The room was very attractive, with walls decorated in paintings of tuscan scenery. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was perfect with a large shower. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Alice was delightful and very helpful as was another lady who cleaned the rooms. Location was perfect - 15 minute walk to main attractions. B&B located in a very safe and classy area.

Always disappointed when there is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, especially as there was no option elsewhere in the B&B. From our perspective, the impersonal automatic check in was a negative - whilst Alice was very helpful, it would have been good to have been given information (restaurants etc). We felt very much left to our own devices. Having said the above, if we were to visit Florence again, we would definitely consider villa Tortorelli.

The complete silence of the villa with only the bird song and distant church bells to wake to in the morning. The charming rooms with painted ceilings remind us of the palazzos but the modern marble bathrooms are an added luxury. Friendly unobtrusive staff maintain the villa spotless and its central location means it’s 15 mins from the main attractions of Florence. Don’t miss the rooftop terrace with a view of the Duomo-magic!

The staff were wonderful - super helpful and accommodating. It was easy to check in early and leave bags at the property after checkout. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were new (excellent shower pressure), minibar was very well priced, pool area lovely, aircon excellent, breakfast nice (cold buffet with coffee), and ideal location (walking distance to everything including a lovely market).

No major complaints. Room was slightly smaller than expected but still a great size and bigger than other properties we've stayed at in Italy. Self check in, room codes, etc easy to use once you get your head around it! Make sure you read the instructions sent beforehand.

Great place to stay, very good location only 10 minute walk from the Duomo. Very quiet and secluded. Rooms were a good size and very clean with spacious and updated bathrooms, loved the power rain showers. Having a pool at this time in Florence honestly made the world of difference. There are a lot of reviews about checking in but we found it super simple and easy, if you can read instructions and type in numbers you'll be fine! The lady onsite was also very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was quite limited, and not many GF options for my partner but this was a very minor inconvenience.

Good location, 30 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station (taxi ten mins/16e), 10 mins to main hub of Florence. Room was spacious with plenty of storage and with temperatures hitting nearly 40C, the air con was just bliss. The pool was the perfect place to hang out at any time of day, with shady spots if the direct sun was too much. Buffet breakfast; eat in or by the pool - always plenty to choose from. Both owner and staff were extremely pleasant; Alice couldn't do enough for us - even found us an emergency dentist. Excellent customer service.

The location of the villa is superb. The place is close to city center, but in a quieter place. You can get everywhere on foot. The area is very green. There is a small park across the street. I loved the cosiness of the villa itself. It's very private, not seen from the streets. This gives the feeling of safety and comfort. I loved the pool and the terrace on the roof. My room was very clean, which I really appreciate. Not to mention the interiors will be a failure. They are vintage, Italian and stylish. Love them! Breakfast and hospitality are also top!

I liked the digital locks system but prefer them to be a little quieter. Sometimes I heard the beeping from the lock when neighbours are back. It's not a big problem, though.

The villa was lovely and quiet. The room was huge and very clean and modern. The bathroom was amazing with great lighting and mirrors, twin sinks and a big shower. The air conditioning was top class and there is plenty of storage for everything. The pool although small was just right. A shame there were not as many bed chairs in the sun. But the whole place was spotless. The terrace was an added bonus with views of the Duomo.

We didn’t go for breakfast option as it was quite expensive. It did look good, but there are plenty of coffee shops around.

We moved to Villa Torterelli after our first night in another apartment in Florence that was underwhelming. Villa Torterelli was exactly what we wanted - the room was clean and comfortable; the terrace was a great place to relax with a drink; and the pool was a fantastic place to cool down and unwind. Would definitely stay again.

The bed was a bit firm, but we have found that to be standard in italy. Breakfast was a bit basic. Those issues were very minor though - overall it was an excellent experience and we would stay there again.

It wasn’t perfect but we really liked Villa Tortorelli. So quaint. rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. Far from all the crowds but close enough to walk to everything. Alicia and Katerine (the staff) were fantastic. they really went out of their way to accommodate us and made it feel like home. we had an issue with the AC unit one night but it was quickly resolved.

the breakfast was lacking. the coffee served is nestle (not good for an Italy experience). I think they should work to improve this as other B&Bs do a much better job with what they serve - fresh coffee would be great! also, they sometimes rent out half the villa which means you don’t have access to the rooftop and the breakfast is served inside vs. the patio. this is very deceiving as they advertise the rooftop and breakfast on the patio on the website and that is the reason I booked it. we were only able to use it 2 days out of 7 because it was unavailable the other days.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The villa is beautifully decorated both in the common areas and in the individual rooms. The staff were incredible helpful when we needed help and went above and beyond to make our stay in Florence comfortable. The breakfast was great and we really loved how close the park was to the villa and proximity to the city center. A great stay!

As a wheelchair user, the gravel drive way and the step to the front door were annoying to get through everyday. I needed help to access the villa, breakfast room and our room because of the random steps. I wouldn't recommend this place for a wheelchair user who wants to be completely independent.
