clean, comfortable with lovely helpful staff. A nice complimentary continental breakfast on site in the associated restaurant (being early season this was closed in the evening like many places nearby. From April onwards, I expect this would be open, so food and a bar on site). The climate control system might be an issue when it is full summer. it is not an individual room air conditioning system ( it was explained to us). Also we were the only occupants of the hotel for some nights and on others perhaps two or three other rooms were occupied. Even so, the beautifully tilled corridors and room floors echoed if chairs in nearby rooms were moved and when cases were wheeled along. Not a problem for us as we were up and out early but I can image it might be intrusive for some. Balcony is shared by all rooms on the same level, though secure from ground level, so this could be a problem for some. An electric powered shutter can be raised and lowered from inside the room to ensure security whilst allowing the doors to the balcony to be left open at night for airflow. There is a 24 hour reception desk and the place just does feel very safe! Talking of which, there is one in the room. An ideal base for doing the sights as an independent traveler. 200m to the entrance to Pompei Scavi, you pass the entrance to the train station at 100m from the site! and can catch the bus up to Vesuvius from outside the station(€3.60 single fare, if memory serves, but remember you must book a pass €11ish to enter the “park” when you get there. easy to do online.) Trains to Naples stop at Herculaneum and go to Sorrento in the other direction, again they are quite cheap fares €2.60 into Naples and 3.60 to Sorento.

One of the most conveniently located hotels ever! The hotel is 50 metres from the main train station to reach the Pompeii ruins (Pompeii Scavi / Villa dei Misteri), and about the same distance from one of the gates into the ruins themselves. It's got the feel of a chain hotel - very clean, simple but comfortable rooms, no frills but everything you need for a couple of nights' stay. One tip is to request when you make your booking that your room is in the Zeus itself, we saw a lot of reviews of people who were relocated to the Hotel Diomede which is nearly a km away which would undermine the whole point of being there. But as long as you are on the main site, it's a great place to use for a few nights as a base to explore anywhere along the Circumvesuviana line - Herculaneum, the Villa dei Poppea etc as well as the Pompeii ruins themselves- quicker and easier than basing yourself in Naples.

The free breakfast was a croissant and a cup of tea, so you might need an early lunch if you're spending 8 hours walking around the ruins. I can imagine that in the high tourist season it might get busy / noisy but we were there in March and it was quiet and very comfortable.

The hotel was in a perfect spot for exploring the area and to get to both Naples and Sorrento by train very easily. Also the entrance to Pompeii itself is right along the road, so only had to pay entrance fee, no 'tour' needed! The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable and a good large bed. There was a fridge in the room, so great for a bottle or two and some snacks. Also a small table and 2 chairs if we wanted to sit and eat anything. The corridors were nice and clean and the staff all very friendly and helpful

The pillows could have been a bit better - they perhaps need renewing soon - a bit lumpy! But they were ok. The breakfast was a simple continental breakfast - but was perfectly adequate - we had coffee, orange juice a croissant and yogurt each morning - there were also some basic cheese, meat and bread available too. For what we paid for the accomodation it was fine.

We stayed at the Hotel Zeus because it is located very close to Pompeii archaeological site since we had a family member with a limited ability to walk. It gave us an opportunity to start our visit early in the morning and explore the park on our own pace. And since we were early the bonus was the limited amount of visitors as well. The hotel arranged our three rooms next to each other and as they all have an access to one balcony it was very convenient to pop in and out. The rooms were very clean and beds super comfy. Recommended!

Place was nice and clean . Air in worked nice . My room was. cleaned and tidied after one night . The parking I was able to park my bike right outside my window and free to do so . And what I didn’t expect was Pompeii ruins were 200 yards down the road . Really busy in the day but once the ruins was shut it went really quiet . Good place to stay TBF

I was gave a room I didn’t book but the young lady sorted out straight away . When I 1st rolled up on my motorcycle and got off , I was challenged straight away by who I believe was the manager . Not understanding Italian I think he didn’t want me there , but when you park next to rest of the bikes at reception that’s what you do . He was going on , but when I showed the booking he went back in . Not the best start !

Room is very spacious, including the Bathroom. Breakfast is served just across the street, and was pretty good to keep you through the day. (coffee plus some croissant, bread etc) The location is ideal to visit the Pompei and there is a parking just outside the property which is free for the tenants of Zeus. There is also a Tesla charger but... The room supports also the visit from people in wheelchairs.

If you need a schuko plug (I had an iron with me), you will not find one easy. I usually used the one from the fridge or back of the TV. This is a general comment for all rooms I stayed in south Italy. There is also a Tesla charger but there is an extra pricey fee to charge your car. Get a devise for mosquitos! we had some in our room. Also there is a lot of noise from the automatic parking bar whenever a car is exiting. Overall, despite the above, I consider the stay at Zeus very pleasant.

The location is wonderful, right outside the Pompeii excavations and the train station and 2-3 cafes/ restaurants. They have their own restaurant which wasn’t fully functioning as we stayed in mid March, but opens towards the end of the month. There’s also a big camping area and we were able to use the camping washing/ drying facilities. We had a balcony and views of the carpark, full of orange trees. Wonderful. also very helpful lovely staff. We were thoroughly satisfied, and it was very reasonably priced and included continental breakfast.

Nice little appartment with super comfy double bed and a bunk bed. We booked a room with kitchenette and as it seems, these rooms are not at the location of the Zeus hotel but some 500m further at B&B Diomede, which is still near the Pompei escavations.

Our room with kitchenette was located some 500m from Zeus hotel and we had to go with our car for the breakfast (it was super hot in july and going by foot was not an option). Since the house has very thick walls, mobile or wi-fi signal was bad (we stayed at ground floor).

Good location to visit ruins.

The sink and shower were a little slow draining. There is actually an entrance door beyond reception which provides level access whereas the route from reception involves steps but this was not pointed out at check-in when my husband was using crutches. The cleaning lady was very helpful moving our suitcase but knowledge of the level access would benefit people with mobility needs when booking or on arrival.

Close to the ruins, restaurants and local train line. Plenty of buses going yo and from city center. Very helpful staff.

Accommodation with kitchen 0.5km away. Not great if walking with luggage. Be aware that the main train line is a 23min walk away, whereas the local pompei scavi is the local line that stops right in front of ruins and hotel. Bed hard and hard pillows.
