Best Western Plus Hotel Alfa Aeropuerto

Functional room, good onsite restaurant, and free airport shuttle are a plus. We stayed here twice because of the need to catch a plane early in the morning on the next day. The modern & clean room is pleasant, and the restaurant is surprisingly good, especially given that there is nothing around the vicinity of the hotel.

Nothing is luxury or comfort from the airport to the hotel. It is next to the highway and feels like a garage building that you would see next to the airport in the US. Nonetheless, it served its purpose as an airport hotel at a reasonable price.

This is an easy gentle hotel to stay at. Front desk staff are pleasant and managed to work in English which was great because we had no Spanish. Outdoor bar area is nice. Never ate in the dining room but had excellent hamburgers and grilled cheese in both bar areas. Front desk staff informed us about the bus service into the city centre including the cost and that a credit card was needed for payment. All good things to know as the hotel is a ways out from the city centre. There is an interesting shopping/neighbourhood area just across the bridge. You can check in at 12 noon which is a real bonus if you are staying there after disembarking a cruise ship before flying. They have an airport shuttle which is pretty busy so book it early. Over all a nice stay.

I wished it was closer to more amenities that were within walkable distance.

The hotel was our destination for easy transport to the airport for an early morning flight. Unfortunately we needed to depart before the free shuttle service began so the taxi still cost 40 euros. The facility was very nicely staffed with helpful customer service representatives and food service help. Public transport to get downtown was very convenient from the hotel.

The swimming pool was a disappointment as we knew we were in an industrial area with minimal places to walk in the nearby vicinity. The tiny pool area was not the place to relax and enjoy.

Airport shuttle to the airport was great ! I didn't use it in the other direction. The restaurant was very nice with a good dinner & breakfast the next day. The room was exceptionally clean and the amenities provided very nice. There were some loud groups in the rooms around me that I heard in the hallway - but the room was very quiet. I was traveling alone - and felt extremely safe.

The place seemed a little further from the airport than the advertisement led me to believe. I could not the AC to go down very low even though it was quite hot outside. It might have been operator error ? Or a low temp limit of sorts ?

My room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I was pleasantly surprised as I found the hotel nicer than I expected. I had booked this hotel to be close to the airport & to have access to the airport shuttle service offered by the hotel for a morning flight. The bed was really comfortable, the linen really soft & soft fluffy bath towels. I also loved having tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Due to my arrival time I ended up having lunch, dinner & breakfast at the hotel & the food was really very nice. I certainly wasn’t expecting this from an airport hotel. I’d like to give a special mention to Dani who was working in the restaurant & bar at lunch & dinner time. I am a coeliac & cannot eat gluten. Dani went out of his way to explain the menu to me, let me know what dishes I could eat or what could be altered for me & check if I was enjoying my food. Really personal service. Breakfast was buffet style with quite a few options including eggs & the usual continental breakfast choices. All in all it was a very comfortable stay at an airport hotel.

Nothing to dislike.

Very good reception area & staff. Quick check in. Comfortable room with good facilities. Fast free wifi. The breakfast was excellent- a very wide choice & all delicious. Dinner was slightly less good for me, looking for vegetarian options, there was 1 starter, a soup and 1 pasta dish available. Nothing at all for vegans. Loads of choice if you eat meat or fish but I ended up having pizza in the bar. Lovely wines at good prices too. It was good to have a pool to use, open late enough for a swim after dinner.

The A/C in my room stopped working and although I asked reception to look at it, nothing was done. Opening the window isn't ideal due to the busy dual carriageway & airport close by. The pool is very small, so if you're a lengths swimmer it might be frustrating.

The hotel is in a location by itself near more industrial businesses. So, I would not plan on walking somewhere to get food. The hotel does have a restaurant and snack shop. However, it is close to the airport and has a free shuttle to/from the hotel. The room was clean and fairly spacious with a comfortable bed and bathroom. We were on the 4th floor and the room was quiet. Air conditioner worked fairly well but took 30 minutes or so to cool the room.

I thought the hotel was a good value and other than being by itself as far as location I do not have any negatives.

Considering this is a Best Western, it exceeded our expectations as far as appointments and comfort. The "free" shuttle was not helpful when we arrived, as it only runs in the mornings and evenings, and we arrived midday. We had a very good meal that evening in the onsite restaurant. A bit pricey, but very good food for a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The only negative is the lack of outdoor space. The hotel is located in an industrial area, so there are not restaurants nearby or outdoor space to relax. The rooms were very quiet, however, even with the close proximity to the freeway.

The swimming pool, sauna and business facilities, mini shop. Free shuttle bus to/from the airport. Very nice bed(s) and lovely shower room. Room has very good air conditioning. The restaurant food was excellent quality. and in my opinion was cooked to perfection. Very nice staff most of whom spoke English as well as Spanish.

It’s located some distance from the airport within a Commercial/Food industry park, a little bit remote from any shops or restaurants. A taxi into Barcelona city centre cost me €30.-

Ideal having the free shuttle bus service from the Airport to the Hotel, especially as we arrived in Barcelona in the night. Enjoyed the lovely breakfast in the morning, it was a good spread. Very fortunate that we could check out free at 13:00, as our Cruise time slot at Barcelona Cruise Terminal was at 14:00. A useful overnight stay if flying into Barcelona Airport & going on a Cruise from Barcelona Cruise Terminals. The staff are informative, friendly and professional.

Could smell cigarette smoke when we were sleeping - guests are not allowed to smoke, but some may be breaking the rule.
