Hotel Trébol

We loved the kitchen and maintenance staff. The ladies who prepared fresh breakfast everyday were outstanding. Friendly, cordial and just awesome. The guys who did maintenance also went above and beyond doing their thing.

The reception staff are not too welcoming. The woman in charge of providing information on tours was bitter. One day I asked about their tours and she never called back to provide information. All reception staff could benefit from a class or two on welcoming guests.

Helpful friendly staff, great free breakfast, the location was fantastic and the courtyard was relaxing

They use Tide to launder the bedding and I am highly allergic to it. That's just my problem. They quickly switched detergents for our room and solved the problem.

Hotel was great location 1 block to main zocalo, huge market across street. Excellent breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff. Good value

That I wish I could of being able to stay longer.

The location was very good enabling us to access the main square, museums and many cafes and restaurants. Also good for hailing taxis. The breakfast was nice enough but one had restricted choices and we didn't always know what was on offer and communication could be difficult. The bed was very comfortable and the room thoroughly cleaned and safe but we were next to the housekeeping room and the early traffic of staff ready to clean could be troublesome due to incessant chatting in loud voices at a time when we were still sleeping or relaxing. But I made the management aware of the situation and this resolved to an extent. However being close to the open breakfast room and patio, it can be noisy due to visitors speaking loudly close to rooms.

Management should have made staff and visitors alike to be a little more circumspect around rooms where clients were susceptible to be resting. It was very difficult to find someone who could speak english. There is a gorgeous little turtle in the central fountain that needs a little more care to enable her to walk around outside water and make the floor of the fountain more interesting. She was restricted to a pile of rocks otherwise the level of water was too high for a balanced interest in her daily routine.

The central location allowing one to walk to most markets, museums, churches, nice restaurants within a walking distance. One block away to the Zócalo! The personnel is very nice, professional, helpful! We had a very nice experience with all the breakfast servers, and the cook! The food was delicious! My sister and I loved their coffee and every single breakfast we had at El Trébol!

The noise carries over, and echoes at the central room that we were staying, installers of new wrought iron window being installed, working in the evening hours, the toilet tank needed new parts, tv system not working properly.

Amazing hotel; location is excellent, in the heart of the city; 2 mins to Zocalo, very safe, I would stay here if I was a solo traveller. Market is opposite of the hotel with lots of nice food. The area around is buzzing; lots of tourists; yet rooms are in the courtyard and very quiet. Breakfast is great, rooms very clean with airconditioner, even though we did not use it at all (very pleasant temperature in rooms). Generally, Oaxaca is must see city!

Nothing, all is beautifully here; amazing city; amazing hotel!

Great little hotel located close to all the sights in Oaxaca! The room was comfortable if on the small side. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast in the courtyard each morning was a delight, with the staff happy to prepare a vegan option for my partner each morning. It's also ideally located for all the sights of the town, with plenty of food and drink options nearby.

It's at a junction so a little noisy with the traffic until about 10 pm or so. But nothing horrendous.

Spacious, well-appointed room; exceptionally comfortable bed; beautiful common spaces; wonderful breakfasts; pleasant staff. Near the Zocala, mercados and restaurants.

Our room (104) was directly opposite the custodian closet and the common space floors are mopped late at night and early in the morning. The first night and morning the sound of the mop bucket was intolerable and they were not able to accommodate our request to change rooms. After our complaint though the cleaning staff was more circumspect but not entirely unheard.

The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The location made it easy to walk to anywhere we wanted to go. We appreciated the free parking - a bellboy went with us to help with the parking garage. The free breakfast was delicious. They offered paid options if you wanted more to eat.

It was loud from about 9 pm - 12 am - kids and adults talking loudly in the courtyard.
