The service is very nice, forthcoming and efficient. I stayed for 5 nights and they were so helpful with everything, in this unimitable Italian way, that they recognise you after seeing you only once, and treat you a bit as a befriended acquaintance. The hotel is of moderate size, in an old Italian 5-storey buidling, ca.60 rooms I think. It is overall well kept and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean., including bedding and towels. On the top floor, overlooking the roofs of Rome, is the breakfast/bar terrace. I opted for breakfasts and it was every day a very rich and qualitatively excellent selection of pastries, cakes, cheeses (Taleggio, ricotta..), hams, veggies, fruits, jams, etc... and excellent coffee. This floor is run by a "maitre de salle" - a very cheerful and professional person. Gives the place a character. Around the hotel are small shops, restos and cafes, if you want to eat out or get some water, fruits, yoghurts for your room.

The rooms are of rather moderate size, though manageable. The matrasses probably more appreciated by guests who prefer harder matrasses. It's a bit acoustic in there, room walls are thin and also the street is relatively noisy (I would recommend ear plugs for those who don't usually live in big city). I would normally write in the "minus" sections of the evaluation that the hotel is in the Roma Termini area, which does not have a great reputation. But it turned out better than expected, with many people walking even late at night, so no problem for a single female to return on foot at 11 pm....

Do not stay on the 5th floor, as the breakfast terrace is served from the 5th floor kitchen, where the prep for breakfast start at 6 am which is exceptionally noisy.

I was delighted to stay at EXE Domus Aurea Rome from April 30, 2023 until May 4, 2023. The hotel is conveniently situated in the city – close to the terminal and a number of small, fine restaurants. But mainly, the staff was delightful. We were greeted when we arrived by EleaNaura who was charming and extremely helpful. She was quick to pull our maps of the area and make clear to us how to find our way. Since we were early for check-in she securely stored our luggage while we found some wonderful fare around the corner at Sophia’s. Once we were able to get into our rooms I found a delightful space with everything I would need. I was booked in a room that looked to the rear of the building. As I result I was able to keep my window open during the night and enjoy a wonderful breeze. The staff gave the room a through cleaning each day including clean towels which weren’t really necessary. The breakfast area and the breakfast menu were great -got us off to a great start for touring! I enjoyed the stay and would gladly return.

The hotel is well located. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the manager. He has a few tips at hand about where to get the best icecream, etc. Rooms were very tidy. Breakfast offer was good and had options for every taste. The manager managed my move into a more quiet room without hesitation, thanks!

The hotel is located in the center of Rome near Termini station. There is noise on the street from passengers, cars, garbage trucks, delivery trucks until late in the night. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a quiet room on one of the upper floors.

I am genuinely charmed by the service and ambience in the hotel - a warm and friendly welcome with useful information about where we can see what. Our room was on the 3rd floor, extremely clean and well laid out, I wouldn't say it was small or cramped given the other comments, the bathroom wasn't small either, the bed was comfortable, the room had a safe. I have no remarks! Most of all I kept the cleanliness and recommend this place! The room is cleaned every day. The breakfast was very good and starting your day with a nice coffee and a view of Rome from up high is an advantage. The hotel is in a great location - 5 minutes walk from the train station where one can get to all the main attractions and the airport. At the same time some of the attractions are within walking distance - 20-30 min.

I arrived early morning after long flight hoping to leave my lagguges and stroll around until the check in time , but the nice lady (margherlita) hoping I write the correct name ! In reception gave us an option to check in directly or wait for better room upon officially check in time ! WoW that was unusual kindness So we checked in and it was nice tidy little room that we liked and couldn't ask for more.Thank you so much margherita for your help. Nice room with city view . Small nice clean bath room with a shower . Room cleaned daily Breakfast was amazing with delicious scrambled eggs that unusual in Rome hotels

welcoming owner who talks to his guests and is ready to address all issues- good style. very efficient and kind reception staff. bed linen so clean, bed comfortable. good shower. best bit: the breakfast in the beautiful rooftop room with a view over rome. yummy spread. also the location is pretty ideal. i arrived very early in the morning from a long journey and the staff was very accommodating by finding me available room to check in early.

the lift is very slow! Italian style. the plumbing is not great! Italian style. the single rooms are tiny. but that's not so bad.

Bed could be more comfortable. Our room was very small but I read this before in the reviews and so knew about this in advance and accepted it, so nothing to complain.

Location of the hotel is very good, a few minutes walk from the train and bus station, also you can easily reach on foot all tourist attractions. The room was very clean, cosy, there was everything you need for a short stay: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryer etc. Breakfast in the terrace was good, a lot of pastries, cheese, meat, sceambled eggs..

Sound isolation could be better, because at night I heard somebody snoring in the next room, also in the morning it was a bit noisy when they started preparing breakfast in the terrace (I had a room on the 5 floor) and also a bad smell came to the room (as something was burning).

The location was amazing. Close to the train station and all the main sites in Rome. We walked pretty much everywhere we needed to go. The room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us advice on where to go and what to book and even offered to book tours for us.
