Hotel Old Dutch - Newly renovated

The Hotel Old Dutch is right on the road/walkway that separates it from the marina. All the shops and eateries are just a short walk from the entrance. A bicycle rental shop is about a minute away. The area has incredible charm. The beds and pillows were okay in terms of comfort. The morning breakfast was solid and included smoked salmon and fresh fruit. We arrived via train from Amsterdam Central, followed by an approximate 3-5 minute walk to the hotel.

Our top floor room featured the contours and beams of the roof, requiring frequent ducking so as to not get whacked. Because of the hotel location, there is a lot of street noise at night until everyone turns it.

Amazing location and friendly staff! The check-in has been quick and easy. The harbour view from our room was remarkable, and it definitely made our stay more pleasant. Also, the interior design is very traditional, and we loved the paintings and photos on the walls.

If we related it to the room price, we would have appreciated having more shampoo and body wash as well as lotion in the bathroom. The bathroom is very basic. Would have been nice to have a selection of fresh fruit for breakfast, on top of the fruit salad. Also, some dairy alternatives would have been absolutely great! But overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The location of the hotel is perfect. This is a very nice small Dutch village with a lot of sharm. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful, they sent additional information on parking possibilities nearby. The rooms are really big with very comfortable bed. You can go to Amsterdam with a bus which departs just from the corner and it takes less than 30 min.

Breakfast was very basic. Also the restaurant was nice but quiet pricy.

Fantastic location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal there in the evening overlooking the harbour. Could store our bikes securely in the basement. If visit Volendam again will definitely stay again.

Greate position, very neat, good food and friendly staff.

The alavator was only activated at 07H00 in the morning, which means we had to carry all our luggage down from the 3rd floor to to ground floor making use of the very narrow escape steps, as our taxi was arranged for 07H00.

The hotel is excellent Rooms are comfortable and clean Breakfast is excellent. Hotel is #1 Great location and view from the hotel room

The Elevator shuts down at 11 PM. You have to use the stairs. Parking your vehicle is a bit of a distance.

We picked this hotel because we had been there before and liked it and the location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Could do with disabled parking or drop off facility closer to hotel so my wife does not have to walk too far.

Excellent location and good breakfast and evening meal.

My room was so small I had to edge by at the bottom of the bed to get to the toilet. The shower pressure was very slow and weak.

- Nothing in particular, but did find that the COVID-19 regulations and safety could have been better. Like use of masks by hotel staff, or in the second day of breakfast it was buffet and should have been brought to table to avoid guests interacting with each other. Small details, but overall there was enough care would say and the friendliness and attention of the staff was delightful. - The TV is really small and hard to see from the bed, small detail - The room is right next to the street and sea, so naturally there is more noise that perhaps other stays; but should be expected by guests

We have stayed here many times. It has always been clean and comfortable. With a great location.

We really liked the old Dutch feel before they remodeled the dining room to a fancy more French look.
