Hotel Cardinal of Florence

Where do I start! the staff are absolutely lovely: Lorenzo, Mario and Martes couldn’t of been more helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the local area providing us with tips. We had breakfast on the terrace every morning, with beautiful views of Florence, this is a European breakfast so boiled eggs, cheese, meats and croissants 🥐 with coffee, tea, OJ or pineapple juice. The room was clean, and had good facilities with a comfy bed, was the best 3* we’ve stayed in, we will definitely stay again when visiting Florence! this hotel is in walking distance of everything in the centre.

not a complaint, more of an observation: The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a residential building with no lift, so has a very authentic feel that we wanted for our visit, the staff help you with your bags on arrival and departure, however, if you struggle with stairs this may not be the place for you!

Quaint, reasonably priced hotel with lovely roof terrace views, good breakfast selection and extremely helpful staff. We appreciated the good air con and the unlimited supply of filtered water. Drinks both from the bar and the mini bar were inexpensive. There was no lift and the hotel is on the third floor but staff were immediately on hand to help with luggage and were able to call taxis and advise on where to find ATMs etc

The standout of this hotel is the staff. Every member of staff was so helpful, thoughtful and kind. I don't know if it is a family run business, or just wonderfully engaged and motivated people, but really noticeable. The location of the hotel is perfect - right where you need to be. Room size was fine. AC worked well. Bathroom size was fine - shower was rather small - probs 700mm square Breakfast was great. Staff helped with getting luggage up the stairs

We clearly didn't read the small print about this being on the 3rd or 4th floor and no lift. That surprised us when we arrived. If you're not happy to climb these stairs each time you return to the hotel, then maybe this isn't for you. Aside from that, the property is an older building, but nicely refurbished - shower fittings are older, but not a big deal.

the building has been there for like 600 years is very nicely renovated so clean quiet and the staff are so kind and helpful. the breakfast is the best fresh every morning to your choose croissants 🤙 so good and they have a device that makes the best and always perfect cappuccinos all types of morning coffee drinks. views are amazing on roof balcony. wine at night to watch sun go down. rooms and beds very comfortable we stayed 4 days lived it. Mario helped get us a cab they help you with your bags up and down the stairs as no lift but the location and history of this building is so worth the steps

nothing loved it all

the location was incredible, walking distance to everywhere and the employees are extremely reliable and friendly. there is also a bar at the front of the street which is extremely affordable and the bartenders there are also just as friendly. the breakfast is better than im used to at hotels in europe, the view from the balcony and the roof is beautiful and everything about it was perfect. they do have a coffee machine in the room which was super useful when traveling high pace. they did have shampoo and showergel but no toothpaste, which is fine cuz there is a shop nearby maybe 1-2 mins away that most things are 99cents so i could easily get toothpaste. overall, the price is absolutely worth it for the service and the location ure getting. pillows, duvet, bed eveeything super comfotrable, clean cozy towels.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great location and walkable distance to almost all attractions. Rooms were of a good size (we booked a triple room). All the required amenities were provided. Great view from the Terrace. Hotel in the 3rd floor and the hotel staff handled taking the baggages to our room and back.

The hotel is on the 3rd floor and hence may not work for some people. No issues for our family though.

Very central Hotel with the most beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. The hotel is located in the 3rd floor with no elevator but the staff helps with taking the luggage up and down. Everyone working here was always very friendly and very happy to help with anything too. The room was nice as well, clean and also with a great view of the Duomo. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My room was right next to the entrance to the rooftop terrace so it could get quite noisy depending how often/many people walked up and down. The bed was a bit too hard for me.

This is a beautiful hotel!!! Right from check-in the staff really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome! They all speak very good English and are so warm and friendly. The superior double rooms are spacious and very clean with a well stocked mini bar with very reasonable prices for items. The continental breakfast was amazing and be sure to check out the city view from the rooftop terrace. The local restaurant recommendations from the staff were very good. The location is wonderfully central all main attractions within 10-15 min walk, the train station is an easy 20min walk.

absolutely nothing to fault, Hotel Cardinal of Florence is well deserving of such a high rating.

The location was perfect for walking around the historic city centre, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in giving us the information we needed to make the very best of our stay in Florence, we only had one night in the city as we were touring Italy by train, but it is definitely somewhere I would stay again and would recommend to fellow travellers and friends and family (the breakfast was great).

The location was perfect! Very central and easily walkable to many historical and cultural sights. We got to enjoy the view from the roof which was just spectacular! The staff was incredible! They are so accommodating, answered all our questions, helped us with requests and our bags and were so kind and lovely. I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to friends!

It is a bit hard to find the hotel when you just arrive, but that is quickly resolved after you get settled.
