Scandic No 53

My son and I had a great time. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good. Lots of choice and enough savoury and sweet. We stayed in the room without windows, it was ok since we only slept there. But next time I would book one with window.

Great location. Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed. Good shower.

Location, the staff and the wonderful breakfast amazing. Beds were comfortable. Building felt secure. I would recommend.

Rooms were sparce but functional (had two rooms). Clothing storage was a few knobs on the wall and two hangers. No business facilities. Also. I brought back food in the afternoon for my daughter who was very sick and had grabbed a sandwich for myself. I did not want to eat in the sick room, so went downstairs to the near empty lounge to eat it. I was asked to leave by the bartender as I was not allowed to eat my sandwich in the space as they 'sold food' in that area of the hotel. There was no where else to eat my food, so that was disappointing.

We were looking for an affordable hotel in Stockholm city center for our weekend break and this Scandic hotel was not only affordable (by Scandinavian standards) but also very central. The room (although we got the cheapest room type without a window) was quite spacious and super clean. The bed was very comfortable and the location very quiet (and the darkness of the room helped us get some good quality sleep). Best of all, we just loved the breakfast! They have a huge variety of high quality food to choose from, so I absolutely recommend getting a room with breakfast included. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, as well! We would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was perfect!

Great location, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Our room was small but very comfortable. Our room faced a very busy street but the room had a double set of windows so when they were closed, you could not hear the noise below. The hotel was within walking distance of the Arlanda Express Airport train, therefore we saved on a taxi and the Arlanda Express takes you directly into the airport within 18 minutes. Sunrise was around 3:30am and sundown was around 10:30pm which as strange to us, but the rooms had super quality of drapes that blocked the daylight as needed.

Our room had a thermostat and we kept adjusting it and nothing happened, therefore we asked the front desk how we operated it and we were told the air conditioning was controlled centrally. We thought we would get warm and shared this with staff. They brought a fan to our room, but to our surprise, we did not need the fan any of the nights.

Good location, close to the main train station. Area is not exactly a tourist destination, but those are really easy to reach with Stockholm's excellent public transportation system. Included breakfast buffet (usual in Sweden) was excellent, plenty of choices for anybody. Very friendly staff. Rooms are relatively small, but that's common for big cities in Europe. Good value for the money, Stockholm (cities in Northern Europe in general) are quite expensive yet still really worth seeing.

No complaints, really. A bit expensive, but that's normal for Northern Europe.

Wow! Nice location in central Stockholm and very close to the Central Train station for those exploring other cities in Sweden by train. It was also perfect for exploring old Town or Gamla Stan as it's within 10 to 15 minutes walk or a quick Bolt ride. There was an amazing Thai place right across the street where I had dinner the first night after arriving late in the day by plane. Fantastic breakfast options!! To satisfy anyone really. Size of rooms is likely too small for some, but I found it perfect for my needs. I was happy to have an inside room with no window as the sun sets late during the summer, so I was able to sleep well.

You are in close proximity to rooms next door, but this wasn't an issue for me as I had ear plugs in and most people were respectful in the hallways about any noise.

Breakfast was excellent, the spread was very good with a lot of choices. The selection of black tea was also very good as I only use tea leaves.

The room we stayed in was very small and we just could not make the room temperature comfortable. There was no desk to do any work which was inconvenient. I had told them at the front desk but I do not think it was taken care of. Since we were there for 4 nights it was quite uncomfortable at night. After a long day of sightseeing we want to have a good night' s sleep.

The location is wonderful - whether you want to explore by walking or using public transport, you are right in the center. It is also just a few steps from the train connection to Arlanda Airport.

The windows in my room could not be opened (the handles had been removed) and the air conditioning was not cooling the room down sufficiently. The only view was directly onto some sort of fire escape at the back of the house. As I had paid extra for a room upgrade I was unpleasantly surprised. There is also no wardrobe in the room I was given.

The location is great - close by to the Central Train Station and many of the sights you want to see, as well as shopping areas. The facilities at the hotel were great and the breakfast buffet had the most amazing range of breakfast food and drinks you could imagine!! The attention paid to vegan/gluten-free options was truly appreciated. A shout-out to front desk clerk - Nemo - for his exceptionally outstanding service upon my check-in. He was so professional, helpful, and polite. His assistance to get me booked in when I did not have a reservation was excellent and really made me want to stay at this lovely hotel.

The only downside was that the room was a little on the chilly side, even though I turned the thermostat the 2 degrees it went up and turned the radiator to the the highest setting (3).
