Monte Cenci Hotel

The hotel is in an amazing location in the Jewish Ghetto, close to restaurants and walking distance to historical sites and the heart of Rome. The bed was comfortable and the showers was great. They were very accommodating to our religious needs!

The lights in our room weren’t working. We were told that someone would come to fix it, but that never happened. We ordered a special extra breakfast - there was a miscommunication and we only got it on our last morning.

Received a recommendation from a friend about this property and literally texted her during our trip to tell her how appreciative we were. My husband and I came for our honeymoon and were greeted with a friendly staff and flowers and chocolates in the room. The roof deck provided beautiful views of a beautiful city and Paolo (GM) even sent Champagne on New Years Eve to ring in 2023. Very warm staff, very clean and beautiful rooms. Many happy memories came from our Rome experience and grateful Hotel Monte Cenci was a part of it!

The stay was phenomenal. Pablo and the staff on night 1 organised some pasta, even though seemingly all had closed. They had us covered with recommendations for the following days. They remembered my birthday and wrote me a card. Can't recommend this place enough!

The room could've been a bit bigger. Overall it was fine.

The bed was firm which was not my typical preference. But everything else was 5 stars for sure!

The staff really make this hotel, friendly and welcoming. The location is super, walking distance to main attractions and great bars / restaurants nearby. There's also a cute bar and roof terrace. Would recommend.

A couple of minor areas for improvement. The air con is a little noisy, not sure if this was just our room or a general problem. It wasn't too warm so we mainly had it switched off. During COVID there is also not a breakfast buffet, it is served which takes a little from the experience. Both small pieces, would definitely stay again.

Brilliantly presented, clean and modern, in a fantastic area of Rome! Jewish ghetto by the doorstep with excellent food, close to all the attractions but still in a calm area, great food and just across the bridge from trastevere. Staff were amazing - all so kind and lovely. Paulo, hotel owner, really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He clearly loves the city, he gave us brilliant recommendations for gelato and things to do in Rome and also reserved us places for dinner at an excellent restaurant!

The room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was tasty. All of the employees were very helpful. We loved being able to store our luggage until check in and that they helped order a taxi to get to the airport.

This was my first holiday with my 4 year old. I was surprised to see such friendly staff. Everyone greeted smiled and played it my little one. He was having a blast. They taught him how say hello in Italian as well. The location is great, close to all attractions. The bus and metro stops are just few steps away. The hotel is clean, good bathrooms and my room was cleaned every single day. Due to covid they don’t have buffet, but we got everything we asked for one day in advance. The highlight of this hotel for me was Shary. She was the one who helped me from day 1 of booking. She told me where all to go, how to go and what to eat! It was amazing. She also called and found out covid testing places for me so that I can have the results in just 20 mins. It was just so stress free and she was sooo kind. I really wished to have a pic with her but I missed! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and memorable.

The reception is one floor up, we need to carry our stuff without an elevator. But I think this is common in all parts of Europe.

Very good location. 5-10min walk to Piazza Navona and Colesseum. Bus stop next door to Vatican, Train Station and others. Minimarket next door. Wonderful staff, good bar and recently renewed.
