Hotel Cervetta 5

The hotel and the room were clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. In advance, I asked for a gluten free breakfast including bread and this was provided. The breakfast was overall good. Room was cleaned every day unless I requested it wasn't. Location is excellent near restaurants, cafes and bars. 15-20 minute from the railways station, entirely manageable. It was quiet, my window wasn't towards the street so no traffic noise (also the street is small so there isn't much traffic). Air condition kept the room at a very good temperature.

I stayed in a single room, the cheapest of the hotel. It was still relatively expensive and extremely basic. No decor and the window looked out at another window a metre away. For the price, I would have hoped for a little effort on the decor as it was somewhat depressing. But it was clean, that's the most important thing. I got a peak of the other rooms when they were being cleaned, the decor looked very nice.

I liked staying at this hotel as it was very quiet and peaceful, the stuff was very polite and helpful, they speak English, the room is small but clean. The hotel is located 2-5 minutes from the bars/restaurants/coffee places/pharmacy/ touristic streets, about 5-7 minutes to the stores like Zara, Mango, H&M and others, and about 15 minutes walk from the train station. I also walked all the way to Museum Enzo Ferrari, it took me around 20 minutes.

The only thing I did not like was that the room was dark during the daytime. I was not spending any time in the room during the day, but the windows are facing the wall of another building, so there is almost no light during the day. I had to switch the lights on. So, no view. And please mind that there are no big supermarkets around, only small shops.

The hotel staff were professional, friendly and so very helpful. The front desk was staffed 24hrs/day. They went over and above in assisting us with recommendations, making our dinner reservations, calling taxis, and tour reservations. The location was just a few minutes walk to the City Center and an amazing Mercardo that we ate at daily! The rooms were cleaned every day, plenty of towels and bath accessories - they offered breakfast in the mornings, and would make you a cappuccino anytime you asked!

This was a find. great location, not the easiest to drive to but it the hotel gave some really good directions that were easy to follow. The staff would bend over backwards to help for any request such as Ironing board or a kettle. They seemed interested in why I was at the hotel and what I thought of the area.

Not the hotels fault but lots or road works and closuers made it slightly more difficult to get to the hotel, im sure this will no longer be an issue soon.

we were greeted by the host and managed to get a space in the hotel garage. Check in was simple and friendly, Cynthia gave us lots of local information and helped us with our bags to our room. The room was comfy and tastefully decorated, nice shower and super quiet aircon. Outside it was 34 degrees and the host had put the aircon on in our room prior to arrival. Very simple thing to do but very rarely do any hotels bother

No problems at all with the property but if you are planning to have dinner on a Tuesday then pre-book because a good number were closed

Intimate & tastefully decorated with powerful air conditioning in room & public areas, comfortable bed, good hot water & mood lighting. There was a good Continental breakfast with home made unflavoured yoghurt, brioches, breakfast cereal, two types of perfectly ripe fruit (kiwi + another which I forget), prune, apricot & amarena tortes, other sweet options & coffee. Several staff had very good English. Thanks to the male staff member from Leeds, U.K., who guided me through a stressful half hour when I discovered I had double-booked on bookingdotcom. He helped me solve the problem in the most rational manner. Thanks also to the sharp-eyed lady staff who spotted my camera in the toilet after I had checked out. When they couldn't call me because my phone was on Do Not Disturb, they called my taxi driver who found me at Modena station & took me back to Cervetta 5 for no charge whatsoever. People in Modena were so kind to me that I get tears when I think of it. This hotel is so centrally located that you won't miss any event in the town square, & is very convenient for bars, cafes & restaurants.

I would have liked to open the window in my room. Disabled people may find it inconvenient that there is no elevator. But there aren't many stairs & I managed them despite being 67 years old with a bad knee.

The location is excellent next to all of Modena's attractions.Far from train station. The interior decoration of the hotel is beautiful. Big, quiet and beautiful room,but wthout minibar and safe

Check-in is at 2 p.m.I arrived at 12 p.m. and they only let you into the room after 2 p.m. They don't even bother to check if there is a room available. Hotel around 120 euros without elevator (ok,no problems for most of people, there are 2 floors), but without safe and minibar in the room.

Lucia was very helpful and told me names of all the restaurants I should go to in Modena. Unfortunately I left my cheese and Jamon which I had just bought from the market and kept it in your fridge. We both forgot so I sent her a message that she should eat it and. enjoy and that its a gift from me. She and the girl in the morning were very good and I will definitely recommend your lovely hotel to many others and will also come back as I really enjoyed Modena, albeit for a short while.

The location of the hotel is perfect and close to a lot of things you'd like to see. The room we stayed in was cozy and nice, with a view to the street. And the bed was comfortable:) The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. In general, we wouls choose this place for our next stays in beautiful Modena.

It was a bit noisy outside the window during the late hours of the night.

The location is fantastic, really close to the Duomo di Modena where we were guests for a wedding. The rooms are really cute, decorated in a really nice and fresh way. Having the free parking ticket from the hotel was also a big perk!

The only points are have are; finding parking is a nightmare if you have not booked with their private parking area. My only suggestion would be to send a detailed map of the available blue parking areas so its easier to find before you arrive. Another comment was there is nowhere to hang your towels in the bathroom, they have these really cute hanger decorations for you to use but the towels don't stay on them so that was frustrating. Apart from that it was amazing!
