B&B Hotel Amsterdam-Zaandam

The breakfast was great there were lots of choices

No oat milk

Staff were so lovely and lent us a European plug for a week when we forgot ours - the room was really clean and quite modern, and the cleaners did an amazing job with cleaning the rooms. In terms of location, there was a regular bus to the centre of Zaandam/train station,every 25 mins or so which took around 15 mins to get to the station. Was easy to travel to Amsterdam/across the Netherlands. Really good value for money and better than staying in Amsterdam in our opinion!

Shame there was no kettle / fridge as would have been really nice to have hot drinks as we stayed for 7 nights

We loved how comfy the beds were and that there were seperate doonas as it meant we could both be comfortable. There was ample storage space and charging ports which made charging and storing our devices easy. The facilities were FAB!! the shower was spacious and the lighting in the bathroom was lush. The staff the greeted you at the front were lovely and made sure that everything was all okay.

Wasn't aware of the holiday tax that you had to pay upon arrival, so just be aware.

Simple clear hotel in quiet location. Very nice staff, thank you them. Price (~€70) was very good for Amsterdam and the quality we got

We found just one way to reach the hotel from Amsterdam city centre - the bus. Although it is comfortable way (direct bus from center), it was just one option and bus was quite expensive (€6.5 per person for one-way trip). It isn't related to hotel itself, just smth to keep in mind.

The staff were extremely welcoming and happy to help whenever we had questions. They were extremely polite and always smiled and greeted us whenever we were leaving and coming back. The location was extremely easy to get to by bus although we had to get a Amsterdam and Region travel ticket as it is outside of the inner city area in Zaandam. However, the bus comes quite frequently and is an extremely quick trip to the hotel- especially Zaanse Schans!!

Everything was excellent. The only downside I could say is about the lack of kettles in the room. We have a habit of drinking hot water so we had to go down to the breakfast area to get hot water but that's also okay.

The reception staff were really cool and helpful. Breakfast was ok for the price. Was a bit further out from the city than I expected but this was on me. The bus rides to and from the hotel made up for it with super friendly drivers and residents from the area ... actually a highlight of the location.

On my last day the housekeeping kept knocking on my door periodically from 8:30 am until I checked out at 11 am yet check out is stated as 12 noon. I chose the hotel for the late check out so this defeated the purpose. Put up your do not disturb sign on check out morning if you intend to sleep in.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. They spoke fluent Dutch and English too and always had a smile on their faces. The room was spacious, good value for money, clean and had everything in it that one would need on a trip. Snacks, drinks and food was available from reception, and breakfast was also available. A perfect stay for one person, a couple or a group looking for somewhere simple but cosy to stay. Was also very well situated, easy to get to Amsterdam by public transport, and the centre of Zaandam.

Nothing. It was all very pleasant for me.

Staff were all amazing and very helpful… the rooms are small but lovely and clean. Not much room to store your clothes but if your only there for a couple of days it’s perfect!!!

This hotel was in the middle of an industrial estate, and when you get off the bus you have to walk all the way around to get to this ….. if only they could put a little bridge over the lake and a hole in the fence!!!! Also rooms were small and hardly any hanging space for your clothes.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Very reasonable price, too, considering we booked for June. Basic room with no tea/coffee. No fridge.

The location is approx 15km out of the city centre of Amsterdam. Takes approx 30 mins by bus to get to town. It's my fault for not checking properly when booking, not the hotel. There didn't appear to be any food places nearby. However, the hotel did have a dining room.
