We had the best stay at the Kauri Motel.. They were so helpful Picked us up from the airport allowed us into the room early and let us stay late such a friendly helpful couple.. rooms very clean and comfortable and the shower was amazing Would recommend staying here and we will be back next year.Thank you so much for our stay

The location was great as we were doing Xmas shopping and right across the road from the mall. Friendly staff and able to check in a bit earlier than advised
The only thing was there was a noise similar to a shower running or hot water cylinder heating up and this happened through the night....bit annoying

The friendly people, the personal effort to make the stay enjoyable, and the little touches like milk in a bottle and soap, shampoo and body wash in bottles making me feel more like a guest instead of just a client
I would have to demand something that would be beyond the expectations of the value of the facilities to have anything to be dissatisfied with.

The owner who was working when we arrived, was so welcoming and lovely. She personally showed us to our room and made sure to show us where anything was that we needed. It was a great location for the Riccarton mall opposite and also for restaurants along the street. It was handy that there was a carpark.

Excellent location for a last minute presents shop, Riccarton Mall, easy access to Christchurch’s main attractions. Also a mere 20 minutes from the airport to meet your flight. Mana Was very helpful throughout and organised our airport shuttle well.

Noise levels to be expected in a busy location, although the room where we stayed was noisy and could hear other guests often, flushing toilets, walking past and general conversation. Not a problem, just something to be aware of

I've chosen to stay at the Kauri Motel for about 15 years - through different owners. The current owners are lovely and very accommodating. The location suits me perfectly being over the road from a reasonably large mall and not far from the airport. Walking distance to the park and where family lives.
On this occasion Netflix wasn't working on either of the two nights and the hair dryer died on the second morning. I let the manager know when I checked out - it's hard to bother people late at night about "TV" so it was my choice to go without it. I have no doubt these issues will have been addressed - it's clear that high standards matter.

Excellent Location right across the road from Westfield Riccarton a huge mall with many good shops. Also close to numerous eateries. Ample Free onsite parking. Fairly close to Christchurch Airport.
Road noise may be an issue as the window glass panes don’t muffle noise at all.
