Everything was absolutely perfect! The location was excellent, and the accommodations were amazing! We literally walked everywhere...even from the train station with our luggage in tow which was about about a 25-minute walk because we refused to pay 60 Euro for a taxi driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk, so it really was not a problem at all. In fact, when we arrived to this adorable unit, the owner handed us each a bottle of water because he knew we walked from the train station, then he immediately turned on the AC for us! The owner was extremely attentive to all details, and he messaged us daily to see if he could help in any way and offered fantastic recommendations. I highly recommend staying here! This is one of the few places that we found with air conditioning, a lift/tiny elevator (to hold 2 people and luggage), and a wonderful bathroom! I absolutely would stay here again! Amsterdam is such a charming city! Be sure you take a canal cruise at night!

Very spacious and located in the Jordaan near the nine streets. Excellent host, Menno, who is easily contacted when needed and communicates really well. Only downside for us was the cost, but coming from Australia we don’t have an appreciation of the cost of things in Amsterdam. So for European travellers this might be good value for money. Definitely consider Modern Canal House for your next Amsterdam stay.

steep stair case but does have a reliable lift

Very clean. Large space. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Great location. Good storage.Very helpful owner with a lot of good information given prior to visit and good instructions for arrival. The lady who met us was very patient and helpful. All in all very good. Thanks very much.

Just thought it was a little sparse in main room. Maybe a small sofa at end of bed would be nice.

Comfortable bed. Great bathroom with bath, jacuzzi and shower, superb to relax. Lots of room. Airconditioning, fridge, hairdryer, towels, bathrobes and coffee available. Great location close to city center and public transportation.

Airco and fridge did not cool sufficiently. Pillows too soft. Found a hair in the bath.

Great residential location within walking distance to alot of landmarks. Beautiful neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Elevator (stairs are ridiculous).

Bathroom not attached to the unit, it's in the hallway. Nice bathroom though!

Great location near the 9 Streets area, great to walk around locally. The apartment had a lift, or very steep stairs to access it. Shower is exclent, plenty of hot water. the Apartment had air con which was needed.

A little rustic in places, but very clean.
