Chic & Basic Lemon Boutique Hotel

I like the location. It's really in the heart of Barcelona, 1 min from the famous street La Rambla, so many shops and bars around the hotel. I had lunch in the restaurants next to the hotel. I loved the place. The wifi is very fast. I could finish my work and send the emails. There is espresso coffee all day, everyday in the hall of the hotel for free, which makes it amazing. The cleaning ladies are very nice, always smiling and they were cleaning very well.

When I arrived, the girl at the reception did not do the check in for me at 10.00 eventhough I had requested by email and they had accepted. so, after 7 hours of flight, I had to go around the city for other two hours, and only at 12.00 I could do check in. after that, she asked me to pay more, eventhough I had already paid the first night, she wanted me to pay for it again. it was her mistake. After verifying, I paid the real amount. in all, for a double room for 5 nights, I paid 831 euro. another annoying thing was the noise. my room was in the first floor facing the street and so very noisy all the night.

Located close to Rambla and Placa Catalunya, Metro and Bus station 1 min walking, supermarket, coffe shops, bakery or other stores are super close. The staff is friendly and the cleaning ladies came to Tide up the room every day. Spacious bathroom (for the Super rooms). There is a nice terrace with free coffe, water and Tee at your disposal 24h. We got shoes, a shopping bag, a small bottle of wine, water, Chips and lolly pops as a welcome present. Smells like lemon everywhere :)

The noise. It's very loud, you can't sleep with the windows open unless you are super tired. It's a Hostel / 2*hotel which is pricy for what they offer. No breakfast. Small balcony.

The location of the hotel is superb for the price. Our room was really nice with a lot of light and a nice view of the city. Cleaning ladies did a good job every day. The terrace of the hotel is also cool, although the coffee machine was broken. Would recommend the hotel, good value for money!

I booked a more expensive room with a balcony and view of the city but was told upon arrival that this room wasn't available due to some unforeseen circumstances. Then we got placed in a dim small room with a window overlooking the elevator shaft for a reduced rate but after I complained, it turned out that the room I originally booked was available after all! What a miracle!

VERY CLOSE TO CATULUNYA SQUARE AND METRO TRAIN. ON THE LAS RAMBLAS STREET FOR SHOPPING. GREAT LOCATION. VERY GOOD FACILITIES. FREINDLY STAFF. AWESOME PLACES TO EAT NEARBY. CENTRALLY LOCATED TO GO AROUND THE CITY.

THEY DONT GIVE BREAKFAST. THAT WAS A DAMPNER. BASIC BREAKFAST SHOULD BE PROVIDED IN THE MONEY THEY CHARGE. THEIR CARD MACHINE WAS NOT WORKING AFTER PROVIDING FOUR DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS AND ALMOST DINT GET MY ROOM FOR THAT. BUT THE STAFF ON DUTY WENT OUT OF THE WAY AND SWIPED THE CARD ON A DIFFERENT HOTELS MACHING AND LET ME IN AT 1:00 AM. THAT WAS KIND OF HIM.

Check in smooth and without problems. Friendly and helpful staff. Lift to room. Room large with large bed and good desk for working. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom good, shower in bathtub but with handle for getting in and out and anti-slip in tub, lots of hot water which came immediately. Shelf over sink, nice towels. Over all good design with simple but colourful measures. Nice public areas and lovely courtyard. Free coffee, tea and water. Location next to university excellent, view on street side of hotel excellent.

Big things: door closer did not close door to room; even with good windows center city location / traffic hub quite loud on street side. Small things: not enough electric sockets in room, even less in public areas; light switches in room confusing (in the end I pulled out a few plugs).

It was simply the best choice to book this hotel and it made our stay in Barcelona even more fantastic. It was our safe haven after the days full of sightseeing. It is extremely well located in the centre, next to Plaça de Catalunya and La Rambla, so most of the time we could just walk (even to the beach, which took like 30 minutes). But the public transport options are also great with a metro and many bus stops in front of the hotel. The receptionist was always kind and helpful, we could even get a band-aid when needed. The room and the common places were perfectly clean all the time and we were thankful for the air conditioning. The room itself and also the bathroom were spacious enough. The bed was comfortable, and although I was afraid how noisy the summer nights would be in the centre of Barcelona, there was no problem, we could sleep peacefully. Also, the sun terrace/common balcony was like a dream, we liked sitting there a bit either in the morning or in the evening. Due to the central location it is easy to find places to eat or small shops to buy things, and there is even drinking water fountains to fill up water bottles. All in all, I would stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel for short and long stays as well.

We got twin beds instead of a double bed and they tended to slide away from each other, but it didn't cause much inconvenience. The hotel was still perfect.

Basically we loved everything, the place as good as it is mentioned in the booking. The check-in times are awesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage for the day after checking-out. The place is very very well maintained and lots of thoughts are put to make this place a treat to the customers. The location is very good to go anywhere. The patio is amazing. The kitchen and the freebies in the kitchen are added benefits.

The AC in the facility was not working, but the staff explained us properly that city has not allowed the AC to be used yet. The elevator on the last night of our stay was not working, but they fixed it the next day.

The hotel is truly chic and basic Everything you need is there Very comfortable and cozy room They also have an amazing lounge indoors and a patio outside for guests with several types of coffee tea, Cookies amd free water where you can fill your own flask or just take it with you and return it later The location is super for me, i wanted to be close to universitat station and it less than a minute walk, grocery stores, pharmacy and restaurants of all kinds are in a walking distance

I only hoped the balcony is a bit bigger but that is not something doable

The location of hotel is awesome! You can walk to all the best places in the city and you have a direct bus from/to the airport very close by plus the subway station is below the building. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean, great design, comfy beds, great shower. There is a beautiful terrace and a big common space where you can drink tea or coffee (available 24/7), chill, work, meet other travellers. Also there is filtered water available and you can use the fridge. It is perfect for all those who want to explore the city to the fullest as well as for those who come on work trips. It is a quiet and polite environment. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Barcelona.

Great location, very helpful staff. I received a number of emails and WhatsApp’s before my arrival and I ended up arriving later than planned, meaning the reception desk was closed. Reception emailed me as I was en route with instructions to visit their sister hotel round the corner to check in, which was very close indeed and a smooth process. Free tea and coffee and a lovely terrace area.

It would have been good if reception was manned till later in the evening, but the alternative was fine. If I’d not had internet service it might have been a problem!
