Hotel Casa Monarca

The location of this hotel was ideal. Just prior to the main historic square, we were able to pull over, check-in and have our car tucked into their garage (20mins away, It was all taken care of for us) within minutes. The room sizes are grand, we had a comfortable seating area separate from the sleeping area with a large walk in shower room. The rooms came with a large storage cupboard, with safe and a hand held steamer included. I was grateful of the steamer after a week backpacking! We asked some recommendations from the staff, all were helpful and friendly, we received a voucher for the attached cafe and had our day organised. A walk in either direction is a treat, we had three different adventures from the hotel, all by foot, fully accessible. A great spot.

A nice, small 10 bedroom hotel. The staff was friendly and was able to accommodate a late checkout for me as my flight was after 6pm. I had a king room with a balcony. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. Located three blocks from the zócalo, it was an easy walk. Thanks to Francisco for always steering me in the right direction.

There is nothing I disliked about the property. The street the hotel is on can get quite busy. If you have a room facing the street and you like to sleep in this might be an issue. I wasn’t personally bothered by it.

no window in our room, sometimes there was no one at front desk but we needed to exit the locked hotel so I question the security

The room was comfortable, the WiFi was fast and reliable, and the staff was friendly. Also, there’s an excellent restaurant right on the property. It’s a breakfast & lunch place.

The room could have been cleaner, but when we told them about it, they straightened everything out.

Beautiful room with exposed brick wall. The bed is comfortable. It is close to the square and lots of food options around.

I find the buildings next to the hotel are a bit sketchy. but overall, we still find it safe to stay and walking around there.

The location and price are very good. The hotel is cozy and has and amazing vibe. It also has a Spa and a restaurant with are very good. The rooms are clean and feel new.

Maybe the staff could have been a little bit more profesional and welcoming.

I really liked the room, which had a large bed and a separate sitting area. I liked the café next-door as well.

I asked for some help with the television and the staff member came to help and then took the remote controls away, and never returned with them. That was odd.

The location is perfect. Close to the city center, away from the noise. The building is impressive. The room and bathroom were spacious with the high ceilings. Staff at the reception was super friendly. Carlos is a great guy. We can highly recommend this place.

The people at the reception were very professional and eager to help. The rooms very clean too. We enjoyed very much our stay as a family of four !
