, it was fun and very inviting. Easy to get too. and the staff were great! We were passing through the area for the night and stayed in for dinner, and the staff were great. I wanted to give a shout out to the manager who was so lovely chatting with us, sharing travel experiences, whiskey knowledge, and he spoke of his facilities with such pride… you couldn’t help but feel like you were being treated to an experience by staying there! 10/10!

Not a complaint… the lighting when you get off the elevator was a little dark and maybe this was because of the deep blue wall colour as well.

It was clean, food was good for dinner

too dark in the hallway on our floor. breakfast was good but overcooked. we had good wifi first night, then next day we could not get wifi. when we spoke with agent at desk, she blamed it on our IPhones. we explained all good night before, but she basically walked away and started serving someone else. later that evening when we went down for dinner we explained that we had some service at times and she did say that other customers were complaining of no wifi service. you definitely have a problem with the service. when we arrived at another hotel the next day we have very good service. it’s not our iPhones.

Where will I start, from the spacious car park to the beautiful bedroom. The fabulous decor that starts at the front door...Fantastic breakfast...Friendly helpful staff. On returning from a show in the city at 11.30pm althought the kitchen was closed the front of house staff cooked a beautiful pizza for my husband and I, enjoyed with gorgeous cocktails... I can't praise this hotel enough. Met the lovely business manager in the morning and her warmth and kindness is transferred to all the staff...they all seemed happy to be working in the Nox...Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and stressfree from a very busy stressful normal working life... Don't hesitate in booking this hotel....it's better than lots of 4 🌟 that we've stayed in

I must praise all staff at Nox hotel! It was my birthday and the general manager Mr. O'Brien had left a lovely message! So Mr. O'Brien, if you read this say "Hello!" from Nadina & Boris to the lovely ladies at the Reception desk and praise Your chef for the delicious "Ceasar" salad! Your staff is top of the tops! Always smiled, neat and updated about anything going on in Galway! You definetely feel the human touch, behind their proffessionalism! It is always a pleassure! We will be back soon for another top quality stay at Nox hotel!

The room was so comfortable and clean, with lots of storage space and hanging space for jackets and the like. The hotel was a great space to return to after a long day visiting the city. The 24hour reception desk was also very handy as we didn't need to worry about getting back at night before a certain time.

The hotel in general is very warm, but it was a struggle to control the temperature inside the room using the thermostat and we ended up having to leave the windows open at night. The shampoo provided in the bathroom also wasn't great, maybe consider bringing your own with you if you decide to stay.

We got an early check in which was really helpful and room was comfy and very clean, its a great location, we meet up with some friends in the bar for coffee, we have actually stayed here before, we went to the cinema and then came back for dinner which was good, the waitress was very friendly

The waitress was very friendly even laughing with us about the name of a dish dirty fries, but the waiter was grumpy he wasn't happy we arrive at 8.30pm for dinner told us 3 times that finishes serving at 9pm and we couldn't have certain things on the menu like the steak or chicken supreme because it would be to late to order it, he wanted us to order drinks straight away but we had just sat down and hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu, but later after we ate and we had finished before 9 he had calmed down offer us another drink in a more polite way 😅

Location - was easy to find on the outskirt of Galway. Would not recommend guests taking their cars into Galway city centre due to complicated road system & difficulty parking. Plenty of taxis available- about 7-10 euros. We had a ground floor room. Nice breakfast - fruit salad provided.

We had booked to stay 2 nights but not consecutive, & after first night were promised they would allocate same room for our stay 3 nights later. This promise was not kept ! Breakfast could have been even better if cold meat, cheeses bread rolls could have been on offer as well.

First time ever the room was not up to it normal standard which was very poor as the price was very high for one night .i took photoes i did show then to the desk on leaving but he did say sorry but no more he was quite flippent to be honest i wasent giving out i just felt you needed to be made aware maybe if i did make a fuss he might of offered us a cup of tea whitch would of deing the right thing to do i not saying we would of accepeted it as we were .going shoping in the town but the offer would of being nice Thank you Donna

The hotel was Lovely and very modern, great atmosphere and very welcoming, the room was spotless we couldnt fault it and the cleaner's were in both days we were there, all staff were a pleasure to deal with no matter what time of day or late at night even ,we always got a good conversation and a laugh out of them, we had food from the restaurant both days and it was lovely and goid value fir money , we have stayed here once before and we will definitely be returning in the future highly recommended.
