Such a lovely unique hotel in a great part of Amsterdam. Beautifully decorated, colorful and quirky with lots of little things that make it extra special. Breakfast room also doubles as a sitting area with cool art/ books/ games. 24 hr free access to coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate was brilliant. We were a family of 5 that split into 2 rooms. 1 had stunning canal views and the other a back street view which was also nice. Bathroom small but modern and designed so everything fits comfortably. Beds really comfy. Easy close access to Anne Frank house and canal boat cruises. great cheese shop few doors down. Would highly recommend staying here.

The hotel's location in Jordaan is beautiful, quiet and very charming. The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable as well as clean and tidy. The staff were attentive and offered us several extras that we didn't expect such as voucher for a free breakfast and goodie bag for our journey home which were a lovely touch. The hotel is close enough to the centre of Amsterdam and easily accessible by tram, but also far away enough that the area felt authentic and not too touristy. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in an authentic-feeling Dutch home!

The canal view room that we had was fairly small so probably wouldn't suit someone who values a lot of space in a hotel room, but was fine for 2 of us, contained everything we needed and fit the cosy vibe of the hotel.

Breakfast for one day. No view. Just the hotel building or building not sure. Quiet was a plus, but price paid with no view was disappointing. Rooms are very samll when you are travelling for six weeks, so we did not unpack lour uggage for the stay. It was tight, but we maanged. If I was a single traveller the space would be fine, but it's tight for two. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful...great team. The breakfast has too many sweets. I eat a Mediterranean Diet, so after eating there twice, one was given gratis and one we paid, we decided to eat at Hotel Mercier where a better balanced diet was available. Presentation of the breakfast at Hotel Jordaan was very nice and the breakfast room was delightful. The food offered was high quietly it's just not for folks with dietary needs. Yes there is yogurt and muesli, but again the overall selection is more geared to the U.S. Traveller that eats a lot of sweets. I eat plain cheerios with fresh strawberry and banana with skim milk and it just didn't work for me. My husband eats anything, so he was fine with all the sweet goodies.

See above.

The location is absolutely wonderful. The Jordaan neighborhood is so quiet compared to other Amsterdam neighborhoods. Mr Jordaan is a beautiful hotel alongside the canal that offered that same quiet feel after sightseeing. The breakfast is filled with all kinds of assortments, and the coffee flows abundantly. The staff are very friendly and wonderful. The rooms are clean and bright. Some face the canals, and the attic room was lovely. Just be prepared to climb stairs. That's just part of being in Amsterdam. I would highly recommend it, and I only wish I had had more time there.

That breakfast isn't served earlier than 730am. If you have an early tour to meet, you are out of luck with getting a nice breakfast to go or before you head out. It really is a nice breakfast, and 630am start would be preferable.

The staff at Mr. Jordaan was very helpful (except for the girl who told us the opposite direction to the tram!). The breakfast was more than adequate and worth its cost. The location was very convenient for the sites we wanted to visit. The restaurant recommendations from the staff were superb--DO try the short ribs @ Sonneveld. The Indian food at At Letting was so good that we ate there twice! The hotel staff arranged for a taxi to take us directly to Schiphol airport for the same price as taking a taxi to Centraal Station and then a train to the airport. Much faster for the same price!! (for a ride in a beautiful, comfortable Mercedes!!) I definitely encourage the use of this service.

The air conditioner remote didn't work very well and it was hard to regulate the temperature of the room. Sometimes it was too warm; other times it was too cold--no happy "medium."

Charming canal location far from the tourist hordes and yet just a leisurely walk away from the royal palace. Tram connection to the central station a few blocks away. Liked the modern yet cozy decor of the lounge/breakfast area. Great to have complimentary coffee and tea available all day. Breakfast was nice, with excellent croissants.

Our very tiny and dark basement room, jokingly referred to as "the dungeon". Brighter lightning (in the bathroom as well) would have been nice. Lots of steps to our room. People with mobility problems should make sure to ask for a room reachable by elevator

Great location. Clean rooms and communal areas. Very good continental breakfast choice. Free tea/coffee all day from a self-service machine. Staff helpful and polite.

Rooms very compact with little storage space. Perhaps bedside shelf tables could be replaced with small set of drawers. Or two pouffe seats under dressing table could be removed and drawers put there (cannot imagine using the seats). Lighting modern but poor in bedroom and ensuite shower room - not easy for putting make up on. If you have a room next to the lift, it can be annoying listening to it clunking up and down in morning/evening.

We arrived a couple of hours before check-in and found that our rooms were ready, very welcome after an overnight flight. Throughout our stay the desk staff was warm and welcoming, and took great care to make recommendations for restaurants, things to do, and how to get around. We loved the view of the canal from our room. There were many thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome, including healthy breakfast options. We loved the neighborhood!

Like most European hotels, rooms were small (by American standards) although efficiently laid out.

Friendly people, nice breakfast, best location for wandering around the canals and visiting the northern market at the weekend.

Mr Jordaan is in a beautiful old canal-side building sympathetically renovated, beautifully decorated and quiet. Great staff and friendly welcoming atmosphere; love the mid-century modern furniture. Very good continental breakfast with fresh fruit, good real coffee - free coffee/tea during the day. Nice dining room. Our room was really clean and freshly decorated, the hotel was well kept and clean throughout. Great location for exploring Jordaan area

A small complaint: the covers on the 3 scatter cushions in our room were visibly dirty, which was unpleasant and out of keeping with everything else in the hotel.
