The Hoxton, Amsterdam

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location in the 9 streets district, right on Herengracht, 5 minutes walk to Dam square, 15 minutes walk to Amsterdam Centrall. Room facing the canal was clean and cozy, and bed was huge. Bathroom was well designed and spacious. Upon reservation we noted that this was 10 years anniversary, and when we checked in we found a beautiful and YUMMY surprise, complementary of the hotel. The staff was anmasing! over the top nice, hospitable, informative and eager to assist - 10/10! Lobby is stylish and welcoming, with a nice restaurant and bar - very cool!

Room was maybe a bit small, and had no clothing cabinet what so ever…

Our stay at The Hoxton was fantastic. The building itself has been beautifully renovated and designed and the canal view rooms were stunning. The atmosphere created in the public areas was buzzy and like other Hoxtons we've stayed in and the vibe was friendly and not overly self conscious whilst clearly maintaining a 'Hoxton Hotel' feel - it's now taken our top spot as our favourite! We loved the location in the 9 streets area and the hotel's proximity to other landmarks and also the tram network was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will be back as soon as possible!

Great room! the level of cleanliness and the comfortable bedding were good as well. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly the front desk attendant named Mariana and her colleague. They went above and beyond what we needed. Our experience In Amsterdam wouldn’t been the same without their help.

It can be a bit noisy when the room is on the first floor

Lacked a lot of facilities, rooms didn’t have any storage, there was never enough water supplied, bathroom didn’t have enough space to hold a toiletry kit anywhere. No deal breakers but would have been more comfortable if there was a bit more practicality. The rooms with canal views had a beautiful view but the windows don’t open properly, just a few inches to let a bit of air in.

The location was perfect. Walkable to everything. And in a cute, quiet-ish area. The staff was one of my favorite parts. They were all so friendly, and really made us feel welcome, and comfortable. Thank you especially to Sarah, and Annie. The restaurant area was so nice to sit, relax, have some coffee, food, deserts. We had the Biggy room and it was exactly as the name implies. Big, and roomy. This was our first stay at a Hoxton, but definitely not our last. Thank you to everyone who made our first trip to Amsterdam so special! Highly, highly, highly recommend this hotel.

We didn't have the breakfast included but room service was very quick compared to most hotels. The building was very nice and quirky and the room itself was quite spacious. Perfect for a couple.

It was impossible to add our teenager to the booking - even though I felt the room was very large, we couldn't have another person in it. It is not as family friendly as some hotels, but it is still very nice for a couple or single person travelling.

Fantastic location and kind staff

There was marks on my mirror - this has obivously been forgotten to be cleaned before delivery. super sad, as the room in general was very good, but it effected the first impression and the cleanness of the room. First 30 hours of our stay - no Wifi. This was a massive disappointment, as I was traveling for work, I had to prepare for a meeting....

The design and attention to details was perfect! The simple yet lovely breakfast was ideal and the location just perfect!

The reception was a bit unclear about the payment options and was a bit confusing to me and since young people are working they seem to care not really about your situation.

Location was fantastic and from the hotel we could walk everywhere we wanted. Did not eat breakfast there but had an evening in with wine and chips. The vibe in the bar was intoxicating and made us feel young again. Room was unusual and quaint as it was on two different levels. The bathroom was accessed via a set of stairs. Bed was comfortable.

We drove from U.K. and parking was not really an option. Better to visit Amsterdam without a car

The location is in the Nines and a great location. They had great indoor and outdoor seating areas in the lobby that were always full of a lively crowd. there was no cleaning of the room due to Covid but they refreshed towels if asked and milk and water for the mini refrigerator.

it is definitely a local hangout which makes it difficult to get seating for a drink anywhere in the lobby for the actual hotel patrons. that said the drinks were yummy though a bit pricey and the bar food was good. a big suggestion would be to make the smokers outside smoke further away from the entrance as by nighttime, the lobby smelled strongly of smoke. we
