Bella Vista Motel Dunedin

Lighting in the room is the best we have had in years ! Desk and bed lights made it possible to read ! Had all the TV channels a complete package . Upstairs unit with sun …bliss. Able to bring our young dog which was a huge plus . Only met owner who were very friendly .A very comfortable stay for our two nights.

In our view having a large but comfortable bed in the main room made it quite cramped. There was a twin bedroom as well .

Location was ideal for our requirements. Being able to walk to our appointments was one of the reasons we chose to stay there. Friendly manager too.

Wi-fi would have been ideal for business but was not working at the time, however, it wasn't a deal breaker. Everything else was fine and no other issues.

Host was very friendly, especially the little fur one! Rooms are clean and warm, shower is good. Easy enough to access in and out. Our dog was with us, appreciate he can stay in the room too.

Maybe can add on some room diffuser to light the bad smell.

We had a queen studio it was very small it was perfect for the 1 night wee stayed but too small if you wanted to stay a week I think not much room to move around at all.

The owner very friendly and helpful. We have our new puppy with us yes they definitely accept dog which was very nice. They have a friendly dog as well named Mac🐶 very cute ❤️ the place is very clean and warm, they even upgrade our room when they know we have our dog with us. Over all stay is perfect, location is great food shop around. The kebab tho was amazing 😊will definitely stay again.

Bella Vista is a brand we have used several times. This one was very close to several fast food outlets and a short walk to the Dunedin Botanical Gardens. Our room was small but comfortable.

The host was a little over-friendly. The tarif was higher than another Bella Vista and the service was passable but not excellent. Charges for washing machine and drier were made and soap powder had to be paid for. This in comparison with a similar priced stay in Christchurch where those facilities were free.

The room is very clean and tidy. Easy parking is a bonus in Dunedin. It is very nice to be able to stay with pets. My dog was very comfortable in his dog bed on the floor which I brought from home. There is a grass area behind the motel and there's also a park across the street. For those who don't have dogs with them, I have stayed at this motel before I got a dog. It was very comfortable and there was no pet odor or hair. Perhaps they have a separate room for people with dogs. I wish there were more dog-friendly motels like this one in New Zealand.

Everything thing, really tidy, clean, relaxing, great eqiupment in the room, easy location for work, food, easy to find, fantastic service and very cute mascot!🐶

Clean, welcoming and the beds were very comfortable. Everything you need for a short stay in a central location.

The student accommodation behind the motel (I'm assuming its students). No loud music but I could hear a large group until around 3:30am. Not the fault of the motel (they did provide earplugs). It is a student town and it was a Saturday night so we accepted a bit of noise.

Great location. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Friendly owner. Mcdonalds and more right next door and across the road. Comfy beds. Room was easy to heat.
