easyHotel Amsterdam Zaandam

Shout out to Lloyd! Management needs to give him a raise! Went to Amsterdam for New Years 2023 and booked this room because there wasnt anything closer to the centrum. I was blown away by the receptionist, Lloyd. He was very accommodating, knowledgeable and exceeded all expectations! Very nice and professional. The hotel is near a train station (5 minute walk) that can easily take you to Amsterdam centrum. Nice views of the city from the room as well. Near a McDonald's and Primemark and other shopping opportunities.

The TVs were very small on a wall so big in the room. The hotel itself was difficult to find...they need more signage with arrows. I had to put on my Indiana Jones hat to find it. There was nothing indicating that the hotel was on the second floor of the complex.

very good location, easy to get to Amsterdam. supermarket just over the road and food places everywhere.

the pillows were awful, very lumpy and flat as a pancake. asked for another but they had none. was very tough to get comfortable to get to sleep.

Location is close to Zaandam railway station; so Amsterdam Centraal is about 15 minutes away by train. The center of Zaandam and the outlook from the hotel windows is very beautiful; colorful Dutch houses along the gracht. Room was clean. Room service was regularly every 3 days (for a week long stay that is okay). The building is relatively new and right in the pedestrian/shopping quarter of Zaandam. There is a Primark in the basement of the building, an Albert Heijn supermarket and a McDonald's next door, and the next coffeeshop for weed is about 5 minutes away (down the gracht and on the left side). The room is what you would expect from a budget hotel - a simple hotel with a comfortable double bed with wide continuous mattress. The table is a bit on the small side, so don't expect to have a full desk - but didn't matter as we were there on vacation. The bathroom is separated from the rest of the room by huge glass panels; these are airtight and ventilation in the bathroom is very good (no bad odours get in the room when using the toilet).

Coffee machine in the ground floor of the hotel only takes coins and gives no change. Card payment there would be appreciated.

Just about everything was absolutely great, clean and fresh. Great views of Zaandam from high floor locations! Plenty places to eat and drink within the immediate area, plus an easy 5 minute walk from the main Zaandam rail and bus station.

TV reception was a relatively poor with the signal dropping and limited choice of available channels - I suspect this is nothing to do with the hotel but the responsibility lies with the nominated equipment supplier / maintenance provider

the location was perfect, easy access to Amsterdam Central whilst also being in a nice location in itself. Can spend a few hours just exploring Zaandam. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with anything we needed. We arrived quite early and they accommodated us with an early check-in which we were very grateful for. For a low budget hotel the service was very good and made our stay worth while!

There was a smell which may have come from the toilets or the drainage. When we would come to our room after being out all day you could smell it quite strong. However, we did buy a cheap air freshener from the convenience store near by and that kept ys going for our short stay.

The hotel was in the middle of the Zaandam shopping mall and very close to the train station. The room was modern and clean. The bathroom was very modern with heaps of hot water. Linen was near new and clean and fresh. The staff were very friendly and catered for our needs when asked. Overall a good two night stay.

There was a loose fitting outside our window and when the wind blew it rattled slightly which was a bit annoying, however this isn't something that could be fixed easily and isn't the hotels problem.

Unlike the Manchester Easy Hotel where we stayed, the Zaandam one was clean, well-maintained, and had helpful staff who were there 24 hours a day. The room was small, and I found the single bed a little precarious, but Easy Hotel is marketed as good value with basic rooms, so that was fine. We also had a nice view over Zaandam.

I can't think of much to complain about. It would have been nice to have had a fridge and a kettle in the room, but I don't expect that from a budget hotel.

This is a very convenient hotel, with many facilities that make for an easy stay. The location in Zaandam is really excellent, only 5 minutes away from the train on foot, and with many many shops and restaurants right outside. It feels a bit business like, clean but somewhat unpersonal. The view was really good, on the 11th floor. But for the price, it was an excellent value for what we got.

The elevators were under construction, a bit rough. The hotel feels a little corporate and unpersonal, also since it is in a business office building. The staff were a little unpersonal as well, but helpful. The room had a clear lack of storage space, there were literally no drawers to be found.

Good location. Easy parking, though a couple of mins walk from car park to hotel entrance including a steep footway to walk up. Once you know area there is a lift nearby which eliminates most of the climb but no knowledge of it till you have booked in.

missed having tea making facilities in room. There is a hot drinks chargeable machine by front desk but don't know how good or value for money. However you are only 2 mins walk from international take away chain open from about 7am till midnight serving value priced hot and cold drinks.

The room was fine for us and had what we needed, The location was excellent, just 2 minutes fro the station and near lots of shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and duvet warm . My request for an extra pillow was handled very quickly and it was brought to the room. The air condition was quite low so the temperature was good.

My luggage was lost and I wasn't able to get a charger for my phone. at reception. I would have liked to have a toothbrsuh, but luckily I had toothpaste. A kettle and tea and coffee would have been good but it was ok.
