Hotel Real Del Mayab

My partner and I stayed here in November for a few days. Great position as it is close to the ferry terminal, bus terminal and beginning of the Quinta Avenida. Really quiet at night. Clean and big rooms with big bathroom where we managed to wash our scuba equipments (we are divers) and let them dry on one side of the room. One of the best thing is that they have water for free for clients! Mattress was a good and hard one. The room can be really hot but it had air-con and fan on the ceiling which helped really a lot. We booked a whole day trip to Chichen Itza through the reception of the hotel from one day to another and they picked us up exactly at the agreed time in front of the hotel. Lots of taxis in front of the hotel too at any time of the day. Small fridge, hangers, locker, towels, soap bar and shampoo locally made and available in the room

The heat in the room at night was too much (I don't like to have air-con on), and the window was not enough to bring fresh air in. No possibility of having breakfast (which is something that I usually appreciate), but it looks like they stopped making breakfasts when covid started

The Lady in the reception was incredibly nice and tried everything to make our stay convenient. Hotel is close to the City centre and to beaches. Ado train only a couple minutes away

wifi was not that good

Friendly staff. On site parking. Cheap breakfast, $100mxn per adult buffet style. Close to beach but you have to walk through the mall and fight your way through the vendors to get there.

Beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were very flat. AC didn't really work. Fan was broken and set to a very slow speed. Multiple lights were out in the bathroom and bedroom. Constantly flickering. TV had very limited channels. Staff was aware and didn't offer to fix or were unable to fix lights.

Spacious room with accommodations of a roomy apartment. Amenities in the room were more than adequate. The air conditioner in the apartment kept the temperature nice and cool. The room was very clean as well. Parking was available in front of the hotel but with limited parking spaces.

Not much to complain about except for the early morning noise of the taxi drivers talking and sometimes playing music loud at 6:30 am. With the windows closed you can still hear the ambient noise from the street below.

They cleaned extremely well and everyday unless you posted on your door. They helped me get in touch with another guest to exchange pictures in a professional manor. The front desk speaks English and housekeeping (arrived when front desk was closed) worked with us very well even through our language barrier. Location is great 5 minutes from beach and away from any bar/club with live music. And the AC left you shivering cold in the morning it was glorious.

I'll be honest the wifi was not great but it doesn't seem like most hotels do unless staying at a big chain but besides that everything was great.

Excellent location, less than 5 mins walk to ADO Bus Station and 5th Avenue. Had the benefit of enjoying the lively and noisy 5th Avenue, but with the ability to return to a quiet hotel for a good nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Chamber Maid's origami with bathroom towels suprised and delighted us each day. Would definitely stay here again.

amazing location! Carlos (owner) and his staff are super friendly and very helpful. they also kindly kept our luggage for two days while we visited another place down the coast. there is an amazing turtle ornament collection in the reception which I meant to take a pic of- collected over years! nice big room also!

only thing I would maybe do to the room I was in was update the shower a bit ( still worked and was hot etc!)

It is a great located hotel that has 24 hours reception so easy to get. They communicate well. Hotel is very clean. We stayed twice during our trip and get two different rooms. Only difference was the water pressure. Ground floor was fine and on the second floor it was lower. Staff speaks English and are ready to help. We will come again. Thank you.

I liked the hotel staff very much, I think they were superb. The wifi was very strong, enough to watch movies with no buffering, and it was consistently good all the time. The AC was very strong. The location was very close to the beach, lots of interesting dining choices, and the ADO bus station which provides easy transportation. Cold drinking water was provided, and the housekeeping was very good. The hotel seemed very safe, but for those who need it there is a safe that is mounted to the wall and large enough for large items such as a laptop computer.

I enjoyed my stay and plan to come back to this hotel.

The staff and the appartment by itself is just perfect as usual. I always go at that place since almost 20yrs now 👌🏼👌🏼

The taxis Driver favorite pee spot right on the front door of the appartment on the side of the building. This bad thing need to be fixed as soon as possible. It's a terrible smell
