The location was central and very good! I recommend the area. That was the first reason I booked this hotel. Rooms were clean although very small. Bed was comfortable. The staff was helpful. They even brought breakfast in our rooms the last day due to departing very early in the morning. Cute breakfast area and nice coffee.

Not so important but good to know before you choose this hotel. No elevator and very very upright and narrow stairs. If you have a big suitcase that would be a problem. The breakfast is very basic and not that fresh. The lighting in the room is not bright at all and the most important for me was that the window in the room could not be opened.

I had a small room with two beds, and a small bathroom, but with everything needed: internet, water cooker, fridge, tv, ventilator, desk, chair. The hotel is on the second floor of a monumental building overlooking the Westermark and WesterChurch. The breakfast room is beautiful, and the breakfast very good. Overall an excellent price-quality relation,

You have to climb a few steep chairs before reaching the reception. You should bring some cash as they require 10 Euro deposit for the key.

Budget friendly accommodation option with excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam. Friendly staff.

Rooms and bathrooms looked like they have needed a renovation for some time already. Carpet in the room looked very old and dirty and was not pleasant to step on.

Great staff, location and value. Only fault was our room had far too many very large shelves which ate up a lot of the quite limited space unnecessarily.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was traveling with a large flight case with my bass guitar in it and one of the staff persons met me downstairs and locked it up in a room so that I didn't have to carry it all the way upstairs. It was safe and sound and I was able to get it with no issues when I was leaving the hotel. The price was definitely the best for Amsterdam in general and especially the location. It was within walking distance of pretty much everything. I was appreciative that the room had a mini fridge in it so I could keep my delicious Dutch beers cold while I was out exploring for the day. Overall my stay was fantastic.

The biggest downfall are the stairs up to the reception desk, and then onward up to your room. They are very steep and there are a lot of them. I learned that it is this way in Amsterdam at most houses, apartments, hotels, etc. I don't fault the hotel whatsoever and they were super nice about accomodating if you need help, but be forewarned. I didn't know about the stairs until I was buzzed into the front door the first time. Also, the room is very small and it is slightly awkward getting into the bathroom. None of this bothered me because I was traveling alone and confined spaces don't bother me at all. I thought it was pretty cool how compact the room was, but others may not share my sentiment.

The beds were really comfy and warm. You have a fridge and a water heater and coffe, milk and sugar in you room. Bathroom is equipped with a hair drier which was great since we came soaked form the rain. You need to bring your soap for showering tho. They can clean your room daily if you want and the staff was really nice and helpful. The location is perfect, in the center of the city and everything is near to walk or a station to grab a tram or a bus.

I just wish the breakfast had a bit more options, but it was delicious and conveninent not to buy extra food for the morning. The winow needed to be pushed a bit more hardly to be able to close it properly.

Amazing place, room was tiny but had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast gave us a good start to the day. Characterful and quirky building.

Those stairs! Traditional building, this is how it is. Suggest a chute so we could at least slide down

Everything about my stay was easy and exceeded expectations. For the price I paid, I didn't expect much especially as there was breakfast included too. However, the bed was one of the best I had slept in for such a long time, the breakfast was great especially the fresh bread and the location perfect. I also loved how secure it was. As a solo female traveller that is so important. The hotel has a 24-hour reception as they monitor who comes in and out (so no guests) by asking you to leave your room key and ringing the bell to be let in.

It isn't that I DIDN'T like these things. I just know how helpful detailed reviews are :-) - You have to be paying attention to where the entrance is. It is just a door and no big signage. - The stairs are very old school Dutch - steep and a lot of them as soon as you walk in. Don't take heavy bags unless you can manage this yourself. - The reception check-in area is tiny so hard to keep social distance and it took a long time as the reception had to keep handing back keys to guests arriving. I do believe this was just the timing of my arrival as she mentioned to me that it felt like they were the only hotel in Amsterdam that day.

I only wanted a good room where I could have a good night sleep, one that was clean..For the money I paid I was very happy. The hotel was in a great location and was very easy to find. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Thank you

I left something very small there. It was small but was quite expensive. There policy was they don't post anything back you. It's either pick it up of lose it. I was in Rome so there was no going back. Ps. I offered to pay for the post etc. Still no go. I have to say it was my fault I left it there.

Great view from our room of a canal with a lot of foot and bicycle traffic which was fun to watch from our window. The room was a bit small as we expected from other reviews, but was comfortable and had plenty of storage. Beds were two twins pushed together, which may be the European way, and the mattresses were very soft. The staff was excellent and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

The included breakfast area was small (it was sometimes hard to find a seat), and did not offer any eggs or meats like ham—just coffee, tea, bread, packaged cheese, some fruit, and packaged yogurt. However, the attendant was friendly and worked hard to make room as other guests left. Warning: the stairs are steep but there is a porter to help with luggage. The corridor smelled of cigarette smoke but our room was fine.
