Excellent view of the Atlantic, beach, location, the sand was soft and lovely! The staff was very attentive and minor problems were resolved within minutes. Security was excellent. Shower and bath always had plenty of hot water. Air-conditioning was great!

Everything, although we never met our hosts, the communication was excellent with thoughtful touches throughout the place. The area, being low season November was just the relaxing space we needed after busy days at the MotoGP at the Portimāo circuit. We pre-purchased the grocery package, it was €60 but we felt it good value for money that also included red and white wine plus beers! Well done Luz Apartments, a great place!

Nothing. If I was being pedantic, the toilet cistern knocked against the wall when you sat on it, not that it bothered us!

We booked the Sea Front apartment for 5 nights and it was the highlight of our trip to the Algarve. The location was spot on, the view spectacular and the apartment was spacious and very comfortable. We love the little things that were included like the beach umbrella, beach chairs, electronic orange squeezer and menus of local restaurants that made our stay at Praia da Luz even better. The option for a welcome pack was also a nice touch. Checking in and out was easy and the staff was friendly.

Unfortunately, the noise from Boaty's/Zou Zou bar that went on past midnight was not ideal for a light sleeper. The bass can be heard through the closed windows and doors. Thankfully, we packed earplugs which blocked out the noise and helped us sleep. The apartment we stayed at was right next to the bar so this may not be an issue with the other rooms.

The location was great. The kitchen was well equipped. The AC in the bedroom worked well (although one night it started dripping, had to use 3 towels to catch the water). Parking is convenient to the property.

The pillows on the bed are awful, the worst/cheapest pillows you can imagine. This next one is fairly unique to my situation: I received a call 3 days before arrival and was told that I was being upgraded to a beach front room. Naturally, I was very excited. However, upon arrival, I was told I was no longer receiving that upgrade. I have never had this happen to me, in fact I have never even heard of this happening to anyone. It was strange.

This apartment was everything we wanted! We had a perfect beach side balcony with a lovely view. The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs...A++ for the Nespresso machine! The bedroom and bath areas were very comfortable. We had plenty of room in the living/dining area to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. The hosts provided a cooler, ice pack and beach gear (chairs, umbrella, etc) for our use...very nice! Hosts are very pleasant and willing to give recommendations for area activities. There are many choices of good restaurants within easy walking distance. We ordered the Tapas add-on package and were so pleased to have a wonderful selection of food/beverage items curated by the hosts ready and waiting for us upon our arrival...it was perfect!

Really well appointed apartment in a great location. Ours was set back from the beach but we had a wonderful view from the living space balcony. Extremely well equipped for self catering - we were trying to economise for the 4 days we stayed and everything we needed was there - good pans, knives that worked etc. Two excellent super markets nearby. The apartment reception was open when we arrived but they had a good system for handover if you arrive out of hours. Plenty of room. Would recommend to friends.

Bed was very comfortable but would have preferred duvets to blankets - It’s a small thing - it would not stop us from coming here again though.

The beachside location was perfect- we had fantastic views from the balcony and were able to be on the beach 1 minute after leaving our apartment. The restaurants were high quality and despite being right next to the apartments, there wasn't any noise at night which was perfect for us. The apartment complex was inviting, with sweets and an open library on offer, and the apartment was perfect for our needs. The owners were kind and friendly, and also told us about lots of tourist attractions nearby, including a nearby hotel which we could pay to use their pool and tennis courts.

We loved our stay, but there were 2 small issues we had which we resolved ourselves: 1) before arriving I asked the owners to make reservations at 3 restaurants for us, but when we arrived at the 1st restaurant the reservation hadn't been made. We fixed this by checking the other 2 restaurants and also found that reservations hadn't been made, so we made our own reservations. We also told one of the owners about this to make her aware. 2) My husband found his side of the double bed (twin bed) stiffer and less comfortable than my side. We used some of the extra blankets as extra mattress-softeners.

We stayed 7 days at Luz Beach Apartments in July. The little city Praia da Luz is very cosy, touristy but still quite enough to have a chill holiday. The booking process was very easy and the communication with the team was perfect - they are very kind and helpful, they reacted very fast to our questions and organized for us a car rental which was very good and trustworthy. Our room was very clean, although some reviews say it's a bit old style, it is not, it's tasteful decorated and much more than that, the apartment has absolutely everything you need, from coffe to oil for cooking, pans, iron board, sun umbrella, etc. The amazing team of Luz Beach Apartments is very professional and answers any questions dealt with any kind of problem, handling situations incredibly good, even in their free time. We can see that they love their job and do it very well. Their service is just top! We had a fantastic holiday in Algarve and we would definitely recommend and come again to Luz Beach Apartments! Thank you Luz Beach! PS: The apartment Building has even a little Library near Reception, with all kind of books, in different languages!

Comfortable, spacious, well appointed, well maintained, lovely balcony, splendid outlook, helpful staff.

Continual music from adjoining bar/restaurant with penetrating base notes for most of the day. Downstairs terrace unattractive with little use. Shower not easy to use. Would have preferred apartment closer to reception, away from music and less distance to beach!

The studio unit we rented had no view but it was close to the beach and the waterfront promenade and its good eating establishments. We used this place as our base for exploring other parts of the western Algarve.

Our unit sat on top of the back of the downstairs restaurant. When it closed in the evening there was a lot of loud conversation among restaurant staff that came up through our bathroom fan vent quite clearly. Perhaps some kind of soundproofing would be possible.
