Hotel Isola Bella

Location! Breathtaking views, right on the front near the sea and directly opposite Isola Bella. 5 minutes walk to the cable car to go up to the town or you could tackle the Everest expedition types stairs up to the town! (I nearly died coming down them with my rucksack but I am fat and unfit!) Front desk staff very helpful and welcoming. Hotel was spotlessly clean and really comfy beds and effective air-conditioning which you will especially appreciate if you walk up or down the steps to your. There's a courtesy bus to the Copacabana Lido which is only €14, (other sunbed/lido places were a lot more expensive ) and was lovely. You book it at the front desk of the hotel and then when you want to come back you ask the lido people to ring the hotel. Breakfast is the usual continental stuff, delicious cornetti, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit.

There's nothing I didn't like but would like to warn people if you book a single room don't be bigger than a hobbit as the bathroom is miniscule! There's no room to turn in the shower so it's hard to rinse. Amazing view from the toilet though, if you leave the bathroom door open!

We love everything about this hotel! The location, the views, the pool, the breakfast, but most importantly, the staff, especially Francesco! Francesco and his colleagues make your stay very special. I have never met more helpful or friendlier hotel staff! This has been my 4th stay in this hotel and as I write I am planning another. On each of our visits we have always looked forward to seeing the big welcoming smile on Francesco's face and we have never been disappointed. The view from the hotel rooms is magical. In fact you can be forgiven for not wanting to leave the balcony. You could sit and gaze forever at the little island and surrounding sea scape. Taormina is a stunning town, ten minutes away, bustling with people, just like me, who wish to see it's ancient sites and experience the delicious local Sicilian foods. But when the sun sets in Taormina there is nowhere like Hotel Isola Bella to come back to and have a nightcap in. My favourite Hotel ever!

Some people might complain about old furniture. Old furniture means nothing when you are privileged to experience the views and charm and hospitality from Hotel Isola Bella. I would happily sit on a cardboard box to stay in this beautiful hotel.

The view, the view and such a lovely personal, staff was so nice and lovely , they were as friendly as family member. The breakfast fresh with fresh orange juice in a terras with paradise view. And directly beside the busstation to airport which was a bless for me.

Room was very tiny bathroom very small and old stuff.

The location is awesome, the staff was so helpful, breakfast was not bad, suggest air-conditioned need change it's louder and the bed we love soft bed.

The location was face to the Isola Bella beach, staff were helpful, I can recommend.

Everything was in the apartment and It looked clean. Nice little balcony for yourself with an amazing view over the ocean and Isola Bella. A busstop right in front of the hotel that takes you to the station. The check in was great. The worker told me how to get into the town of Taormina, explained very well where I could find the centre and was very polite.

The bathroom is a little bit small, you can't really turn around in the shower, but at least you had your own and there was one. The bed was a one person bed, because of course I was on my own. Unfortunately it was quite small and I did hit the wall and nightstand a few times🥴

location swimmimg pool (even we could use it in apríl, was quite cold outside staff was friendly and helpful very good breakfast (salami, ham, cheese, mozarella, jogurts, fresh croissants, etc)

old fashioned equipment of room/bathroom, What would not be bad, if everything was in good shape. especially the shower head was too low and jeting everywhere. missing bigger cabinet (even there were enough space for that in the room).

Wat a great hotel overlooking Isola bella island. 10 minutes walk from the cable car which took us up to the town in Taormina. Great location. The hotell is a little dated but perfectly clean and well kept, so we wer quite happy. Breakfast was lovely which had varied coice of continental and cooked breakfast. Plenty to eat and drink, great coffee machine too. the staff were friendly and accommodating. the added bonus was the rooftop terrace and heated swimming pool, which we were not expecting. We paid extra for a seaview room which was well worth the money. would definitel recommend this traditional hotel. Also had automated shutters to keep the sun out.

nothing to dislike about the hotel and area, only slight quibble was that the airconditioning, could have been more cooler, but it was extremely quiet so not a huge issue for us.

The staff were very helpful when we needed them even though they couldn’t always help us resolve the issues we were having that is not related to the hotel. It’s was located right heart everything and close to the beach.

Air con was loud but did its jobs since it was really hot when we were there. Hotel is a bit run down and could use some upgrades but overall it was pleasant

Fantastic view. We had a room with its own roof terrace overlooking the sea and swimming pool..The location was a bit challenging because there were 135 steps to reach the sea. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful. The waiters could not be more helpful. lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Receptionists also were very informative. A lovely place to stay.

A little bit more power in the shower. Just a small detail. We certainly would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Isola Bella. The manager Francesco was exceptional and I could not thank him enough for all the help and advice he gave us. The morning breakfast was very good: lots of fruit, cereals, yogurt, hot food and cold cuts were available each day. The breakfast staff were more than helpful and were able to meet individual requests. All in all avery relaxed stay in a super location.

The Hotel Isola Bella is getting a little old and its age is beginning to show. I fear that the renoveration costs will be expensive if remedial action is not taken soonest.
