Superb hotel very friendly welcoming staff that cant do enough for you. The hotel itself was beautiful with great pools (sadly we didnt get to use them because of poor weather) and gorgeous gardens. The maids did a fantastic job of cleaning the room to a high standard and the location was 5 mins walk from the beachfront. There were plenty of options for the included breakfast so something for everyone. I only wish we had taken advantage of more of the facilities this lovely place had to offer.

The only thing i would mention is the rooms could do with abit of updating but for the price we paid and the standeard of clenliness its absolutely not a moan.

Everything Good. Tasty breakfast. Big variety. Big room with private bathroom and balcony. 2 swiming pools in the nice Garden.

Great situation for the beach, all staff were lovely & very helpful. The beds were very comfortable & made every day with fresh towels if you wanted them. Pool towels were lovely & big. Breakfast was good. Loved the hammocks & day beds, great idea. The gardens are lovely & the tennis courts used a lot.

It really needs a freshen up, it’s very tired & not a 4 star hotel. The pools had tiles missing, chipped steps & generally tired. There are only about 4 working parasols by the pools, which made sitting in the shade very difficult. The Pool Bar run by a lovely lady was OK, but to charge €6 for a glass of wine is way too much, more people would stay all day with better prices. No one supervised that children were not in the adult pool which when you want to read quietly was annoying.

Nice location and view of the bedroom. Very nice balcony for end of the day drinks and snacks! The staff was amazing! (Special thanks to the Brazilian guy that does night shifts, he was very friendly and helpful). Quick walk to the beach, nice wifi and parking spots). Lots of entertainment options.

The hotel is not identified by the same name it is at booking. It is called "Hotel Luz Bay" . We had trouble finding it. I identified by the building photos.

Quietness, how close it was to the beach. The staff were very friendly and nice, always available. The property grounds were lovely! Amazing pools, we were lucky we had nice guests in the property. The cleaning lady was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

There was no utensils for drinks (coffee or tea) in the bedroom. would’ve been a nice touch to be able to have a coffee or tea without leaving the room.

The hotel lies in good quiet area near the beach (5 minutes walking). Hotel itself have everything you need to spend good time. Rooms are big enough, there are pools, sauna, massages etc. All the buildings looks very nice and in Portuguese style.

The air conditioner wasn't working which is a minus (it was cold outside and we couldn't make it warm inside) Also the staff doesn't know Portuguese law. I am exempt from wearing a mask and I have doctors certificate as a proof. I checked Portuguese law and it says you don't need to wear a mask if you're exempt. So I was forced to wear it and risked my health- that's another minus.

We booked last minute and everything was beyond our expectation. Nice balcony and view. Comfortable and clean shower/bathroom. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. We wanted to book one night extra and that was no problem at all. Very good housekeeping! Every time we came back to the hotel at the end of the day, the cleaners had replenished everything and cleanded where it was needed. Extensive breakfast. They have everything you want (coffee, tea, orange juice, different sandwiches, salades, etc.) Super nice location , a few minutes from the beach and boulevard, with nice restaurants and bars. Relaxed swimming pool. Lots of privacy. Perfect!

First of all the hotel is known as Hotel Luz Bay to taxi drivers and locals and is the actual name on the outside of the building. It was an oasis of calm. Beautifully landscaped, three pools, a tennis court, on-site scuba diving lessons, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The rooms are bare and basic but comfortable and have a TV and a fridge. Its not luxury but is a fantastic price for the facility. Lying by the pool with my book was bliss. They also have very comfortable day beds if you prefer the shade. 5 mins walk to the beach.

Place needs abit of maintenence, no privacy on the balconies (could just do with a little screen to seperate the joined ones) Pools were very cold compared to others we had been in on the same holiday
