Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

1. 3 single beds on tatami style suits my family of 4 with 2 children of 3 and 8 perfectly. Kids rolling and jumping freely. Also love the curtain provided between the beds and bathroom area where the AC is located. So i could block some aircond away from blowing directly to us while sleeping. 2. Super super powerful water pressure from the shower head. Enjoyed our shower time! Equipped with dispenser cleaning gel of both body and hair. Great initiative, reduce the single use plastics/ paper. Another highlight, the shower room floor is rough and its very safe for small children or even adults. Not slippery. Good! 3. Particularly LOVE the wooden 2-steps ladder by the wash basin for small children who can't reach the height of adult basin. This is not even available at 5 stars hotel that i stayed next in Sukhumvit. Its also available at their 2nd floor washroom. Little things that is sooo thoughtful and priceless. Who ever thought of this idea, i really want to know you, it takes a parent to appreciate this. ❤❤❤ 4. Hair dryer by the side of basin. So convenient! 5. Drinking Glass bottles provided in room to self refill from water dispenser right outside room with both hot and cold. The water runs out on our 2nd day but its fine, we fill it up at the lobby. This is another great initiative to reduce use of single use plastic bottles! 💚💚💚 6. Nice spiral tunel slide right next to breakfast dining area with a huge sheep. Makes the whole place so cute. Thats why i am coming back to Kokotel again after MCO - 3 years. While i enjoy my food, my kids play. 7. Good quality breakfast! We had BLTE sandwich - eggs, bacon, the toasted bread is seasoned with some balsamic vinegar, lots of fresh salad with tiny of salad dressing and its tasty. Croquet madam, pancakes. All good! I wish i could thank the chef myself. My kids had hot chocolate and they use 100% cocoa powder for the hot chocolate they served. Only no fresh fruit juices.

I wouldn't say i dont like but we would prefer and i would also dare to say this for everyone, We ordered the pancakes breakfast and it was served with real strawberries fruits (real fruit but not fresh, likely frozen coated with sugary syrup) surrounding the 3 pieces of stacked up pancakes. The bottom piece soaked up all the syrup and juices from the strawberries sauce and makes the pancake mushy and unedible palatably. I informed the front desk and they make another piece. It was nicely presented with fresh cream, a whole piece of fresh banana!

The staff, the food and the spik and span cleanliness. The amenities provided were really helpful. The manager and each one from the front desk are quite cheerful and helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Silom area.

The room is quite small and the bed is kind of squeezed in a small area. That was the only down side. Be mindful while getting down from bed as there is barely space between the bedside and wall. The other side doesn't even have a space to get down. Having said that rest all the things were above par.

Easy to get picked up or let off via taxi/grab. 7-11 just 3 mins walk so very convenient! There’s a massage place next door to release muscle tension after a day of walking. Lift in hotel is good. Room was clean as well. Aircon was working well, thank goodness. Shower was strong and good.

What room you booked is what you get. For our room type, as the basin was just next to beds, it is extremely loud when someone needs to use it in the night/morning, this reminded me not to get such room in future, not the hotels fault. Also, toilet and shower area is separated, I liked it for the convenience of squeezing 3 pax in a room, but some people might not. Near the main road, so might be noisy during rush hours.

I loved this hotel. It was a great location near all the action in Silom. I usually book more expensive hotels but decided to try this place as it was a very good price. The rooms are small but very clean and it has got everything you need the same as other hotels. I love that they don't use plastic for water and provide 2 glass bottles so you can fill from a water dispenser on each floor. The bed was comfortable. I booked for 3 nights and extended for 1 more night. Would stay again if in the area.

No swimming pool.

Having stayed in Bangkok many times and been disappointed many times with the condition and services at most of these hotels, I found KoKotel to be exactly the opposite of my usual Bangkok post covid hotel expectations of understaffed, poor maintenance, cost cutting, shabby and rundown. My score of 10/10 for this KoKotel is totally justified. Staff: Attentive, welcoming, Professional. Room: Exceptionally clean, small but comfortable, bathroom surprisingly clean, no bad smells or black mould. Breakfast: Probably the best I have had in Thailand, fresh and nicely cooked. Restaurant: Limited menu but what they have is very, very good. I honestly thought that the 'Sheepy' images on the website were a bit much and gave me the impression of a hostel type of establishment, I could not have been more wrong. KoKotel is a great concept with many workable 'Eco Friendly' ideas that other hotels should adopt. Would we stay here again? The answer is a solid YES! Thank you to all here at KoKotel Bangkok, a budget hotel with a 5* attitude - Well Done :-)

As a longtime hotel Engineer as Director of Engineering for hotel chains in Dubai and Europe, I could not find fault with this property and that is unusual for me. Everything is on the ball, serviced and well maintained. A well Done to the maintenance team here.

- Excellent Hotel for young kids. My kids loved it - slide and a kids play room let parents rest a bit and they can enjoy eating/drinking without chasing kids. Great job/idea! - The stuff is really nice well prepared for kids - The kitchen was exceptionally good which depends on the cook at the end of the day - Fair price compared to other hotel family arrangements

Location is quite good. Around 10-15 minute walk to BTS Sala Daeng or Chong Nonsi. There is a bus stop 2 minute walk from the hotel. It's a quite long walk, so if you bring big luggages better to take taxi/grab or airport taxi from/to airport. I went with a big backpack so walking from BTS with it isn't an issue. It's an office neighbourhood so it's quite safe. Plenty of restaurants and cooking schools around. No bar or nightlife around. You will need to walk around 10 minute if you're looking for it. So it's a great hotel for family. Even though the hotel is bit dated but it's clean. Toilet is separated from the shower. So two people can use it at same time. Staffs are nice although some may not quite understand english but they're trying.

The only thing that I don't like is the wall is quite thin. I was ok during the first 2 nights but suddenly on third got a very noisy neighbour. If you are a light sleeper like myself it's better to bring earplug with you.

Good breakfast everyday. Location is in business area, no traffic jam in mornings or evenings. Laundry and dryer available. Friendly staff, who are willing and able to help with small requests. Restaurants and cafes nearby (including a cat cafe!), train stations are at walkable distance.

The location of the pick up spot is a bit weird, so cars might not be able to come in to pick you up. Cleaning staff came in without knocking.

I like this brand. I like the way water is served, you can drink as much as you want. and it is environmental friendly. No plastic used. A lot of hotels at this price don't provide toothbrush, this place does, simply call the front desk and it will be sent to your room. I like the design here. I like the lobby. I have visited many countries and stayed in many different hotels, this brand is one of my favorite, and makes me willing to stay for a long period. Very cost-effective. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Thailand next time.

nothing, everything is good.

Very cosy double room for one person (maybe a bit small for two people). I got a room in the second building, far from families, I guess. The soundproofing was quite good, from the 3rd floor, you’d only hear noise when some crazy riders happened to pass by. The place was clean and comfortable, the safe was working well. I was skeptical when I got a room with the basin outside the bathroom but in the end, no mold or whatever smell. The shower size was very fair. Toiletries were included. The best thing was the restaurant: although there were cheaper options in the street, I couldn’t stop trying different dishes there. I loved everything: Koko breakfast, eggs benedict, pancakes, even the kids menu with rice/bacon/egg/salad was a fair meal when not too hungry. The staff spoke very good English and were courteous and kind.

I was lucky that it didn’t rain during my stay as it could have been inconvenient to cross the accommodation building to the reception/restaurant in the rain, even for only 10 seconds… but the room included 2 umbrellas!
