Grand Muthu Forte Da Oura

Great value for money. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool is a good size with a nice little pool bar that severed a great selection of snacks in the afternoon. Staff friendly. Great location. Good all-rounder hotel. Will book again

Had tea making facilities in our room but no teabags or coffee. We grabbed some from the restaurant on the 2nd day. Also, we arrived about 11pm, but the bar was closed. There was no bottled water in the room, and the vending machine at reception only took coins, so we couldn't use it. Just little things but something that could be tweaked for an improved service.

The staff were fantastic, hotel was brilliant, would definitely recommend. Julia on reception is a real asset to the hotel, she is the most helpful person ever. Also Andre in the restaurant/bar. And Anabelle , the reception manager. I was travelling on my own (first time ever!) attending a wedding and the staff at the hotel really looked after me. I got upgraded to a beautiful suite which was very much appreciated.

There was nothing i didnt like, however (out of the hotel's control) there was a very noisy bunch of guys (probably a stag party) who were really loud and using inappropriate language around the pool and making lots of noise at night. however this is not the hotel's fault, but i felt they should have been told to watch the language and calm down as there were older people and children around.

location was very close to beach and the strip. there are lots of lovely restaurants surrounding. facilities such as pool and beach towel rental are very handy. check in was very smooth and the receptionist was very helpful.

if you do not have kids this hotel is not adults only. there are a lot of families. pool is quite small with a lack of sun loungers. lots of sun loungers reserved with towels. these are only small points, the whole stay was fabulous.

The hotel was great. We were looking for a decently priced apartment to stay in Albufeira and travel around the Algarve during the day to sightsee, shopping and do activities. This hotel is right on the end of 'The Strip' and has many restaurants/amenities around, including some of its other hotels. We chose the cheapest room as we only planned to sleep there but were upgraded to one which included a small cooker and balcony which was a nice bonus. The room was decent size to accommodate the four of us, with a TV and a fridge which actually kept the drinks cold! The AC worked well too. The room was clean and ample amount of towels. There is a safety deposit box in the room, though we had to pay a refundable 15 euro deposit for the key. The hotel itself was clean too and looked quite nice in general. The pool looked nice too (and clean) and although we didn't use it ourselves, there were quite a few swimmers in it. There was a small entertainment room which we enjoyed having a few games of pool in the evenings with the kids. One of the reasons for coming to this hotel was the fact that it had its own parking as I would not want to leave the car parked out on the street. The parking is easily accessible and there is an entry/exit barrier which stops anyone from coming in and parking there. I felt completely at ease knowing my car was safe and there were some cameras around. Not sure how easy it would be to find a parking there during the summer months though as there could be many more guests. We were happy enough with the hotel, that we booked an extra night of stay as we decided to extend our holiday by one more day. We would definitely consider staying there again when we decide to visit the area again. Special mention to the reception staff, Gina, Anabelen and the other lady (didn't catch the name) who were extremely friendly and helpful with our questions during our stay.

We liked everything really. There was a good compromise of quality for the price we paid. Tiny niggles (which some might moan about) which you tend to see in other hotels/apartments anyway. Maybe the main thing we would improve would be to have brighter lighting in the main room for when doing the makeup, etc.

Superb location, near to bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and bus stops. Sister hotels next door and over the road. Beach over the road and 5 min walk down the hill. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We booked All Inc. and variety and quality of food always very good. Head Chef Sandeep came to every table during breakfast service and offered fresh eggs cooked how we wanted! Fantastic room, two huge single/almost double beds pushed together to make massive bed! Very very comfortable, same with the pillows. Had best sleeps! Bedroom led to very large kitchen/living room with huge sofa bed, table and chairs, fully equipped kitchen. That led off to good size balcony overlooking the pool and sea beyond. Very clean pool area with plenty of beds, umbrellas and tables. Lovely pool although we didn’t go in as it was a bit chilly! BBQ area that offered usual burgers, sausages, pork fillets etc at lunchtimes. Old Town Albufeira is about 10 mins max in a taxi for €6 each way, or the Verde bus which takes about 25 mins for €1.40 each way. Bus stop outside hotel main entrance. Highly recommend the Oura Bar, fantastic owners, great cocktails and everyone very friendly! Turn left out of hotel main entrance and it’s just down the steps, next to the little supermarket! Overall, this is an exceptional hotel and incredible value for money. We will definitely book again! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel very welcome!

Very trivial but larger mugs for tea at breakfast. I ended up making 2 at a time and probably had 6 in total because the cups are so small!! And some gluten free bread/biscuits would have been great as I don’t eat wheat.

Nice variety of breakfast items, although better cuts of bacon( back bacon) would have been nice instead of the streaky bacon. Lunch and dinner selection were good. Accommodation standard was good and poor mattresses in Room 231 was promptly dealt with.

Desserts were too repetitive and would have liked to have seen UK type selections, eg variety of cheese cakes, apple tarts and ice cream and hot custard.

I liked that there were restraints you could book into for meals at night. I didnt stay in this hotel I stayed in the grand muthu forte da oura beach club.

The all inclusive alcohol was pretty bad. I know in most all inclusive places it usually is but I would say this was particularly bad.

Hotel was very clean, room was good, nice selection of food & it was great to have the option to eat in some of the other Grand Muthu hotels nearby - we were all inclusive. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes from The Strip but a taxi ride away from the Old Town.

The nightly entertainment wasn’t great and the games room and the outside pool table could do with a facelift.

The location, and general hotel is good. If someone had arrived with a little plunger it would have been great. Sadly this took a lot away from our stay.

We had a blocked sink in our bathroom and went to reception 3 times and were told on each occasion someone would one come to sort it. No ever arrived and we had to use the shower to brush our teeth. Not good 😣

The pool and sunbathing area was great and the location was fantastic if only just a little bit far from the beach, but nothing obviously can be done about that. I thought the staff were very helpful and polite

Thought the hotel could do with an outdoor pool bar. And also found that the bar didn't serve any proper cocktails which disappointed me. I was gagging for a mohito by the pool after a long day in the sun
