Everything was exceptional! We had a check-in after 5 pm, when the staff went home, but they made sure to keep in touch with me through Whatsapp and explained the whole process of how to get into the building, how to fetch my keys, and other important details. They were always available if I had any questions and their service was incredible. I was happy even before I got to the room! We chose the room with a balcony and it was so beautiful! The whole place is decorated in a vintage style and the effects are maintained everywhere. Our room had a wonderful terrace where we had our morning breakfast and coffee surrounded by greenery. The Nespresso machine was available at all hours and is a total godsend. The terrace looked out below onto the dining area of another restaurant. The space was almost majestic! Bathroom amenities were luxurious and provided in plenty. Lovely hosts, great atmosphere, and situated fantastically on p. de Gracia, a mere few meters from Casa Mila. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would love to re-visit. Highly recommended!

The bathroom sink smelled of waste when we opened the taps to rinse our hands/ freshen up. Bathroom trash cans could be bigger. More pegs in the bathroom to hang up clothes/ bathrobes.

Lovely staff, delightful decor, excellent continental breakfast with many choices, tea, coffee and water available 24/7 in guest kitchenette, guest lounge/reading room/breakfast room for relaxing with a book or enjoying quiet conversation. Occitane bath products. An iron and ironing board were appreciated after 3 weeks of living out of a suitcase. Within easy reach of excellent restaurants, shopping and sites of interest but away from the crowds of the more touristy areas of the city.

I stuggled getting my suitcase up the stairs from the entry foyer to the elevator but it is clearly not possible to alter the elevator installation. There were no towel rails in my bathroom, only hooks, making it difficult for towels to dry. The sliding wooden doors to my balcony could do with some adjustment/lubricating as they were very stiff and difficult to open.

Loved the hotel. Absolutely beautiful very comfortable beds and lots of Spanish charm. Perfect location near lots of great shopping and food with access to main roads. On a quiet street best sleep I had traveling Spain.

Rooms although beautiful lack basics, hot kettle small fridge iron and a larger desk space or just table to put anything on. There was a tiny table in the front of the room. Barely enough to hold one tray. There was plenty of space in the room for much larger table and all these basic amenities that make traveling much easier.

Location and style/design which makes you feel as if your are in the beginning of the last century) Comfortable bed, and excellent sound isolation, living with a window facing the street in the center of the city and not hearing any noise is impressive. Also Teodora was very nice and assisted us with every request we had.

The hotel is located on Pg. de Gracia which is crowded with shopping centers and lots of restaurants. Many touristic locations like La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and Casa Amatller are walking distance away. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms and hotel itself is very clean. You even have a small balcony in your room which you can see Casa Mila from.

The only thing I didn't like was check-in. Actually staff was very helpful and contacted me in advance. However it would have felt better if there was a personnel after 4 p.m. It feels like you got scammed with the procedure after arriving 4 p.m. but it is all good.

A lovely surprise. Not that easy to find (a little brass plaque is the only indication that there is a hotel in the building). Our room was half of what must have previously been a large comfortable reception room, complete with a high elaborate steel pressed ceiling. It also opened onto a large balcony which looked down into a shady courtyard where a restaurant operates. Don't worry about noise, however, the doors are double glazed, as are the sliding doors. There are also shutters and solid sliding doors. The hotel staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us with taxis, directions and useful suggestions. They were friendly and could not have done anything more to make our stay as pleasant as it was. Breakfasts were really good.

Circa 1905 is a special place to stay. It’s a beautiful Modernista building in a great location, within easy walking distance of Las Ramblas. The property has been decorated and furnished very tastefully. Our room was so comfortable, a large bed and a gorgeous tiled floor. It was an added bonus to have a terrace. The complimentary, continental breakfast was delicious and well stocked. There was an area where you could get tea, coffee and water 24/7. There are only 9 rooms so it felt very personal and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is centrally located so we expected some noise, however our terrace overlooked a bar, one night the music was so loud we couldn’t sleep. Our friends had a room with a balcony which overlooked the street. If you’re noise sensitive I suggest you choose a balcony room.

Circa 1905 far exceeded our expectations. It was so much better than a "boutique hotel". The room was comfy, artfully decorated, and beautiful. It had modernized double-paned floor-to-ceiling window doors that fully blocked all street noise while still letting in light. The neighborhood was upscale and quiet. The bed was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Nespresso coffee, American brewed coffee, teas, bottled water, and sparkling water. All different kinds of cheeses, Spanish ham, and chorizo, fresh fruits, breads, pastries, yogurt, cereals, and more. The staff was extremely helpful. Maria, the owner, even went so far at checkout, when we were leaving for the airport, as to have us leave our luggage at the door of the hotel while she went with me to catch a cab at the corner, tell the driver in Spanish or Catalan that we were going to the airport and to take me the 1/2 block back to the hotel to then pick-up our luggage and my wife directly in front of the hotel. I enjoyed our brief stay there as much or not more than our stay at a "4 Seasons" in Hawaii.

There is nothing to report here. There was nothing to object to here. There was nothing we found as a negative about this hotel.

Breakfast was great! Loved the tortilla and the fresh juices. Also appreciated how our room was cleaned every day. The housekeeping people also left extra slippers and robes because there were 3 people staying in the room. The balcony was great. It oversees the restaurant next door so it always sounded festive and fun when you were out there. The soundproofed doors leading to the balcony also worked extremely well. I also came after the check-in window closed (2-4pm) and someone had stayed behind to make sure we were able to get our keys and everything. Thank you to the staff!

Wifi was pretty spotty in our room which made planning our itinerary difficult. There was also a small issue with the shower. When trying to switch to the hand held shower head, we couldn’t get the water from the faucet part (the part that fills the tub) to stop running. So the water would always be running from two places and the tub would slightly fill up and drain slowly.

Perfectly located, clean & charismatic place. The hotel is small but rooms are spacious enough and have everything you need. There is no tea/coffee maker in the room but there is a special tiny room with tea/coffee/water facilities available 24h for the guests. L’occitane cosmetic in bathroom is super nice. The breakfast is pretty standard but in general is OK.

The only thing we didn’t like was the place for a breakfast. It is a bit dark (lack of light and space) and there were no enough normal tables available, so that we were forced to eat on a chest (side table level), which wasn’t comfortable, to be honest. In other moments everything was good.
