A great surprise in our trip round the Netherlands, Wonderful location the town is extraordinary for a short stop off season; we loved everything about the place. I do not know why people are complaining about the tunes played by the near church it is the wonderful part of the visit. The rooms are about the average in Holland- that is why I also do not get the low marks given particularly by the Dutch. Comfort, quality, design, free snacks and drinks, very comfortable beds, high quality of cosmetics, bed-linen, pillows, towels, etc. Just only positive experience. Also the supper and breakfast bought at the owner's restaurant nearby- just great experience, the food so tasty and affordable. The room upstairs for three people brought just sheer happiness among our daughters screaming with joy seeing the luxury and space.

read the instructions how to get to the restaurants where you pick up the keys, I did not and spent some time running around:) and it is across the bridge over the small stream just 5 minutes away. We were lucky to park the car in front of the hotel.

The small hotel is located centrally in this small historic town nearby Amsterdam. Parking is free (!) and enough spots nearby. The styling of the room was amazing! It looked brand new, . very cozy and luxurious. The bed was very large, which is very rare for a person who is almost 200cm, loved it. We had dinner at the nearby restaurant from the same owner 'De Koperen Vis' They serve breakfast there as well. Great dinner menu with a variety of choice from Sashimi to Steak so there is always something on the menu for everyone. The Breakfast was also perfect with plenty of choice and more than enough food. Very friendly staff. Perfect stay.

We were happy and no complaints

I loved the room with the view of the canal. The carpet around the bed was so soft and comforting on my tired feet, I wanted to stand on it forever! The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was amazing!

Having to cross the canal and find the restaurant was challenging with my luggage as I arrived by bus. I wasn't exactly sure where to go but did eventually find it after asking at another place.

Monnickendam is super pretty and the hotel is perfectly situated in the village. The room was very modern and nicely furnished.

This hotel is not suited for people with a weak sleep - especially not our room which was on top and facing the Speeltoren ;) The sound of the historic Speeltoren bells is beautiful though - but they will ring every 15 minutes all night (and will be joined every 60 minutes by the church bells).

Stunning location overlooking the little harbour. The aircon most welcome as very hot weather. Room very smart and comfortable. Our cycles safe in garage. Monnickendam is a gem.

Of note breakfast is an optional extra at the owner's restaurant but is not available until 9 am

Great room, wonderful aircon, and bed. Loved the location and slept super well, the bathtub was also a nice touch :)

Lacked any cutlery / plates in the room in case you wanted to eat something. Cleaner came in just as we came back from a short walk, which was a bit inconvenient as we had to leave again. Would be nice to know when the cleaner plans to come, and also for the TV to be adjustable.

The hosts were excellent, super friendly. The accommodation is linked to a restaurant/ bar. We had to pick up the key in the restaurant which was really smooth. We brought a baby of 6 months and everything was really well organized for the baby as well (bed, linnen, little toy). The room is not too large but everything you need is there and it’s clean and lovely interior. Breakfast was excellent as well!

One tip: being ear plugs. There is a church nearby and every hour you hear the bells. Or tip for the hotel/ place eat plugs for your guests.

- The location: just in the city center with a free parking nearby. Also the location is very convenient if you are planning to visit Edam, Volendam and Marken by car -Nice view on the channel -Clean and stylish room -Staff was friendly -It is possible to order food from the hotel's restaurant and it is brought in nice dishes (not in plastic boxes). They even installed bar tables in the rooms so you can have a nice dining experience even now when the restaurants are closed. -Fridge and electric pot in the room

- Quality of sleep. A clock tower is just nearby and it plays a melody every hour even at night (for about 30 seconds). It is very loud so a closed window wouldn't help. -The room is very small and there is no place to hang your clothes. Ok for 1 night but not longer -Late check-in (3pm)

everything, it was such a lovely room with the upstairs, beautifuly done, and the restaurant you check into was amazing we had a fantastic meal in , 100% not to be missed

The location is excellent, with nice restaurants.

We found the sound of the churche's clock very pretty at first, but during the night at every 15 minutes, it could be disturbing!
