Gamma Campeche Malecon

Nice pool. Small but functional gym. Location at the Malecon and in 2 minutes walking distance to the historic center. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

All rooms with 'city view' also look out on the back of the hotel with trash etc. and with a lot of noise from the airco for the entire hotel. The room does not close properly, so even with the with closed windows you could hear the constant humming of the airco outside. The airco inside the room is very old and very noisy. The safe in the room works with a key rather than a code so that is less convenient and less safe (since you could lose the key or it could be stolen). Charging drinks etc. to the room is a bit bureaucratic.

The view from the balcony was fantastic, across the Campeche sign and the water, a great spot for sunsets. The pool was large, clean and refreshing, and the cocktails at the bar during happy hour were also excellent. The main gate to the walled city is just behind the hotel which makes it one of the best locations in town.

Due to people attending functions every night at the hotel meant there was no parking in the main carpark and we had to park around the back each night. We also had an issue with a broken aircon in our room which took a few complaints before a resolution was offered. We were eventually offered another room which was much better.

The location was really good. The Hotel is located between the beach and the historic district. There's a pool but I did not have time to take a dip.

The taxes added to the cost of the hotel. The cost of the hotel was okay but the taxes were excessive. Booking.com should include the cost of taxes in the cost. When we were getting ready for bed, we discovered the bathroom sink was clogged - water would not go down the drain. We called room service, but after waiting for 20 minutes, we gave up and went to bed - using the shower to wash our faces and brush our teeth.

Excellent location! Beautiful facilities. Nice and attentive staff. Elegant lobby and bar decor. The restaurant food was good. We ordered sandwiches to go in the morning to take to Edzna. The service was slow, but that is because they were setting up the breakfast buffet, which looked good. The room was big, the shower and toilet pressure were good, the lobby was beautiful, my room overlooked the angel and malecon. The beds were softer than the usual hard beds in Mexico. Large balcony. The A/C and Wi-Fi worked well. Fast check in and check out.

The hallway rugs were a little dingy. The walls were thin. No mini fridge or microwave.

Excellent location, 3 minute walk from city center. Great staff, always willing to help and great pool area. The room was very comfortable.

There was a happy hour in the bar but we had no idea it existed. I think they should place bigger announcement for this type of information. Also, the price booking gave me in the app was not the one I was charged, it varied in approx. 15 dlls (MX$300). I think this is a problem with booking, not with the hotel.

The situation of the hotel. right next to the Malecón (the promenade at the coast) and ca. 200 meters from the old sea gate into the old city. you cannot find a better situated hotel unless you want to live in the old city.

If the hotel wanted to improve something that means a lot to people, it would be to have a good coffee. I avoided the coffee in the morning, as it was bitter and a bit burnt. it is such a small thing and not that expensive to improve a stay at the hotel.

Best location in Campeche. Right at the Malecon, and right beside the walled Centro. In fact, right at the foot of Calle 59 where all the restaurants are inside the Centro. Nice pool. Decent sized rooms. Our balcony had a sea view. We’d stay here again

Our Room 225 smelled like mildew, we think coming from the air conditioning. We neared through it. Room 225 Needs some paint, must clean that AC unit. No fridge in room, but they had lots of ice on every floor.

This hotel is in the absolute perfect location between the main stretch of the boardwalk and the pedestrian street gate of the old walled city. Parks, restaurants, & shops within walking distance with Oxxo around the corner. Great view. Staff was very nice and professional. Clean & cozy, great water pressure. Kids loved the pool. Would stay here again without hesitation if we ever make it back to Campeche.

Only thing that could have made it better would be mini fridges in the rooms, but there is room service :)

The location is perfect, the rooms are updated and clean. The staff are courteous and very friendly.

One of the elevators broke during our stay and it didn’t get fixed so we had to use the stairs a lot. It got tiresome when our key got deactivated and it we had to go up and down about three times because it was failing to unlock the room.

The location of the hotel was great! The rooms were bigger than we had expected. The view was of the back of the hotel but you could still enjoy the historic district at night. They had free parking which was what we were also looking for.

The cost of breakfast was pricey, especially when you don't want buffet style. A la carte was similar cost to buffet.
