Onyria Quinta da Marinha Hotel

Fantastic location and great staff. Rooms were spacious,clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good. I would definitely return!

The food at the bar was a bit pricey. We opted to eat out in Cascais town instead

The hotel is very peaceful and beautiful. It was also extremely clean and the staff were lovely. The breakfast had everything you needed and we also had food for dinner in one of the restaurants - everything was amazing especially the service. We were given an amazing room overlooking the pool and the golf course. We loved the hotel and we would definitely stay there again if we are ever in cascais. For a €2 per night optional resort fee you get some additional benefits such as discounts in the bar, access to cascais museums, free shuttle etc. The rooms were also big and the bathroom was fantastic - the hotel even had engraved toothbrushes ready for us in the bathroom.

- the hotel is being upgraded - some elements are a bit older (eg sauna) but very clean and functional and not an issue at all

The breakfast, room, and the view from the balcony were absolutely outstanding, making our stay truly memorable. The delicious breakfast spread exceeded our expectations, with a wide variety of delectable options that catered to every palate. The room itself was impeccably comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. The view from the balcony was nothing short of breathtaking, offering picturesque vistas that left us in awe, creating the perfect backdrop for our relaxation and enjoyment.

Our stay was flawless, and there were absolutely no drawbacks or negative aspects to report. It was a truly delightful experience from start to finish.

We stayed 3 nights from the 26th to 29th of July. What really made the stay fantastic was the entire atmosphere. The hotel has a great view. All areas areas are clean and well kept. The restaurant and lounge area are comfortable. What really stood out were the service-minded and friendly staff; the gentleman who served us on the afternoon we arrived and the lady from Minas who helped us out at breakfast. Breakfast was good with many choices and enough staff to keep everything in check. The rooms were very well cleaned and equiped and the beds to our surprise were wider then usual (200cm).

The inside pool was a bit small and somewhat warm. Would offer the fried eggs without bread underneath and change the scrambled eggs recipe (a bit too soggy).

Second time we stay at Onyria and planning to go back every summer as it’s fantastic. Location is great if you are after peace and tranquility. The installations are amazing, it even smells nice! You can easily spend the whole day just laying by the pool

I’ll be very picky as I can compare our stay with last year’s. I noticed that a couple times we ran out of amenities that were not refilled/ replaced. Also had to ask for bath towels as we were left with none. Coffee capsules are also not unlimited anymore and limited to 2/day now.

This Hotel and the staff are absolutely fabulous. They are friendly but professional and incredibly helpful and cheerful all at times, they are a real asset. The room was a good size, the bed was a delight and the room incredibly quiet and so clean. The buffet bar each night is also a delight and not like us, but with the exception of 1 night, we ate there every night such was the quality and presentation of the food. Incredible value and lovely dining experience inside or out.

There were never any glasses in our room to use for drinks from the mini bar, we had to ask for some each day from the bar. Seemingly a small thing but it became frustrating when the glasses we got each day were then cleared by room service.

Comfortable room, nice pool view, friendly service. Everything was great. Small things like personalised toothbrushes and molton brown gels&shampoos added a little bit of extra value to our stay.

Two things – there was a conference followed by some kind of after party. As we stayed on the ground level close to the lobby area, it was extremely noisy and we couldn't sleep till around 2 am. The internal pool and sauna area seem to need a little renovation. Was expecting better given it's a 5 star hotel.

The hotel and its surrounding property (golf course, villas) is absolutely picturesque. We only stayed for one night, but I can imagine staying longer. Our king sized bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. We loved the linens and the size of the bed pillows. Our patio overlooked the pool and in the morning, with the shining sun, it was gorgeous. The staff (especially in the bar) were so kind, even though there was a golf tournament going on and they were VERY busy! We didn't golf, but the green's fees seemed very reasonable and the course looked in good shape.

The cost of the food and drink in the hotel bar is crazy for Portugal. $14 for a cocktail and over $20 for a pasta entree is more than we have paid anywhere else in Portugal - and we have been traveling around for the last 5 months. Don't get me wrong, the drinks and food were great, but the prices were akin to the US and we were surprised to see this.
