Hotel dalla Mora

The location of the hotel is very good to reach the public transport but maybe not the closest from main attractions ( either way, it takes around 15-30min walking to reach anywhere) which was definitely not a problem for us. Nice restaurants around and not that touristic which means less expensive and quieter. The area is lovely as it's the hotel! We got a nice room with canal view, very spacious and super well cleaned. The entire hotel smells as clean including the bathroom which is shared between 4 rooms. The breakfast was very simple, not many options but still very italian way.

It's very noisy if people staying in the other rooms don't think about others, it was after 23.30 that people decide to take showers and walk in the corridor, mainly slamming the door which was very annoying. The walls were not built to avoid noises.

We loved staying at this place! The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice view of the canal from our room. There is also a cute terrace that also overlooks the canal open from 10am-8pm. The shower water was hot, and they cleaned our rooms daily. Breakfast was simple but delicious and staff is very helpful! They let us keep our things in the hotel even after we checked out. Pretty location with many restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance!

20 minute walk to main tourist attractions but can always take the water taxi.

For value for money you can't get any better Hotel dalla Mora. The service is lovely, feels very family run. The buffet breakfast is filling. The shared balcony patio is a perfect spot to watch gondolas float by and lastly, the location is within very easy walking distance from the bus station (including the airport bus). It might not be a close to the St Mark's Sq, but that's a good thing as there are few tourists and this district of Venice is alot more relaxed

The WiFi was a little patchy at times. Not an issue for us, but some people might not want to share a toilet.

Hotel dalla Mora is a 10 minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station or 7 minutes from the bus station and vaporetto stops at Piazza le Roma which is really convenient for getting to/from Venice plus any trips to Murano, Burano, Lido, etc,. It's also a little off the main tourist routes therefore a little quieter. To get to San Marco/Rialto bridge is 15-20 minutes walking with plenty of sights to see on the way. I initially had a single room with en suite bathroom and a view of the terrace. This room was compact but had everything I needed and was very clean and comfortable. I then moved to a twin room (a friend joined me) with shower and shared bathroom on that floor. There was another shared bathroom on the floor below. The shared bathrooms were clean and well kept. Breakfast was included in my booking, warmed rolls and croissants, plenty of condiments, cereal, boiled eggs - I believe another visitor ordered poached eggs, fruit juice and coffee, a great set up for the day. The staff were awesome, very welcoming and helpful, I loved my stay at the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

The location was 5 minutes walk from the main bus station, 5 minutes to San Toma valporetti stop, 15-20 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge. Restaurants close by. The room and shared bathroom were clean, and overlooked a canal (quiet at night).. Breakfast: bread, eggs, jams, soft cheese was a good start to the day.

The terrace was only accessible between 10am-8pm & was on the 1st floor of the main hotel. My room was on the 1st floor of the building opposite the hotel.

Great location, short walk from the bus station. Check in staff were very nice and room was even ready early. We had a room on the upper floor that was simple and perfect. Canal view out one window, which was awesome! Bed was comfortable and air conditioner worked great. Bathroom was small but adequate and everything was very clean. Wifi wasn’t super fast but was able to use it for text and email. Breakfast was different breads, jams, and cheese. I saw some eggs and what looked like American coffee. It was very hot in the breakfast room so we didn’t stay in there long. There was a cute little covered patio on the second level that we didn’t take advantage of. Would definitely stay there again!

the location was perfect! just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city landmarks. very close to eating establishments- both cheap and expensive! I loved the authentic interior- yes its old but this adds to the character of the hotel. The breakfast is more than sufficient to start your day- the filtered coffee went down well, as did the small freshly baked croissants and mini bread rolls. It is not a full continental but that was a blessing as I then went for a small walk and able to try the local patisseries etc in the morning sun. I should add that the room was air conditioned and that in itself was a bonus!

I wouldn't say I disliked anything as the hotel and room were more than suffice to meet my needs. My only comment was that my room was overlooking the seated balcony so didn't have any privacy if I was to open the window and blinds. But to be fair I hardly spent any time in the room and so it wasn't a big deal for me!

Absolutely loved it ❤️ it states on booking it's a 1 star and I don't know how they do the ratings but the hotel and staff are definitely fantastic ,it's very clean and comfortable the location is brilliant literally a five minute walk from the main bus station,we had a shower in our room but had to share a loo but this never bothered us one bit because it was kept spotless at all times I would highly recommend dalla mora for a stay in Venice you won't be disappointed and the continental breakfast will set you up great for a day's walking

Not something to complain about really but the room was roasting hot but sorted by just turning radiator off 🤣

So close to the train station which is really convenient. Room was bright and spacious. View over the canal was cool! Breakfast included boiled eggs, rolls, crackers, croissants, cereals, coffee. Did the job! No AC in our room but the fan was fine and having the windows open (it was super hot when we were there and still fine with no AC). Mosquitoes not a problem even with no fly screens. Shared bathroom was clean. Overall exceeded my expectations!

The canal view was cool but actually a bit noisy in the morning when the garbage boats come. Breakfast was good but could have included fresh fruit.

The room was cosy and quiet, clean and warm, all of the lights are working properly, there was a nice shower tub and a sink in the room. We liked the breakfast, it's simple but fresh, a good preparation for the marathon of pizza, pasta and tiramisu. The neighbourhood is quiet, you can find some restaurants and bars there and it is also close by to the train station which is a big plus if you are in a hurry for the train.

Shared toilet is not a very comfortable option, I would not recommend it. Also there is no elevator so you have to climb the narrow stairs if you are staying on the upper floors. You need to walk about 25-30 minutes to the city center and there are only 2 bridges on the way to the center so you have to choose your way properly as the narrow streets are dark in the evening.
