La Noria Centro Histórico

Excellent central location…absolutely gorgeous architecture…beautifully appointed and lovely art. But hands down the staff was truly incredible! They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! I’m so disappointed that I don’t remember our main front desk persons name but he was so kind and greeted us so kindly and helped us with everything we could possibly need. Elio their main taxi driver and his staff are true gems! Every single person on the cleaning staff was so nice. We didn’t have a safe but never had to worry about that because they are honest and caring people…something you just don’t find in a lot of airbnbs….definitely stay here, you won’t regret it!

Everything was wonderful!

The location couldn't be better, as it's just a few steps from the main square. The breakfast and coffee shop were delightful. The staff treated us incredibly well. The pool is very warm and inviting. When we stayed, they were doing some construction around our original room and I was not feeling well one of the days and needed to rest - they were able to switch rooms to a quieter one due to the construction. Great service and staff.

The two rooms we had didn't have much natural light, and the breakfast + coffee wasn't included in the room price. But those were not major issues for us.

This property is beautiful. The art and structure are both stunning. The pool area is a lovely plus in the city, you can order at poolside too or enjoy the restaurant inside. Attached to the building is a great coffee bar/evening bar. The location is fab. it is right before the pedestrian area of the city, it comes with parking (availability is first come first serve so not enough for every room, we were lucky both days) and is a short walk from the main square. The staff were so generous and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our only downside was that we couldn’t open a window. We had a window to the outer side, some were inside windows which could be opened we saw. Our room didn’t really get the ideal ventilation and became muggy very quickly. It was the only downside.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They have a restaurant and I like their fruit plate, juices and the coffee place they have. The location was within walking distance to centro histórico, zocalo,main streets, mercados ,many landmarks and restaurants. Our room was very clean and Mrs.Edith kept out room immaculate all week. She was also very cute and detailed with the towel designs.

The only thing I was not pleased with was that I requested a suite away from noise. We were given suite 109 which was on the first floor and we could hear the street noise/traffic starting at 6 am. I asked for a comparable room on another floor and away from noise and they said they could not. I would have given them a 10 otherwise.

Excellent central location being directly in the middle of everything. Staff generally very helpful when needed. I generally liked the decorative art scattered about. Rooftop terrace was pretty relaxing when it wasn't too windy. Price was higher than many surrounding hotels but still seemed reasonable for Noche de Rabanos.

The internal room we were in has quite bad noise insulation. We were woken up multiple times by people rolling their luggage on the hard floors of the hall outside, and could clearly hear noise from the neighboring room through the wall.

The hotel is older but well-appointed, it's in a fantastic location and has a small pool. Best of all the beds are firm and very comfortable.

I spent the first three nights in a corridor room with no natural light. I got sick the morning after I arrived here from another hotel in the city and spent the next three days in bed. Once I started feeling better I paid more money to move to a better room. Unfortunately over the week I was there, I had to move three times but I was really happy with the better rooms.

I really enjoyed all aspects of my stay at La Noria, but two things really stood out: (1) the building and the interior decoration: the building is beautiful and historic with a lot of local art inside and beautiful wood furniture in the rooms, so when you get back to the hotel, you still definitely feel that you are in Oaxaca. (2) the location is amazing -- only a 2 minute walk to the Zocalo and the Cathedral, and very close to tons of other attractions.

Really welcoming and helpful staff, our trip on check out day ran late meaning we were late for checkout but it was no trouble – every staff member we came across was so lovely. We had the breakfast and it was delicious, the interior of the hotel is beautiful. We’ve stayed in another property in Oaxaca city and it was extremely noisy, so we were thrilled to find how quiet this was in comparison.

One out of our three rooms didn’t have windows, we only stayed one night so didn’t mind but worth checking before you get settled.

Top notch lovely hotel - good service, facilities, nice helpful staff - and not pretentious. Great location, good food in restaurant.

Shower head spewed water all over bathroom in one room I was staying in. I stayed an extra night so had to move to a smaller, not completely upgraded, room. The room was great, just needs a new shower head.

The location is perfect and room was comfortable. Also liked having Netflix on the TV.

I really would have liked a window in the room. I know that can be typical for Oaxaca but it was really hard to wake up without the sun. There was also hair in the sink and shower when I arrived. The rest of the room was very clean though.
