Beautiful cosy room in a historical building, provides everything you need as a single traveler. I especially liked the modern and very clean bathroom, the fact that there was a water kettle in the room to prepare tea and even a small fridge (which I didn't need, but for summer this might be crucial). The blankets were very warm and comfortable and there was a heating in case it had gotten colder. Both hosts are lovely persons, they take good care of their guests and are prepared to help in case of questions. The location is fantastic: less than ten minutes to walk from Termini, that's really helpful and there are many small grocery stores, bakeries, bars and restaurants in the same street. Stepping out the door you are basically at the back side of the Terme di Diocleziano and already in the historical centre of Rome. I must say that I usually pick accommodation in this quarter (Castro Pretorio), but this was by far the best place I have been to. I stayed a whole week and could easily have stayed longer. The colour scheme of the room is very nice in warm brown and beige, and it was mostly surprisingly quiet at night (my room was facing the yard).

The description said breakfast would be served in-house, at the room. This is not the case at present, perhaps due to COVID or due to off-season. Instead you get a block of vouchers for a daily coffee plus croissant in a nearby bar. The queue over there can be long, space and bakery are limited. On my first day the cornetti were already out, then I went earlier. If you are not used to drinking much coffee ☕ (like me), you can get a freshly pressed orange 🍊 juice instead. It's an authentic Italian very simple, quick and sweet "breakfast" 🥐. Luckily there are many alternative options nearby, so food is no problem.

Maria was amazing, We arrived in the evening and the reception is only from 9am-6pm, but she's given the instructions to get in the place/ room very clear. The room was spotlessly cleaned daily. Very close to termini, restaurants and mini grocery. The public bus 492 is even just in front so it's super easy to go around Rome and goes back to the hotel. We will definitely choose this place again if we'd come back.

The breakfast is outside the hotel about 2 blocks, a small cafeteria. they serve croissants, sandwiches, coffee of your choice and fresh orange juice. Would be nice to have other options that serve with eggs, fruits and yoghurt.

I like the location because it was close to the train station and easily walkable to many popular spots in Rome. Some people might feel it's far, but it's a very walkable distance. Maria was a lovely host and very welcoming. I love her vibe and attitude toward her guests. We felt very safe staying here. There are three layers of safety you have the massive door (typical in Italy) before you walk into the building, then you have bank style door before you can enter the hallway where your room is, and then you have another really big door to enter your room so we didn't feel at any point unsafe. Additionally, there are many restaurants nearby where you can enjoy a delicious meal.

The room was terrific. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. It was also two beds put together to make a queen bed, but after a full day's walking, we were so exhausted that we were able to get a good rest.

The location of the room - only 5 min from the train station - was perfect for me. If you like walking, you can also reach all the sights easily. The room was extremely clean, quiet, had everything you need. The whole building was welcoming, with a very friendly porter/janitor. Breakfast (drink and croissant) was available diagonally opposite in a small bar. The hosts Sara and Maria are exceptionally friendly!!! All communication was always friendly, quick and helpful. Very uncomplicated possibility to leave the suitcase still in the accommodation after checking out - many thanks! I can only recommend the guesthouse.

Good location, the bedroom was cleaned everyday and towels were changing every 3 days which is fine. It had always hot water for shower and the bed seemed to be nice quality. The host was very nice person. 24-h mini market just across the street.

The air conditioner was making noise. The bathroom a little small and the breakfast was a coffe/juice and one croissant per person-estimate cost around 10€, but we knew that things before we go, from the photos and from the comments, so I cannot complain for something i was aware of. Besides, if these things were better, the price would be more expensive i guess. All in all, the facilities and the benefits are exactly as described and as they look in the photos.

A great option for a short trip for two. Guest house is located in a historic building, the interior of the room allows you to take in the Italian atmosphere =) The room is clean and was cleaned daily. Very polite and nice hosts. Also the location of the guest house is perfect. To the center of a quiet walk you can walk in 20-25 minutes + near the station Termini, which makes it convenient to get to / from the airport Fiumicino. The accommodation price included a classic Italian breakfast in the form of fresh pastries and a cup of coffee in a cafe nearby.

From time to time the wi-fi signal disappeared, or was quite weak.

We opted this place for it's proximity to the station as we had luggage. Stay was comfortable and staff was good. With the hop on hop off bus it's convenient to roam but if you are planning to walk then all touristy places are far.

I wish the breakfast was in house. We had to walk 100 m to a pit stop with the coupons and options were very limited. Especially for parents. Wasted a lot of time as we had to plan for this in mind.

The room was perfect a clean comfy bed and clean working bathroom, all nicely decorated and filled with almost everything you’d need, fridge, safe, wardrobe, kettle coffee machine just outside the door, they even had adapter plugs incase you’d forgotten yours. A tv (we never used it) and the sachets were replenished daily

It would have been nice to have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner that were attached to the wall and refilled rather than using plastic sachets (I understand people take the bottles so in my opinion attaching them to the wall is the better solution for that even if it’s not as attractive)

Maria was lovely and very accommodating. We turned up early and she stored our bags. The breakfast at the local cafe up the road was delicious and staff their were helpful and friendly. There is a laundry mat close by. and it is walking distance to termini. Perfect location for everything. Nice linen on beds and confy bed very clean apartment. We loved our stay here.

Nothing everything was perfect

The guest house was in an ideal location only a short walk to the centre and tourists spots. Staff were welcoming and helpful, keeping in regular contact with us via whatsapp. The room was regularly cleaned and we were offered fresh towels, during our short stay. The room was equipped with the necessaties and more. Fresh fruit was provided; this was a lovely welcoming gesture. The breakfast was a hot drink and a bakery item from a local cafe. We were able to leave our luggage in the building after checking out, very convenient as we had a later flight. We would highly recommend Aelius as it was an overall a fantastic stay!
