Tui Lodge Motel

Not far from the train station. The location was at the main road just across from the warehouse department store. All the facilities are working well, and the beds are comfortable. The owner was staying at the same premises, so everyhting will be easy to communicate.

Having quite difficulties to use hot stove as it not really hot enough to cook.

I like how they look after me while I was there. I felt like home. Close to the shop.

I went there earlier around 12noon and asked if I can check in, and she allowed me. I was so happy.

Affordability. Location was great. Opposite the Warehouse. Not far from the city and a drive to the local beaches. I am always very grateful for accommodation. My kids are getting bigger now so I will probably rent somewhere a bit larger next time but I recommend this venue for affordable warm, dry accommodation in Christchurch!

The kitchen cupboard was broken, I opened it and it fell down. When I tried to enter the admin to alert the staff I was unable to. That is not their fault though, and it wasn't a major, just wanted to alert them prior to my departure. Covid has changed the way we interact so fair enough.

The staff were absolutely some of the nicest people I had met in Christchruch! Felt so welcoming and fulled with love, you can tell they cared for the visitors & had love for the hotels.

The property has been taken over by new owners who are trying their very best to bring it up scratch there have been some improvements done would like to stress our room was lovely and clean everything we needed was there if not we only needed to ask.

The beds were comfortable and a great price. We were late checking in but the staff were still helpful and didn’t seem bothered. It’s a ground floor room so that is a bonus for me with a 1 year old and 2 year old. The bathroom area was nice and big and the bedroom was a good size with a double and 2 singles. The 2 single beds in the lounge meant the older kids could stay up and watch tv and not have to fight over a sofa bed.

The instructions for contactless self check in were confusing and when I was given my key, it didn’t work. Luckily I had my mobile on me so I could ring from outside the reception as the office had closed as soon a they gave us the key - we were late checking in. Our room smelled like food but after 30 minutes of airing it was fine - they could have done this before we arrived though.

Heaps of space for a family of 4. The beds were soft. Good water pressure in the shower. They are dog friendly, so that's always a plus.

It's a bit noisy at night, but that can't be helped due to the location.

Tui lodge is all you need for a short stay away. Good kitchenette, comfortable bed. Sofa to watch tv. Bathroom fully equipped.

A bit of highway noise, especially in the weekend, however you soon get used to it.

Location was fantastic with major shops just across the road and so close to the mall. It was great that there were enough single beds for my 4 kids and me and hubby in such a small unit. The price was fantastic.

I believe that the room was set up for 5 people but the sofa was replaced with bed for us, but we were not given the extra plate, cup and mug for the extra person.

Simple accomodation. A little tired looking. Comfortable bed and nice fluffy towels , :) Took ages for the hot water to come through but great pressure and very clean. Gardens could do with some upkeep.
