Belver Porto Dona Maria

I loved our apartment felt very private with our own little back garden with grass and patio. One pool was really close by and we had virtually to ourselves, the other pool had stunning views. The cafe was very friendly and we immediately felt at home. We also unexpectedly had freshly baked bread delivered to our door each morning! A really lovely touch.

The mattress in our room was uncomfortable (my partner didn't notice though). I didn't complain though so I'm sure they would have sorted it if I had.

Its an amazing place and lovely apartment. Super clean and comfortable. Love the bread in the morning.

The water in the shower was not warming up and the problem was not solved even after speaking with the personnel. So we had two days without warm water to shower.

This was our second visit to Belver Porto Dona Maria. This time we chose a garden view instead of an ocean view which was lovely. It was so quiet and beautiful. They gave us a bigger apartment than we booked and just closed off the other two bedrooms. The apartment was very spacious and quiet.

It would be nice to have some relaxing sunbeds for outdoor furniture instead of just a table and chairs which were a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast we had the last time we stayed there was not something you'd miss so I'd suggest to make use of the small kitchen ans enjoy your own breakfast on your terrace.

No one on the website mentioned the wonderful chef they have on site. I was so surprised to have just us two for the amazing breakfasts and evening meals. If he was in England the place would have been fully booked every day. He is called Cristiano. The breakfasts are more like lunches and only 7.50 euros! A real bargain. I really recommend this place for people who like a beautiful setting in a quiet location and good food! The evening meals are something else - we were served king prawns, pork, chicken, beef, veg - basically everything you can think of - all on one evening. Tasted fantastic. We didn’t get this type of cooking anywhere else in Portugal. Also worth a mention is the massive pool. There were hardly any people by the pool and when we went in we had it all to ourselves.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The WiFi is non-existent but we got by using the mobile phone.

Separate apartment which was nice as picked up groceries & self catered on our balcony looking down to sea. Very private with large pool area.

The door locked us out without a key or phone so lucky to find someone to give us another key after 8pm! No internet available - not crucial for a short stay but would be for business.

Nice rustic house with fantastic shower and wifi. Only a electric plug in fan/blower. No Full air con! Bed ok for comfort, have slept in worse. Free Bread in Morning was a nice touch.All in all happy with house and would stay again. (502).2 Pools. Great views over the sea from large one. Onsite restaurant was closed during our stay.

We were very happy with the location, we were upgraded to a sea view room. The pool was great. We really appreciated the fresh bread every day!

It was fine but the furniture was old and tired. There wan't much in the way of tools, etc in the kitchen making it hard to really cook anything.

would have liked sea view , but was not available. no kettle or iron in appartment which would have liked. very quiet . good if you like peace and relaxation,

no english tv. would have been useful on the rainy days .

I really enjoyed the splendid view from the terrace, I liked the generous size of the room, the swimming pool and how helpful and friendly all the staff were. It was also a lovely touch getting a nice loaf of bread in the morning, although one was enough for the week (I got 3 :-) )

The fridge located in the open plan room was quite noisy and particularly noticeable at night, which was a shame as everything else was great.

Clean. The apartment had a nice backyard to eat and relax. Nice walking paths next to the cliffs. 2 swimming pools available.

Bed mattress could be more comfortable and could have a better TV (it had a lot of channels tho).
