Lovely hotel in an old renovated house; great interior design and keeping the original stype of the house. very modern rooms (access by code), airy feelings, nice and clean bathrooms. The house offers 2 common rooms (outside terrace and living room with wooden stove) for the travelers to meet. Great breakfast selection and outstanding staff - very helpful in terms of food options, where to travel and general sugggestions. They make you feel very welcome and at home. Can only recommend others to stay there if travelling to Figuera da Foz or the sourrounding areas

Beautiful, historic building, exquisitely restored in a way that highlights its history and and charisma. Very well decorated, quite interesting details. The breakfast was brilliant, very complete - we could see the effort to have the freshest, local articles. Amazing! Very helpful, friendly staff - you definitely feel at home and welcome. Thank you for everything!

Unfortunately, not very good sound proofing in the room, but neighbors were actually not very loud. So a minor detail, in this case, but I can see it being problematic if the house is full.

Incredibly kind and friendly hosts, Cristina and Inés. We have the best impressions of the lovely town Figueira da Foz, opened up to us so soulful and cozy thanks to this place. Cristina told us about the history of the hotel, gave us really useful recommendations and when checkout, made a photo of me and my husband (I always appreciate this opportunity). Beautiful design, great breakfast, perfectly clean charming house where we would gladly come back. It feels like everything is made with love in this hotel.

I have seen a few hundred renovations in Europe. This property is charmed with every incredible detail: historic flavor with modern comfort. The pictures don't really do it justice. Then layer on the service from Cristina and Joyce....I didn't want to leave! Seriously, the linens were mind blowing. I didn't want to get out of bed! The breakfast spread and service was unreal. Private patios for a quiet, late-night cocktail from the honor bar.....Just crazy good. If you can get a room, take it!

I had to leave town!

We had the warmest of welcomes from Inês with a guided tour of the facilities and wonderful suggestions of places to visit and where to enjoy good food locally, no driving. Beautifully, lovingly restore house with many original architectural features - love the mixture of old & new. Bright and light breakfast room, delightful library area with honesty bar and a secluded outdoor seating space. Our double room was bright, light and very comfortable, we slept so well. And excellent shower facility with luxury products. Breakfast was a true feast for all the senses. The use of regional and local products was a joy plus very tasty cake made by the owners wife. A full choice awaits and you will not go away hungry - we walked a lot and had plenty of energy to use the calories. Bacharéis is a true home away from home where the guest’s experience is very important, and made with much care and attention, thanks to Inês. We only stayed 2 nights but felt very relaxed and it was easy to recharge our batteries. Our plan is to return as there is much exploring still to be done and a comfy, home will always awaits us.

Inês gave us the warmest of welcomes, greeted us like family, it was our 2nd visit to this wonderful home away from home. Beautiful room, super comfy and great bathroom products. The breakfast buffet, with many local products, was delicious and perfect for our taste. The extra touches for NYE were so kind and thoughtful. The attention to detail and the highest level of care is given. We shall return as often as we can. Thank you for another glorious stay.

This is a fantastic little hotel that we highly recommend. The buffet breakfast is phenomenal, the staff is super helpful, and our room was very, very quiet. The reno they completed is lovely and the owners are right to be very proud of it! We'd stay here again if/when we're in the area. (It's actually worth a trip to Figueira da Foz just to stay at this hotel).

Our room was a bit small but we only paid for the 'standard' level room. If we wanted something bigger, we could've paid a bit more.

Staff: Cristina and Maria Ines were fantastic. Exceptional and masterful in their service! I received a God King like breakfast that even God Kings would be jealous of. I felt VERY VERY well taken care of.

I think the showers are too small and need a shelf to put things on. This will be troubling for a senior or older person - having to bend over in a cramped shower can create back issues OR a heart issue even. Not quite sure what to do about it but I think it is an observation worth sharing.

A beautiful, tastefully decorated and spotless boutique hotel. Cristina and Innez went out of their way to make our stay a very special experience. Charming House has been restored to an exceptionally high standard, and many of the original antique features have been beautifully and thoughtfully incorporated. The design work has been done with meticulous thought and care. We love Charming House!

Parking was a bit tricky

I would make a 11/10 if I could. Everything was PERFECT. Beyond my expectations, and I do travel pretty much. Christina is an angel. Every detail is well thinked, everything is comfy and cute and functional and a no-brainer. We really feel at home, it’s calming, I got to breakfast barefoot (amazing breakfast), plus it’s an atypical and renovated old house which brings charm. Did I mentioned the price ? Best value. Definitively go there if you stay at Figuera.
