Freys Hotel

Hotel has great location in the city center, in a walking distance from the old town and rather close to a tram stop. There is plenty of shops and restaurants in a very short distance, with many more available in the old town. From the pictures, we expected the hotel's interior to be heavily styled up to a point of being weird, but in real life it actually looks cute and didn't bother us at all. The room had all the amenities we needed.

We'd love to get a double bed instead of two single ones. But we booked same day on the run, so no complaints here. Breakfast didn't blow our mind, it was crowded and the choice was not wide. But it was totally decent.

The room was OK for a family of four if you take it as a place to sleep. The location of the property is perfect – just above the central station, and this makes this hotel great for visiting other parts of this beautiful city.

Breakfast area was extremely overcrowded and the offer was a basic. We arrived with a car and were told to use a garage nearby (their parking was – so we were told – full). After asking for help with paying for the garage, we did not get any information from the staff, and the same goes for any other information. In our bathroom, there was a noisy fan that was always on. Wi-Fi did not work at all.

Could hardly be closer to the central station (go out the side exit next to the Arlanda train lines and it's directly opposite). Staff are friendly and efficient. Room was small but quiet, had everything we needed and super comfy and clean. Bathroom is tiny with cunning folding shower doors so you have more space when not in the shower. The Belgobar on the ground floor is packed every night and you can see why because the food is very good. And the breakfast has a huge choice of delicious food from 'Turkish yoghurt' with mixed berries (inc lingonberries) through to eggs, bacon, cereals, pastries and of course, crispbread and rye bread. We filled up on breakfast and skipped lunch. Would definitely stay there again if we go back to Stockholm.

This is one of the best hotel rooms we ever stayed in. Very modern, clean, and spacious, with an amazing balcony. The room has all of the amenities one could need while traveling, including a microwave and an ironing table! The staff is nice and friendly, and the breakfast is good, although it gets repetitive after a few days. The location of the hotel is also great, 2 mins walking distance from the main train station (super convenient for getting to and from the airport and visiting nearby cities) and less than 10 mins to Gamla Stan.

Everything was perfect!

The staff was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Every single one of them. The property was immaculately clean. The room was very quiet. The location in Norrmalm was very convenient, right near a Metro stop, and walking distance to Gamla Stan and walkable (or a short Metro ride) to all nearly all the other tourist hotspots in Stockholm. And while the price was not a bargain -- there are no bargains to be found in Stockholm -- the price was quite reasonable.

The room was small, especially the bathroom, and especially the shower within the bathroom. That's it.

I adore Freys Hotel. It is my second time staying there and definitely not the last one. Room is not so spacious and big, but absolutely enough. It was clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean as well, towels were changed everyday. Breakfast was versatile and delicious. Staff is incredible. Everybody there was soo helpful and kind. I loved my stay, and so did my friend. We will come back again!

As Eastern European, I hoped it was a bit more warmer in the room lol. Can not think of anything tbh.

The staff was very welcoming and the room and hotel are nicely decorated. The little teddy bear on the bed was very cute. Big plus for the sauna room also which can be privatised and is really relaxing.

I was disappointed by the limited room service options, especially on the vegetarian side (the only option was a burger). The bathroom also had a rather strong sewage smell coming from the shower (not bad enough for me to ask to change rooms but strong nevertheless).

Very close to the T-centralen station. The rooms are very cute looking, and come with a TV. Breakfast is served downstairs, and at night the same area turns into a nice Belgian restaurant that they give you a little 20 kronar coupon for. They don’t use card keys here, but a physical key, which is pretty neat.

The room was very small, even smaller than the hotel we had in Gamla Stan. As a result, we could also hear neighboring doors opening and closing.

Beautiful hotel, spacious beautiful room ( triple) exceptionally comfortable beds, spotless and very well maintained. Kitchenette was really useful. Location is exceptional for central downtown area, train and airport access. Arlanda express ( Fantastic airport transfer) is literally across the road. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Stockholm as it is very good value in a very expensive city. We will definitely return!

Some staff in restaurant were quite abrupt! Reception and House keeping however were lovely.

The location is great, very close to the central terminal. And from the hotel you can easily walk around the center and see the main attractions. The staff at the reception is very friendly.

The room is very small, and the bathroom even smaller. The bed is a little uncomfortable because it has been used a lot, so the mattress topper does not prevent it from falling into the bed during sleep. And there are too many pillows on the bed as well as a teddy bear that have nowhere to put in a small room.
