Hotel Casa Mia

The room was pretty good - sizeable, and most important of all in June, the air conditioning was working and it was effective. The headboard had seen better days, but the bed was comfortable and we were able to arrange an extra pillow for my husband who has to sleep fairly upright. The room had it’s own bathroom and a generously sized shower that was easy to get in and out of. I don’t know if it was deliberate, but there was an adapter in the room, to allow you to plug in your own appliances into Italian plug sockets - nice touch. There was a lift, so taking luggage up to the first floor was a cinch. The wifi was very good. The breakfast was excellent, as were the staff.

There’s nothing I didn’t like but the area was a little less gentrified than I expected. Walking around in thin rubber sandals, we had to be really careful about where we stepped, as there was broken glass on many of the sidewalks.

The location was fantastic! it was in the heart of Trastevere with wonderful restaurants surrounding it. I loved the welcome we received from the hotel staff, who were more than happy to help us arrange taxis, etc. The breakfast was delicious and filling (coffee, croissant, yogurt, cereal, bread, scrambled eggs with or without cheese)

In the shower, sometimes the hot water didn’t get very hot. Sometimes you can hear noise from the restaurant patrons below at night. And the beds were on the hard/firm side for those who prefer a softer bed, but that is a matter of preference.

Everyone was very friendly. They made us feel like we were a part of their family. The lady who checked us out was so kind. She made us something special since we missed breakfast and she knew it was our honeymoon. She gave us a kind blessing by wishing us a beautiful life together. She was also the one who greeted us with a bottle of champagne and said “congratulations”. We will always remember how kind she was. Also the food at the restaurant was amazing and all the staff were so friendly and kind and happy to share what they had to offer! Would love to go back. Also the breakfast that we didn’t miss the first morning was really good and had the personal touch. It was nice eating breakfast in the courtyard with some good espresso.

The room was very clean. The service was amazing. Orange juice, coffee, pastries and a selection of meats & cheese was offered every morning for the breakfast options. The language barrier wasn't so bad. Location wise was perfect for our stay.

The shower allows water to leak from the glass door. The hotel itself is a restaurant also, so it didn't seem so inviting when checking in intially for the hotel portion. We ended up wanting to extend our stay a couple more days and tried to do so downstairs in the check in. But everything must be done on booking.com. Which seemed a tad incovinent but nothing too major.

Great breakfast. Clean room and bathroom. Giovanni is an extremely efficient, professional, friendly person. He offered to drive us to the airport early morning and didn’t charge too much. Excellent food in the restaurant.

No hot water in the bidet or the sink.

Thank you very much for your kind help, otherwise I would certainly miss the plane. I left in a hurry this morning and left my important wallet behind when I checked out. On the way to the airport the landlord called. She didn't speak English, so she called us and waited patiently for us to translate. That's when I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. However, all I had in my wallet was my student ID and BRP, so I thought I didn't need them for boarding and asked the landlord to mail them. The landlord also readily agreed. However, I was pulled over for not having a BRP. It's only an hour before the plane takes off. Anxious, I called the landlord and explained the situation in Italian through the staff, asking the landlord to send a car. Half an hour later, the driver delivered the wallet in time. And everything inside is intact. It was a very thrilling experience, thanks to the kindness and patience of the landlord from beginning to end. I really appreciate her. Sometimes language barriers don't separate people. Indifference is. The hospitality of the landlord made me fully feel the hospitality and friendliness of Italian people. “We don't judge people in Roma.”

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was in a beautiful location right in Trastevere. We were close to a bunch of authentic restaurants. We loved exploring the charming streets around this hotel. The rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. The beds were soft and we easily slept two with both of us having a good amount of room. The bathroom was a good size with great shower water pressure (rare in Italy!) Overall, a beautiful, clean, and perfect hotel for a trip to Rome.

Outside in the streets we heard deliveries to the restaurants early in the morning. If you close your window, you will be ok and hear little noise

Despite having a language barrier with a couple of the woman staff, they were absolutely lovely and helpful. The place was very clean, modern and well up kept. The restaurant downstairs was good value and quality for money. Very warm, inviting environment. Location was exceptional, right in the heart of the Trastevere. Felt very safe as a solo female

This hotel room was huge. It was located right in the heart of the Trastevere which has only amazing Italian and is a very local area. There’s fun nightlife and the river with all the tents of restaurants and games is walking distance. You could also walk to most tourist attractions like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Trevi fountain in 30 min. The breakfast was also phenomenal. It was all very homemade and coffee made to order.

The place was authentic and beautiful. The room was comfortable, the staff was extremely friendly and the food at the restaurant was AMAZING!! We loved every second. From breakfast every morning where we had fresh bread and cappuccinos to homemade pasta and wine every night... we will be back!

There wasn't much to dislike. The language barrier was a little tricky but they never gave up understanding and we never wanted or needed for anything.
