Gu Hotel

It's a good hotel. It had everything we needed, including Wifi and A/C. We arrived quite late at night but received a welcoming check-in and things went very smoothly. Parking is indeed free within the premises. The breakfast was rich, fresh and very enjoyable. It was a perfect place for our needs (first night in Italy, right after landing, on our way to Abruzzo).

Unfortunately the surrounding is perhaps an industrial area, with unpleasant odor in the whole neighborhood...It didn't bother us while we were indoors, and I assume the hotel staff have no control of that, but it was noticeable.

what is NOT to like? Friendly and accommodating staff, lovely breakfast, quiet comfortable modern rooms with excellent AC. Plenty of good & safe secure parking. We liked it so much we extended our stay another night. Good food near by for dinner, and a nice cafe nearby with gelato, what more can be required?

Nearly nothing, only we did need to travel into the city and to the west side of the city, but nothing the hotel can do about that, the good parking and quiet nights sleep far out way any distance from the city. I suppose it depends on where you are going and how you are to get there, the drive was maybe 15 minutes in traffic, so not terrible.

The Gu Hotel is situated down a residential street, and offers free secure parking. It is a modern new building and as such everything about it was clean, very well maintained and in superb condition. The bedroom was a good size as was the bathroom, and it had all the facilities that we required for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was a self serve buffet which had a plentiful supply of everything that you required to set you up for the day. Staff were really pleasant and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay, thank you

There was nothing about the hotel that we did not like. They do not have a restaurant on site but the friendly helpful reception staff were quick to give you guidance to some nice places to eat nearby within walking distance.

New Hotel, comfy bed, amazing shower, good A/C, staff is lovely, good breakfast.

Extremely disappointed with the outside light that doesn’t turn off. it was extremely bright and comes from Ground lvl up. The room is so bright that was not possible sleep on the first night. We used the blanket to cover the window in order to have a bit of darkness. The place needs blackout curtains. It Ramses over 1 hour to get to town by public transport

We stayed at GU overnight on our way from North to South. The room actually consists of two rooms: one with a double bed and another one with a single one. There is a microfridge in the room. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is good for the price. Yoghurt, cold meats, pastry, cereals, fresh fruit, etc. Location is very quiet. A big supermarket is 3 minutes drive away.

It's about 10 minute drive from the autostrada, a little more than I expected. An addition of cheese would make breakfast more decent. A kettle in the room would also be helpful, although when I asked for a boiled water, the receptionist gave it to me free of charge.

Everything I expected. It was just 1 night at the end of the trip, close to the airport, early flight. Room was wonderful, bed is comfortable, available extra pillows, blanket, linens, air conditioning handling nicely the 40oC/104oF outside. Small refrigerator kept drinks cold. Quiet, no noise from outside.I woke up renewed for a tough flight day.

The shower cabinet is not very comfortable. One must do some moves inside to be able to shower completely. But the water temperature and pressure was very nice. Bathroom was also well enough for our needs.

The room was compact to our liking, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was well lit and ventilated. The room had a nice window for some air. The breakfast provided was very sufficient. The staff were friendly.

During one of the two nights we spent, there was a lot of noise by other guests and it went on beyond midnight. But not for too long. After a tiring day, we expected some quiet. It was ignorable once we caught some good sleep.

Cosy hotel undergoing nice renovation. It feels like home as it is in a nice residential area. No ancient carpets, long daunting hallways and a gazillion rooms. Just what I like.

Location/distance to city and airport wasn’t that encouraging. You’re better off with own transportation.

The hotel is ideal for a short stop, as we did, as it's not too far from A1, not too far from Tivoli or Villa Adriana. Very modern facility. The new part was erected a couple of years ago, while the main building was reconstructed very recently. The hotel has own parking area (big). Breakfast is correct, good quality. Even the hotel doesn't have restaurant, but there is a very good one nearby (700-800 m far), called La Veranda.

The surrounding area looks -let's say- not too attractive.

Staff were pleasant and it was a clean, small hotel away a bit from the Rome area if you wanted a reasonably priced hotel. The room was clean and had everything you needed for a 1 nighter.

The hotel didn't have a restaurant which would have been useful if you are only staying for one night and don't want to have the effort of finding one in the evening.
