Grand Hotel San Pietro Relais & Chateaux

The hotel has a great location over looking the sea,the staff were very nice, rooms were lovely but i would expect this any way at the price they are charging.The have a shuttle service to the town which is very good.

The only thing i did not like was when at breakfast i asked for some fresh pineapple and the lady who was seeing was very rude and told me to have what was left in the fruit container.I would expect a 5 star hotel to keep replenishing all the food on the breakfast service.I did not want to complain because i wanted to enjoy my holiday.But any way if the manager asked her or his breakfast staff the lady concerned will know what i mean its a shame but its true. Thank you.

The location was good and hotel was nice with breathtaking views, even though some parts were a little outdated. Front desk staff was great and helpful

Breakfast staff was slow and inattentive. Took 30 minutes just to get coffee! Breakfast selection was just ok

While breakfast was noted to be included you had to pay for cooked eggs, if you wanted that. While I would be willing to accept that we were also charged for my husbands Coke Zero. That seems unreasonable for a 5 star property and I have never been anywhere in the world where a Coca Cola was charged when breakfast was included. I think the bathrooms also need to be updated. The tubs are very difficult to get into and the glass doors don’t help to keep the water from getting on the floor. So after each shower our bathroom floor was always soaked. It made it very unpleasant to shower. Our water also was momentarily “blocked” however staff worked on the problem immediately.

Breakfast buffet was incredible and the staff were so accomodating and friendly. Rooms were clean and in good condition, we had an ocean view room which was beautiful. The shuttle to and from Town centre was super helpful as we have a small child.

The pool was incredible but definitely needed a clean by the end of our stay. We kept on finding hairballs in the pool which wasn’t the best. The service at the pool bar was also rather slow but not an issue.

The failure of management to provide simple information in the Hotel Room like the telephone numbers of Reception, Room Service. The failure of the room air conditioning control requiring the occupant to call Reception to turn on and off the air conditioning. The response by management that they could not leave any instructions in the room on paper because of Covid was totally inadequate. There were several promotions for hotel services printed on paper in the room. The management was clearly using Covid to avoid their providing of information and services.

The staff were exceptional -they were so responsive, friendly and professional and made every effort to make it a memorable and happy time for all. The Hotel was beautifully located, overlooking the Ionian Sea - with fantastic views from the room’s balconies, Dining patio and the pool area. The breakfast buffet choices were extensive and varied from Continental to traditional English style. The barista and the wait staff ferried quality coffees to tables with great speed - which was particularly appreciated by someone who enjoys 3 espressos in quick succession in the morning. Special call out to the maître d, all the wait and bar staff, the pool attendant, concierge staff (including transport driver) and housekeeping. Every single staff member contributed to the happiest of holidays. congratulations and well done. You did more than you could ever be paid for. Jeanette Playford and Family.

there was nothing we didn’t like about the property. If I have anything negative to say at all, it would be that the decor in the lounge, bar, reception and internal dining areas. They are now dated and need a revamp to bring it up to date. Having said that, San Pietro’s need of a designer - did not impact on our enjoyment.

Deluxe property with exceptional staff! The hotel is elegant and the rooms are very well appointed, all while fully maintaining the old world charm. The food is marvelous and the pool is lovely, all of which are further enhanced by the incomparable views!! Walking distance to everything but the beach, but there is an arrangement to whisk you there and back whenever you like. Enjoy!

Great amenities and we loved the full sized potions, except there was no conditioner for my hair—a critical problem!

This is an amazing hotel to stay in Taormina. The views are great. Our room, the breakfast terrace, the pool and the gym overlooked the sea. The room is reasonably generous and the balcony is just fantastic. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The pool is big enough, even for some lap swimming. It's about a 10 - 15 min walk to the main drag of Taormina. Staff is great. Spa services were awesome!

Not much. The bathroom could use a bit of maintenance and the spa is a bit short staffed and difficult to get appointments. If you're not that mobile it is better to stay closer to "downtown", even if there is a shuttle.

Beautiful location with a breathtaking view. Delicious breakfast while overlooking the sea. Parking available and for free.

Some areas of the room could be cleaner, especially air conditioning looked disgusting. Expect proper maintenance for a 5 star hotel. Quality of dinner varied from not fully cooked noodles to delicious desserts. Would expect constant high quality from 5 star hotel.
