The staff was really the best part of our stay. They were quite patient with us and our requests. They helped us to organize a birding trip into the biosphere reserve that was just terrific! The location is good...about 10 minute walk to central plaza. They gave us very good advice on dining options, as well as things to see and do in the city.

We ended up ordering breakfast every AM. Only the continental breakfast is included in the room price. This was a bit of a surprise to me, but not much of a problem as prices for more hearty breakfasts were reasonable. Also, the neighbors behind Casa de Zari have a dog that barks too much...not the fault of Casa de Zari, but a bit of an annoyance.

The two exceptional things were the people - those who work there and the family that owns it - and the amazing breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them for a week - they are all kind, generous, helpful and interesting. Meeting other travelers at breakfast was a bonus. For breakfast we had poached eggs (technique they learned at a French cooking school); pancakes made with organic oat flour; and (among other things) incredible breakfast quesadillas you won’t find anywhere else. Although it’s a somewhat boring walk to centro, it turns out that the best restaurant in town is just a 2-minutes walk in the other direction. Our room was very comfortable. If we returned to beautiful Campeche we would stay here again.

Very impersonal: it’s like a airbnb where there is in the morning somebody making you breakfast. No drinks or coffee: this place lacks some hotel facilities. They have no honesty bar or coffeemachine, which makes it a bit weird in the evenings: you come back after dinner and you have no possibility to have a drink or so (while they have a very nice garden, patio!) Location is 500 m too far from the Center.

This is one of those places that charm you and make you wish that you could stay longer. Everything is done with so much attention to details, good taste, and love. My room was in the garden at the first level, right above the whirlpool – it was small but so well appointed, washed by natural light, views of the garden, neighborhood roofs and gardens, mango trees, with super comfortable bed and supplied with everything that one might need. Breakfast was delicious and coffee was super-delicious. The dining room and the rest of the house is worth your time. While the B&B location is outside of the strict center, the walk to the center is about 10 minutes and you go through nice and interesting neighborhoods. Campeche is a small city, slow and somewhat sleepy and this is how it is meant to be enjoyed. The parking can be arranged, but also there is enough street parking next to the B&B

we had a great one night stay at casa de Zari, we were contacted via WhatsApp before and Sofia sent us information on Campeche and restaurant recommendations, which we took and had a great dinner in town:-) we had the queen room, very comfy double bed, AC, shower and toilet separate, a bottle of water was provided in the room and anti mosquito plug, though we did not need it. the queen room is on ground level. Casa de Zari offers breakfast as well, 4 different options, please do try it, it is excellent! i loved especially the freshly made Habanero Sauce!:-) they are super friendly and helpful, thank you ladies! @parking: if you have a car you can park right outside on the street-be careful to not park in the handicapped spaces, though.

We loved staying here! The place was comfortable, it had a very cozy feel and was well maintained and clean. Our host Samiya was super friendly and went out of her way to help us with a personal issue. We definitely recommend this place!

We read that it could get quite loud in the centre of town so that’s why we picked this place. But seeing as we do everything by foot and public transport, it did mean we always had to walk out that extra km to get home. So choose what’s most important for you. There was just really one thing that we didn’t like and that was having the toilet in the room without ceiling-high walls and a proper door.

The place was a beautiful traditional casa in Campeche, our room was a bit of a funky space, but overall we enjoyed it, especially because it stayed cool and had A/C. There was a sweet outdoor patio and stairs that led up to views overlooking the city. Maria the host was very nice and helpful! The included continental breakfast was a treat, with more options you can pay for. Walkable around the historic district and parking was included which was a real bonus.

The only downside of our room was that it was right off the main dining area so the mornings were a bit loud.

What a cool building! Breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room steps from the rooms. The staff was so friendly and worked with our limited Spanish. There is even a tiny gift shop we bought presents from for our friends. We’re definitely coming back.

Hot water can be a bit spotty, but that’s normal for a lot of Mexico.

Exceptionally nice proprietors. 10 minutes walk from the centre and more in the other direction also walkable. Lovely breakfast. Lovely room. Nice dipping pool. Nice, safe neighbourhood.

Nothing that I can recall but had done a review at the time only for the b.com upload to fail by way of inserting a survey request at final submission so this is from memory. Very frustrating as have had to re-do loads of these. Do get clear directions though as while not hard to find taxis may struggle slightly.

I liked our room. We had everything we wanted and even more. There was also a cute patio to sit and relax. Breakfest was tasty. The owner and the cooking lady were both very friendly and nice to us. We had our privacy, but if we wanted some advice, the owner was willing to help and give us some recommendations. I would stay in this beautiful casa de Zari again and I can only recommend to anyone visiting this pritty town and also heading to Edzna archeological site.
