Great Hotel. Great hospitable hardworking staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. Fantastic view from the roof veranda. Great location for visiting the Old City on foot. Enchanting atmosphere and welcoming to all.

The check-in took longer than expected but the staff were helpful and conciliatory. The entry to the hotel was only accessible by walking in from one of the Gates over bumpy stone streets, which would have been almost impossible for an elderly person with lots of luggage without help. I walked in from the Jaffa gate, got lost a few times and was very exhausted by the time I found it, but I loved it while there. Taxi to the airport was fast and friendly but much more expensive than expected and only takes cash payments (walking out to the Damascus gate required).

The property is smack dab in the middle of the Old City. Close to the Damascus gate so easy access to the trolley to get to the train station or anywhere else in Jerusalem. Step outside and head in either direction to explore this amazing city. At night it gets super quiet which IMHO has it’s own allure but I never felt unsafe. The room was spacious and clean, water pressure good, and the bed was comfortable. The garden area overlooking the city including Temple Mount is WOW! Go there at sunset.

I would have preferred to have my own key but you must leave at reception when heading out. Not that there’s much to do in Old City at night but I don’t believe reception is there 24/7 so make sure you know when you’ll be back. I left early AM and left the key at the desk, which worked out. The hotel is also conservative so no unmarried couples - totally respect but just should be aware.

Our stay in this hotel inside the old city of Jerusalem has been simply unforgettable. Unfortunately we could spend only one night, but our triple room with panoramic view on the old town, almost in front of the Dom of the Rock, has been fantastic! The staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel is charming, from the bottom (where a great buffet breakfast is served) until the top, with a superpanoramic terrace, full of atmosphere and nice to be used at any time of the day/night. The position is perfect to visit the old city. Around the hotel a lot of shops, facilities and family restaurants. Thankyou very much for let us live a dream. We really hope to come again and we wish you all the best!

1. The hotel is exactly in the middle of one important point in the city Damascus Gate, but is not noise at all. 2. From the top of the hotel you have a restaurant/Café with one of the best view 360 of the city. 3. The room was clean 4. The whole place is traditionally decorated 5.Hotel is conservative (no unmarried couples allowed) - personal preference

1.Fridge is missing - its very important for Israel as most hotels and hostels have one unless you like to drink your water/ juice warm. 2.Need a bit of renovation - especially in the bathroom

10++ even from our arrival. The check in receptionist was great, he offered us late check out, free breakfast (but we sleep a lot and didn't go) Also they gave us free dinner (normal 18 euro), this we ate because we where very tired and this offer came perfectly for us and we thank them very much. Staff excellent the location is superb and perfectly placed If you stay there park at Damascus gate and then walk 500 meters (parking around 20 euro) If ever in Jerusalem for sure this is our number one option.

There is nothing not to like, everything was beyond expectations

The location is perfect in every way. The hotel is situated close to the Haram and right in a bazaar. Lots of shops and restaurants adjacent to the hotel. The hotel is also very conveniently located near Damascus Gate with bus and tram stops immediately outside should you wish to make external Ziarats. I think we were very lucky with our room which was very spacious and had a modern shower head. To our surprise breakfast was included. Beautiful view of Al Aqsa from the rooftop and the hotel is Muslim owned.

everything starts with the people: very polite & friendly. Location: simply great. View from Terrace: unique & enjoyable. Price/Value: very good. Suggestions: - get your lunch/dinner from the nearby take away/restaurants, then get to the rooftop terrace and simply enjoy the view. - if you have heavy luggage, you might need to get a kind of transport vehicle from the Damascus Gate (nearest entrance to the Old City). Otherwise, it is 5-10 minutes walk in the narrow crowded pedestrian street. - try to wake up early and walk around the old city, ahead of the crowds & tourist groups. The hotel location is ideal for that. - visit the rooftop terrace anytime of the day, the view will get you into the vibe of the old city. - the hotel is in the Muslim quarter, so you must take care of the rules (unmarried couples etc). that's all, looking forward to our next visit/stay. Greetings.

If you are used to EU/US standards, you will find the room a bit "outdated", kind of "worn out". Personally, it did not disturb us at all, we had nice view from our room, overlooking the old city, plus we slept well. After all is a two-star accommodation, so, all ok!

This was the second time we stayed here and this time I chose purposefully for the comfort of my elderly parents I was travelling with. Recent updates made it even more welcoming than previously. Most helpful was the ability to hire a “golf car Tuk Tuk” that took my disabled mother from the door of the hotel to the door of the AlAqsa mosque. All this made it so easy for us to visit this beautiful old city. Cold water / tea and coffee in the lobby adds a layer of comfort.

1. Advice about it booking an airport shuttle was not very clear.. 2. Some of the staff do not seem very happy - especially the dining room. it’s easier to pop outside to the many restaurants and bakeries for food !

obviously location, location and location :). staff was supper nice to an extent that my return flight was late on the day, and when I requested late checkout the offered so (they were even generous with their late checkout) FREE of charge.

The food was great but I expected more of local (I.e. Falafel, Fava Beans etc..) instead of continental. Also due to its old style and lack of innovation, you could easily hear if someone cough outside the room. However, those points didn’t really bother from giving them 10 stars as that’s what anybody should expect in such a busy & local location
