Scandic Grand Central

Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety of foods. Location is central and close to major transport links. Old town is within 12 minutes walk. Good restaurant options nearby.

We stayed 9 nights and the room was never cleaned properly even though I asked. Have to notice it's the hotel policy not to clean the room for longer stays unless you ask them to clean in advance. The beds weren't not made, shower gel was missing for several days, bathroom robes disappeared after 4 days and were never returned despite my numerous requests. If you are extremely clean, you will be frustrated and disappointed with the cleaning services.

Excellent location. We took the Arlanda Express and the hotel was a short walk away. All the main attractions were walkable and very near station and Walking distance to ferries. Breakfast was excellent, a huge choice of drinks and food. We stayed a week and I could vary my choices daily. Room was spacious and staff were friendly but we had no issues so didn’t need to interact with them much.

No issues really at a push, had to sometimes login each day to WiFi. Breakfast could get busy though could normally find somewhere to sit.

Very fancy interior with a rooftop balcony/terrace and fantastic breakfast! We were even offered a breakfast-bag on our last day since our train for Oslo was leaving at 6am and we had to check out early. The location is in walking distance to Gamla Stan, and right across from a pretty theater.

One gets a voucher for the restaurant but it was fully booked during our stay which was unfortunate. The prices in the bar are a bit steep for alcohol but that‘s to be expected in Scandinavia. The rooms are pretty vast, my parents had to walk half a marathon to get to their room which they didn‘t particularly love but it‘s not really a major negative point.

Excellent location close to Central Station and Atlanta Express. Very clean and comfortable room (we had standard twin room on 3rd floor) which was plenty big enough and nicely decorated. Nice shower and bathroom. Safe in room which was handy. Room good temperature. Fantastic variety at breakfast - anything you could imagine and more (Self-service buffet style) included in price which made this room very good value. Nice atmosphere to sit in guest lobby areas in evenings. Staff all polite and helpful. Special mention to luggage room man. He was very cheerful. Made use of luggage storage on arrival day and departure day. Would definitely recommend this hotel and happily stay again.

Nothing to dislike.

The staff was really friendly and gave really helpfull advice about what to do in the city. They looked like they enjoyed working at that hotel. The comfortable lounge with many power sockets is also quite helpful. You can set up a temp station to do a bit of work with ease.

When I checked in I mentioned I would stay for 1 possibly 2 nights. The lady mentioned ok I put a note that you're interested to stay 2 nights. The second day I was on the phone with the airline all day to see when they would rebook my cancelled flight to manage to leave the country. By noon I got a knock on the door asking why had I not checked out yet. I explained the note from above. I then get a call from reception saying that it is possible to stay but the price had gone up and I was asked to go to reception to pay for both nights. Appreciate the team in bigger hotels need to follow rules but they should be conscious when these type of "sudden increases" occur a little curt. Sometimes the rules should be "bent" to accommodate what's right for the guests.

Location was good, central, very near to train station and other transport; breakfast was very very good with lots and lots of options ( except coffee which was not great); all the facilities of a big hotel; loved the fact that they had a luggage room

The only thing I would mention is the size of the room - it wasn't really a triple room but a double with the couch extended which made getting around quite tricky and the fact that probably due to the intense traffic ( it is very big and constantly full) it needs refurbishing more often and maybe a design uplift

Lovely hotel in a prime location, close to central station (train, bus and tube). It was very clean and tidy with lovely views of the street. Check in was fast, not more than 2 minutes. The breakfast was amazing with an incredible amount of food choices from yogurts and cereal, to fruit, cheeses, meats, pastries and cooked food (scrambled eggs, mushrooms, sausages, bacon etc.). A lot of drink choices included in the breakfast as well -freshly squeezed orange juice, apple juice, coffee, etc.

Our room was slightly cold because the central heating was off (not the hotel’s fault) but we were given an electric heater by the staff at reception.

I stayed in a windowless single room. It was small but spotless and extremely well equipped. It was ideal for my purposes - basically a comfortable place to rest my head for one night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was well designed. The location is excellent - where Vasagarten crosses Kungsgarten - and there are plenty of restaurants, snack bars and bakeries on the doorstep. The breakfast was superb - even by Scandinavian standards! Lots of choice and high quality. The staff on reception were all friendly and welcoming. Recommended!

No complaints!

That is very nice place located few steps away from the central terminal (bus station from the airport). It is really convenient connection from here to the airport. The hotel is located in the center of the city, so it is close everywhere. The rooms were clean and very quiet, what is not always a case in the heart of the capital city. It was really nice place to relax after busy day.

The breakfast ... the location of the food is on multiple rooms and it is hard to find things you want. Also there is no much space close to the buffe ... when we come for the breakfast everything close has been occupied and we were eating upstairs - what was quite far from the buffet.

As its name suggests, this hotel is both grand and central, enjoying a location in the business district and not far from the station. The entrance and public areas were grand and spacious, the room itself, although comfortable, was rather small. Breakfast could be very busy, but this was generally managed well and the quality of the food was very good.
