Koala Hostel

This is a very nice and clean hostel. The guys that work the front desk are very kind and friendly and willing to assist however they can. You can see the cleaners throughout the day working hard to keep the place the way it is, clean! The male dorm for 6 was spacious and clean with an ensuite. The best time to shower is in the evening and at night because the morning time the hot water is scarce. Overall I enjoyed my night stay here and will stay again. They do have a kitchen area and hang out area downstairs. The place is gated and entry to the building and your room requires a key card.

The heat was very strong. There was a girl in the room who didn't want me to open the bathroom door for air to circulate, she said pests would come in. but she had a fan for her in addition to the one on the ceiling. Between pests and heat, it's best to use repellent. Don't forget to bring your repellent and talk to the hotel staff first. So you can open the bathroom door so much more air gets in. Due to sanitary measures, air must always circulate when there are several people in a small space.

Koala hostel was in a great location, close to a subway station, walking distance from Milano Centrale railway station and also possible to walk to the Duomo area. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a comfortable lounge area with lots of books and also a small bar. Despite the close proximity to excellent transport links, the hostel was peaceful at night, so I felt safe and had a great sleep!

Its very well located, just a few minutes from the metro station. Very nice rooms and cosy beds. Also there are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby. Probably the best wifi I've ever used in a hostel. Didn't loose connection or stop working once. The staff were all really nice and helped me out with what I needed. Besides crowded, the rooms were comfy and I could sleep well during my stay.

Super important this Hostel has 24hs reception, and it is really important!!!.The Hostel is really great, it is 2 min walking to the meteo Loretto, easily gookg ro the central statuon and all around, easy walking (20min) to the city centre, or 15 min to Milano Centrale train statuon, lots of restaurants around, easy communication with the Hostel team via message, very clean and comfortable. Really recommend.

The rooms are clean as are the beds. My room had big windows wich was good to let the cool evening air in (Milano in summer is very hot). Even thou I had booked a mixed bed room the stuff was so kind to but me in to a woman's dorm. <3

The sheets were freshly washed but had stains on them. The kitchen could be cleaner. The showers are tiny and there's little room to hang your clothes. But other that that absolutely fine to shower in.

The hostel offers a fun while meeting new people everywhere and everyday. This is my second time in Koala and both experiences have been extremely great. The rooms are either private or shared with other travellers and you can have a beer at the common area 24h open. I totally recommend it if you want to meet new people while staying in a fun and safe place

Great lobby and nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Location is really good right next to the metro station Loreto and tram and bus stops. Only 5 metro stations away from the cathedral and 10 minutes away from the Central Station. It gets really noisy by some roomates so be sure to bring some earplugs. Also, there’s a kitchen to prepare some breakfast by yourself. :)

As a local it is important to to establish good places to eat and drink and to meet up with friends. This hostel has never failed to do this and it’s always a pleasure to see staff with a smile on their faces and always helpful. I spent a very enjoyable weekend when visiting the area for an event. Good value, friendly staff, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I liked to location, convenient. Metro station in 5 minutes, variety of restaurants, the big street with all the shops also in 5-10 minutes. The place itself was okay, but for the hostel is really good one. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, nice people to talk to. Atmosphere of the place was chill and sort of cozy :)

It’s normal for hostels, but soundproof is weak.
