Andaz Mayakoba - a concept by Hyatt

We loved our stay at the Andaz Mayakoba. Our room was in the jungle area with a big balcony and view of the lagoon. We did hear the ac of the nearby restaurant which bothered my husband a little. The room was big and very comfortable. The bathroom was great. I loved the big shower. It had the best amenities. There are bikes you can take to ride around the gigantic property. It took us 10 minutes to bike to the beach. It was so much fun! Of course there is also transport that will pick you up any time. The beach is incredibly beautiful. The restaurants are wonderful. The food is excellent and not cheap.

At the pool area they played very loud music starting in the afternoon which I think destroyed the atmosphere. It's not a party location. I was glad our room was far away from that noise.

some activities are a bit over priced (e.g. $50 for 35mins of kayaking / $70 to snorkel) which are mostly because they mandate staff must attend all of the activities with you.

This was an excellent hotel to stay in and perfect for the on site concert. It was a breeze to grab a golf cart to the concert and back again. No ques, no hassle, seamless and absolutely worth spending the night there. The staff are extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms have very comfortable beds, are spotlessly clean and have all the basic amenities you could need. You can easily walk or cycle around the property, and to fully enjoy the landscape in Mayakoba I highly recommend the boat tour. It's a wonderful way to see the whole resort. The beach club of Andaz is beautiful, with plenty loungers and towels. The beach front itself is excellent as they installed seaweed barriers, so you do not have any issues at this resort, just crystal clear waters to swim in. The breakfast buffet was great with lots to choose from and of course great service from the staff there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and as a local I hope to return again.

Nothing to fault at this hotel!

The property is very beautiful, beach is a bit far but the 5 minutes bike ride through mangroves is very nice too. Casa Amate ans Tinta del Pulpo have really good food, beach is very well organized and pretty. The room had lagoon view with crocodiles and turtles swimming in the river.

Staff was very nice and helpful, but could be a bit faster sometimes.

The hotel is amazing, very confortable, staff are very nice and attentive. You have so many different activities to do inside the complex. The food is very good! We stayed at an Ocean View Studio. It was the best choice, because the beach is a little far from the main lobby and rooms on the lake areas. But I’m sure it’s still worth it! Hope to come back soon! Sergio from the Eco tour was very very nice, we loved the ride!

Secluded and secure location btw sea and laguna. Preserved animal reserve with a lot of activities available to discover the natural beauty of the site. The rooms are spectacular, the choice of restaurants easy from low key to more sophisticated. The staff is so helpful and dedicated to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Kids loved using bikes to stroll around, or jump in the pool, or enjoy water sports nearby. Very quiet during the evening so perfect for relaxing family vacations

Price of hotel and restaurant in line with luxury positioning but extra activities on the pricey end of the spectrum. But your paying for convenience and great staff

I think they could have more kid friendly options. could offer a small kids pool or so.

The friendly staff were welcoming and helpful from the start, and throughout the stay. The facilities were amazing, calming and exceptionally well kept. It felt like we were in a sanctuary away from the world. I especially loved that we were able to easily move between the various resorts and see what they offered. Getting around the resort was so easy and we had so many options - walking, cycling, golf cart or ferry. Such a treat. The room was large, spacious and very comfortable to stay in.

Very little to nothing was not to like about the resort, staff or facilities. The only advice I would give is to ensure you cancel any reservations as they charge a no show fee - which we weren't informed of, but they removed as a result.

Resort is very nicely designed, quality of materials makes it very comfy. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The beach is quite far but you can take a bike or use shuttle so it is ok. Restaurants are very good not crowded but for better restaurants you need to reserve upfront.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so it is hard to get somewhere without taxi or renting car.

we had an exceptional stay at this property, beautiful, well-maintained, a host of things to do on the property, very helpful staff. Food is a bit pricey and the organization of some of the activities - i.e. figuring out snorkeling, kayaking, sign-ups etc - is a bit difficult, and maybe instructions for getting to the property could be improved a little, but it's an incredible place to stay at.

Restaurants bit pricey, wifi not always the best, and figuring out the activities and some of the additional amenities - kayaks etc... - is a bit clunky.
