Very friendly, we were budget conscience. We wanted a comfortable safe clean place to sleep and use as a base. This location was just the right hotel for us. It's not an upscale hotel or location, very down to earth where the locals work and live, eat and drink. Tourist friendly for sure. The location is near enough to everything a tourist would hope for on a visit to the area. We would book it again. Extremely accommodating!

The location was in the heart of town, at times it was louder than we wanted, eventually it settled down. Not a huge issue for being in the middle of town.

Great location, fantastic price. Staff was responsive when we had a sewer gas odor in our bathroom. They fixed it the same day.

There was a lot of street noise, the towels were well worn, and the wifi didn't work outside the lobby. Thanks to the other reviews, we knew this before arrival though, so we planned accordingly. We took a white noise machine to help drown out street noise for sleeping. We took our own towels, and we downloaded everything that we needed on our phones before we left the U.S. It all worked out!

We read the bad reviews on the internet after booking. So we went with fear and low expectation. We arrived tired by night bus from Puebla to Oaxaca. Although we arrived at the hotel at 8:00 in the morning, the helpful friends at the reception said that the room was ready. It was a great gesture for us. As written in the comments, the hotel is old, not like in the pictures, but very clean. The room is cleaned every day. Towels, toiletries, coffee are replenished. There is a damp smell in the hotel, but it is not bothersome. Tap water is not drinkable in Mexico and there was always free drinking water in the hotel. The location of the hotel is really good. Even though the market is right in the center of the eateries and street vendors, it is extremely quiet at night.

The location was the best. The beds, linens and closet space, lots of drawers to unpack luggage, table and coffee maker. The staff was wonderful.

Hot water comes out after 5 min of running the shower. It will come. The wifi in the common areas outside of the rooms is good but some might think inconvenient. Once you step outside its strong, there are tables & chairs in the terrace.

The location is perfect; walking distance from the main markets and the centre. The size of the room; we had a king and a queen and the room was still massive!

Linens; towels were frayed and even had wholes! The Internet was awful in the room - you had to get to the open air courtyard on the second floor to get decent reception. Because it was an open air area, it was cold in the morning and at night (you needed a jacquet).

The room was very clean and the workers were super friendly and welcoming. We asked them to extend our stay 1 night and they took care of changing our stuff from 1 to another room. There was a water dispenser for free and many food options around. The hotel also had tours organized to Monte Albán and other activities.

There was a construction in front so it was quite loud but not the hotels fault.

Great location, it was easy to get to and from all the action. Very clean and well kept property. Great option for the price. Make sure you book in advance as it is a popular spot.

The beds were extremely hard. At night there was a lot of noise on the street from the vendors packing up/setting up. In the room they provide several WiFi codes, none of them work in the room and I had to go sit in reception to send messages.

the staff were very prompt and helpful! we asked for a taxi to pick us up for departure to airport. The receptionist came to our room and told us the taxi was waiting for us. cheapest way to go too airport 5:00am

pillows could be replaced. the beds are very hard in room we slept in.

Excellent location, right in the centre. Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff.

The internet in the rooms was faulty, but the one downstairs in the lobby worked. So had to be downstairs to be connected to WiFi. Other than that, all was great.
