Riccarton Mall Motel

Close to mall, modern and friendly staff

The only thing I really didn't like was that there was no saftey latch on a window. We were in a two bedroom apartment on the second floor and my young son kept looking out the window/opening it, to my surprise there was no window safely latch, a child could easily fall out and as we were on the second floor it was just not ideal, they also have a rubbish bin close to a child could easily get them self up and out the window. ( I did try to upload some photos to give an example of how wide the window opens and the rubbish bin right next to it but it won't let me) The second thing was not a major but when we got to our room there was what appeared to be a used tissue kind of tucked into the side of the couch which did put us off a bit.

A great place and location to stay. I stayed in Room 9 (upstair) which is awesome and quit. I hardly hear any traffic in front of this accommodation. The bed is so comfy installed with an electric blanket. A well equipped little kitchen and the bathroom is so clean with a spa! Get the bubble soap from the Body Shop across the road and soaking in a nice hot tub is a pain relieve after a long flight. Opposite a big mall and bus stops are just across the road that will take you everywhere! Very friendly staff and helpful.

Communication was excellent. From the first email to the follow-up reminder texts, in-person interactions, and the clear, helpful, and comprehensive (but unobtrusive) information in the room, we were very impressed with this and couldn't fault it. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was clean, well-laid-out, everything worked, and the beds were super soft and comfortable.

Our aircon was faulty (first night too hot, second night too cold) - barely slept as my medical equipment doesn't work under 10°C. Had to drive home 360km after two nights of almost no sleep. However, this was a known issue and the lovely management were very apologetic. Motel was full or I'm sure they'd have put us in a different room. Would stay again.

The room was lovely and clean. The beds were very comfortable,the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was great, plus the shower was exceptional. We were right across the road from Westfield riccarton Mall. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable stay. We will definitely be staying again. This motel will be our go-to.

Loved everything

Everything was perfect. So close to the mall and everything we wanted. Staff were exceptional and so friendly. great off street parking. The room was clean and very tidy. Also very quiet. Internet was exceptional.

We couldn't find a fault at all. Everything was to or more than what we expected. We would reccomend this motel to everyone.

Free parking available at the motel premises. There is a mall right across the street and plenty of shops within walking distance. The room is cosy and comes with a small kitchen for us to heat some meals. Convenient check-out by simply dropping the key into a Key Box. There is a common laundry for guest to use at a very small fee ($1~$4 if I'm not mistaken).

Our 2 Bedroom Apartmentt was extremely clean, modern and comfortable. Quite compact but very well appointed. The beds were really comfortable. We couldn't even hear the traffic even though we were on a very busy road. The property itself is in great condition with off street parking for guests. The location is directly opposite Riccarton Shopping Mall. They even have charging stations for Electric Vehicles.

If I have to say something negative the bathroom seemed to have a slight odd smell to it, but not unbearable. Also with the apartment being compact there is not a lot of room for your suitcases as they don't fit into the bedrooms.. we had to leave ours in the lounge. Not to much of a bother.

The motel is located in a great spot across the road from westfield riccarton and well priced restaurants. The owner was very welcoming and allowed us an early check in as the weather was not the greatest. The rooms and shower area have just recently been refurbished and gas heating for the hot water. The rooms are spacious, clean and look and feel modern. They have a laundry and dryer at a cost of $2 wash and $4 dryer with washing powder provided at no cost. There is enough parking spaces for everyone. All the staff are friendly and will help you at any time.

Location was fabulous. Our 2 bedroom apartment look liked it had recently been renovated. It was spotless and fresh. Beds we comfortable all with electric blankets. Heating was turned on by staff before out late check which was much appreciated. Staff were fabulous. Treated out kids like their own even treating them. Couldn’t complain about anything at all. 10/10

Very highly recommend Scrupulously clean. Super comfy bed. Very quiet despite main road and opposite Riccarton mall. Deans bush. Mona vale and Hagley park a short walk. Good bus links to central city. Short ride. Great parking and free EV charging Wifi fast and stable Staff very welcoming. Communication excellent Exceptional value for money I have rebooked for another visit
