Hotel Villas Ajijic, Ajijic Chapala Jalisco

This hotel was a nice surprise! The building looks like a converted apartment complex on beautifully maintained gardens giving their guest the feeling they are in an apartment and not a hotel. The property is on the lake and there is a covered terrace with tables, chairs and a BBQ should one want to have a private party. The location is super quite making it very easy to sleep and only 1 kilometer from the city center so a vehicle unnecessary.

The shower. The shower head was clogged from calcium deposits, I cleaned that easily enough but the real disappointment was the supply of hot water! If your showers are more than about 7 minutes the water will turn cold :( If you are a couple staying here and expecting to take showers prior to an evening out well...thats not going to happen comfortably :(

Staff was friendly, fairly easy to find, coffee shop couple or 3 blocks...

No chaise lounges or pool chairs !!!

wifi was constantly dropping. I need consistent wifi and while it wasnt fast according to speed test, it kept dropping zoom. YouTube videos were buffering. it was very frustrating.

The view of the lake is stunning and the hotel grounds are beautiful! The staff is very friendly and the daily breakfast was very good! The property is very clean and the pool is very warm.

The standard room is very small and quite run down. The superior room is much nicer.

Bathroom had a bad smell at night don't know if it was because of drain on floor. Front door to room could have used a door sweep to prevent bugs or small critters to enter the room. Could have used seating for two person. Just one chair in the room. Breakfast was good but limited in terms of menu.

We absolutely loved the properties location. The staff was wonderful. We had rooms 13 & 14. They were so clean and very cozy. We stayed 2 nights for R&R and it delivered just what we were looking for. I definitely book again. Heck I want to live there.

Good WiFi and shower. Quiet location and place. Attractive environment. Comfortable room with balcony with views. I didn’t use them but pools and lakeside lawn looked good, note no one swims anywhere in the lake. Breakfast ok.

Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. Breakfast not till 9am. Note it’s a walk to the centre, I don’t mind that, others might. Some difficulty getting a taxi when leaving, took nearly an hour.

Delicious Authentic Chilequilles and (Mexican style) scrambled eggs with tortillas every day ; ) Lakeside patio and view of Birds and fishermen was exceptional!

Everything was Great value for the price

Courteous staff, especially the housekeepers, clean grounds, excellent breakfast and sitting right on the water. How relaxing can you get?

Would have been nice to have a couple of tv channels in english.

Clean , comfortable. Patio with table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Pool and grounds were well maintained. Breakfast was included with stay.
