Liked the quaint building, the breakfast and wine. The staff were very nice when available. Not crowded and quiet. Hotel set up taxi service to and from.

Bedding wasn’t changed during the week or bathroom towels. Tissues in room. Locks on the door should be updated even though they offer somewhat of a antique charm. Responses from staff through booking.com is very slow. Lack of staff in evening hours although you could call a phone number but is inconvenient to access when our cell service was not working in Spain. Room (bathroom especially) too small so would upgrade or stay somewhere else.

Great location with many restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was sweet and personable. The breakfast was simple, but delicious. It was refreshed regularly in the morning. Coffee was via a Nespresso and easy to make. They had a beautiful terrace, which was accessible 24/7; however, due to city regulations, not lit at night. It was very peaceful and quiet. We had a wonderful stay.

Shower was a little small. The hotel is expanding, so our room was actually the building next to breakfast and the terrace. The particular room we stayed in was cozy, but dark. The lighting was dim and the windows were difficult to open (if they did, I couldn’t figure it out), which made it hard to do do your make up.

The bed was completely sunken in the middle. It was very uncomfortable. The TV didn’t work, I had read it never works and the staff pretended to be surprised about it not working. It was said there would be slippers, but there weren’t. I was never given the Wi-Fi code.

Beautiful room, high ceilings, opening up on a quiet interior courtyard. Oasis of rest in a busy and very good location. The breakfast area (roof top terrace) was absolutely amazing, quiet place to sit in the early spring sunshine.

While the room overall was very clean, there was some mould in some parts of the bathroom and in the small in-room refrigerator. I get this was not about the cleaning per se, but this should be addressed as it is not up to the standard I would expect. The room was in a next door building meaning we had to go to breakfast area outside via the street, but not a big issue.

We loved everything! The room was spacious and the bed was amazing and comfortable! The service was exquisite, breakfast was delicious and beyond expectations and the outdoor patio was lovely. This place is a real gem! The location is right in the middle of everything yet the room was quiet. We live in Spain but will do our best to stay at Ca La Maria every time we need to be in Barcelona. If you need a short or long-term place for your stay this is your place. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Fantastic cosy, stylish and interesting B&B. Great room/suite and excellent common spaces. Huge terrace and inside theres a lounge with teas, coffees, cake, fruit and a large book selection. Comfy, large bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. There's a cool vintage elevator you can use to come up. Great location close to Diagonal and another metro station. Breakfast was excellent, so much home made food and pastries. Happy to store luggage before and after check in. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was very clean and well maintained with just enough to get you set for your holiday. It was simple but delightful. The staff were incredibly helpful especially considering we had an early flight but they helped us book everything we needed. Our room was in the adjacent property and was kept clean and well stocked as needed. The location was spot on- perfect for that balance of tourist attractions/shops/restaurants/beach.

The ladies at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They supported me with refrigerating insulin and serving breakfast earlier than usual on a day I needed to be up early for a meeting. Mirella helped me with information on metro trains, the beach and more. The common areas in the main building are impeccable and every piece was set with the highest standards and taste. The breakfast was delicious. The old buildings are a piece or art on their own.

Unfortunately, our room was not located in the main building but in the building next to it so we did not use the lovely common areas as much as we would have if we had been in the main building. I failed to mention at the front desk that the air conditioning in my room dripped and made a very loud noise every time it was on, so at night I had to turn the AC off. It didn't bother me much until the last night when I couldn't sleep. Otherwise, all was well and lovely.

Gorgeous personal touches at breakfast, it was the spread of my dreams, every day there was something different. Home made and Spanish! Great quality food! Freshly squeezed orange juice! It was so comfortable it felt like I was staying at my friend's house, with class! The terrace was a luxury to have, somewhere to relax during siestas or in the evenings. I absolutely loved the idea of the honesty bar.

Our room key was an app on my phone, this was a bit of an added responsibility as I had to ensure there was enough battery life. Also our apartment was not in the main building.

This stylish boutique hotel is in the perfect location, between the more touristy Gothic Quarter and regular neighbourhoods, and very close to metro and bus stops. We had the small double room and it had a big bed and a balcony, but the ensuite didn't have a door. Guests have full run of the living room, with a fantastic book and DVD selection (there is a projector/screen) and in nicer weather the outdoor terrace would be the best feature because it is huge and very well furnished. The breakfast was delicious (yogurt, pastries, hot food) and the coffee/tea facilities are available at all hours. Note that access to the property requires using a link on your phone, but the hotel WiFi reaches the street if you don't have cell service while traveling. Staff were friendly and worked super hard, and responded to email questions in advance. Would definitely recommend for couples and families.
